Kudos goes out to SirSteve and JediTricks for making this Collectors Club possible! I am however interested in learning the rules of this concept. I understand the trades only concept, the only part being unclear to me is, what kind of clubs will there be? Is it based on where you live or what you collect? Being in a minority of Canadian SSG forum users the regional one wouldn't suit me at all. However if people want to trade tri-logo Commtech Stormies for POTJ Bespin Guards well then that works for me. I guess what I'm asking is this a trades only version of SS classifieds? I prefer a good trade to money any day, anyway! I just need some insight to help me grasp the concept. Again, thanks SS and JT!

This is the unofficial version, I'll get SirSteve to authenticate it (or make changes) as soon as I can (probably Monday). This is the big experiment here on SSG, so it has to be played very straight if it's to survive.
Clubs can be created based either on location OR on what they collect. That's up to each individual club.
Clubs are absolutely NOT for profit or gain, clubs are meant to help everybody in the club further their collections. You join a club to help others, and to be treated the same by your fellow club members.
Anybody can start a club, but it's up to that starter to decide on the club charter, which MUST follow these guidelines.
Anybody can be invited to join a club so long as they are willing to abide by the club charter and are doing it for the love of collecting and not just hot items can be resold on ebay for profit. That type of poor behavior lessens the quality of the collector community and puts the whole club at risk of being shut down.
Let me know what other stuff you think should be in here and we'll get SirSteve to decide. Hopefully, this will go well and help the collecting community gain a little more goodwill.

This message is intended for Sir Steve and JediTricks
First I am notifying you of the formation of the Pittsburgh/ Southwestern Pennsylvania chapter of the collectors clubs (heretofore known as the PSWCC)
How about making some rule that states if you are the first in that area to create the new chapter then by default you become the "Supreme Chancellor" of that chapter.
If someone has already created one for that city then members should refer to that chapter.(of course in the case of huge cities ie: chicago, NYC more than one chapter is allowed.
if members of that specific chapter are unhappy with the chapter then they can vote to move it or create a new one.
What do you think?
I have been looking for other SW collectors in my area for some time and find that your idea can bring a very needed part of collecting to the SW universe.
Thanks and
MTFBWY always

Anything else that should be added before we make them official rules?

Well? Any other additions to take into consideration?

These two came to me right when I was going to sleep, I think they'd make good additions to the Collector's Club section...
The non-trading allowances:
- If you ask your club to look for a specific item and a fellow club member picks it up for you, you can simply repay you for the item instead of having to trade for it. However, this MUST be retail, no profiting from this action.
- If you come across an item that you strongly suspect someone in your club will want, you can pick up the item and offer it to your fellow club members, who can repay you for the item. Again, this must be done at the item's cost, no profit is to be made off your fellow club members. Well, what do you think of this idea?
Also, that "Trades Only" thing on the main page has to go, someone in there now thinks it's a trading section.
