Geonosia Destroyed?

I just finished looking through my E2 Cross Section book and found out something. I think we see the first planet destroyed by the clone wars. Not outright destroyed, like what the Death Star does. Anyway, what I found out is. In the CS Book some of the text for the Republic Assault Ship, says the fleet will perform a maneuver called a "BASE DELTA ZERO". What that is, is all blockading Republic ship open fire on the blockaded planet. Turning the entire surface crust of the planet to molten slag.

The planet survives in the novelization. Does it specify Geonosis or does it just say the fleet is capable of such an attack?

Well that sucks, I'm sure there are friendly inhabitants on Geonosis.

Good point, Caesar. It did not say what planet was subject to such actions. It only said that "Base Delta Zero" was a last resort action, unheard of until the start of the clone wars.
