It seems that either Kenner just likes to keep things "fresh"or they don't think they are getting the right insert for collectors. Which was your favorite? The POTF2 fact cards with pics from the movies or poictures of characters, the POTF2 movie slides, Expanded Universe fold out backgrounds, commtech chips, Force Fact fold outs from POTJ, the new backgrounds from the Saga line ( if they were improved) or just nothing at all? Sorry if got any of the insert names mixed up. I am currently going back through my collection for display puposes as my wife has finally agreed (or come to her senses as I see it) and allowed me to devote an entire room of our house to SW. I was thinking of all the different formats Hasbro has used in the past 7 or so years, and wanted to get your opinions on the best inserts.

Freeze Frames are the best, but the worst in my opinion is Flashback Cards.

I liked the Commtech Chips, but only as stands.

Having a free stand was nice, but my favorite is still the Freeze Frames.

I agree about having a free stand, especially since so many figure have problems standing. But I never cared for the freeze frames, maybe I'd think differently if I had a slide projector.
I miss the little fact files. They were kinda fun to read.

I'd pick Commtech Chips, they weren't as bad as everyone made them out to be and they could at least double for action stands.

Freeze Frames rocked! Here's the list:
1. Freeze Frames
2. COMMtech Chips
3. Flashback Photos
4. Expanded Universe scenes
5. "Hologram" stickers
6. Jedi Force Files
7. Saga backgrounds
8. Hasbro employee hairs and fingernails :frus:

Commtech chips were fun in the sense that alot of them sounded nothing like the lines from the film or were non existent (Darth Maul had maybe 3 lines in the film but ended up with 3 whole chips to himself) and as before stated they double as stands
Force files are fun to read
But no I'm gonna go with commtech chips.
Maybe an insert for the future is to include stands:)

Freeze Frames were intesting, and if you or a family member had a projector laying around then they would be even more interesting.
COMMtech Chips sucked except for the fact that they doubled as stands and plus it was pretty cool that they made the stand for the Senate Cam Droid with the Senator Palpy figure able to plug into the key-ring hole.
POTJ's force file booklets were spiffy little things, they had some ok shots of weapons and such plus other characters for the Enemy/Allies section.
Overall I'd have to say it's a tie for me between COMMtech chips and Freeze Frames. While Freeze Frames are more eye-candy when looking at a carded figure, and they also are small enough so you can evenly pack one figure on top of the other. COMMtech Chips are better when they're loose, and some had some ok recordings, like the Stormtrooper.

commtech chips since there great in my vitrine to use them as stands and keep the figs from tiping over every time my pal touches it:D

I could never figure out why the CTCs are so maligned. We finally got some kind of cool interactive plaything that also doubles as figure stands. IMO they are heads and shoulders above anything else.
The worse are the Saga backgrounds. Weird blue-tinted color and all curled up. A close second are the flashback cards, though at the time I was really intregued with the EP1 pictures.
