Obi-wan Starfighter Pilot - 9.5/10
He's great! He's so much more in scale than cc! I'm impressed! Arms are thin at the top, but it doesn't matter. The cloak is pretty cool. Two-handed lightsaber pose can be done.

Some forget that the first Obi-Wan in the Episode 1 line had arms that thinned as they went up. It didn't stop that figure from being a good toy.

Glad you like it, as the figure is slowly growing on me (although I already bought the Lego set to re-create the space fights). I smell a crossover in the works...

LT, where did you find the Obi Starfighter figure? Haven't seen him yet.

I'm not LT (as you can plainly see :crazed: ), but I got mine at KB Toyworks (along with Chewie and Han...and finally a Bespin Vader). I missed the price drop by one day...but that's okay :). I was just happy to get the figure.
And I think he's a very nice figure too. I don't like the thining arms, but under his cloak, you can't see it, so, it's no big deal.

End :).

Sorry to perk your ears, Sid. I've just been analyzing the online photos, and my opinion has swayed to pleasantly surprised.

I found mine at KB as well. I like him except for the fact that the headband covers his entire forehead instead of stopping in the middle as in the movie. Oh and the fact that when I pulled him out of the package his right hand snapped off and stayed with the taped down saber in the blister.:frus:

Um - not too sure if I like or loathe him. I feel I should love him, but there's too many 'issues'...

Awful Likeness
Left Hand magnet looks like a second hand growing out of his palm.
The radar dish is too flimsy to go into the stand

And...

He's shrugging!!!!

BTW - does anyone recommend boiling him and sticking the coruscant or deluxe head on him?

I found mine at Wal-Mart, they've been unloading new waves weekly for the last month over here. The only thing I don't like about this figure is his headband. It only goes to mid-forehead in the movie, why does it have to go all the way around his head in the figure. He looks like a Flash Gordon reject. Or a wanna-be disco dancer from Solid Gold, like some of the forumites have already commented on. It really bothers me for some reason.

I just got my Obi Wan delivered to my doorstep courtesy of Amazon.com, and I must say Im happy with this figure, sure it couldve been better but what can you do. The pose is good, and even though the space between his underarms is this it doesnt bother me. The wrists look a bit fragile though and the peg that allows for wrist articultion looks like the one Bespin Luke has on his left arm, thin, so all you people that like rough playing with your figures better be careful. Theres no waist articulation, which wouldve been cool to allow more heroic saber posin but doesnt bother me at all, and speaking of sabers, he is able to double grip the lightsaber, the trick is to have his right hand grab the upper part of the saber hilt, then the left hand(magnet hand) grab the lower end and have the magnet get a good grip. The double grip pose looks good too. The Jedi robe, while it looks more accurate and of better quality than that awful one from the Epi 1 accessory sets is too hard and looks like it was ironed with starch. The Pilot head actually looks good and I dont know why but I like it better than the CC Obi Wan one, still after I get my extra Obi Wans from Kebco Ill end up customizing one of them just for the hell of it.

8.5/10 Overall a good figure by my standards.

**Note to carded collectors**

I have heard a few reports of people who have ordered from Amazon and recieved some poor conditioned cards, not that I care cause Im a loose collector, but to my surprise the Obi Wan arrived in almost perfect condition, no veins, no dents on the card or bubble. Hell it looked so cool I even thought of leaving him in the card but my will is too weak and I opened him.

I received this figure in the mail yesterday as well. I'd have to say that the likeness is the best of the bunch so far. His jaw is wide like Ewan's, unlike the deluxe and CC versions- their faces were too thin. The this arms were made that way, I believe, so that you can bend the arms so he can hold his lightsaber with both hands. Mine has a little problem doing that, though. The thumb on his left hand is moulded to his palm.

The cloak, while a little large, still looks cool. The radar dish fits into the stand quite well, but does not fit into the hole in the starfighter very well. The peg is a little too wide. We'll work on this... somehow.
