Birthdays and Polls

I saw something in the FAQ about birthdays, but didn't see anywhere in the profile to put it. Does it just go in the bio?

Also, there's a section on creating polls, but I didn't see the necessary buttons to do so. Is this a power that we lowly Jedi-Council-Members-turned-Moisture-Farmers are not worthy to possess?
