Yeah, I really think these forums are better than the older ones for the most part. Kudos to SirSteve and JT for getting the user name field length up to 20 characters!

Yeah, I was really skeptical at first but now I'm a believer. I have seen the light!

I do have one suggestion for improvement. In the last forum format, we had the option of freely changing our avatar as part of the post reply protocol. It would be really nifty to have that option again. Maybe also having other groups of avatars only available to those of a higher forum rank.

Still waiting to use my own custom graphic.... not long to wait now (unless they change the rules in the meantime.) :)

The way I understand it, you should be able to by 75 posts.

Custom avatars come with the new rank of padawan, so check your avatar choice section for the "upload custom avatar" section when you get there.

As for an avatars sticking with a post even after you've changed to a new avatar, I've few others ask for that, same with the sig line. Dunno if Steve is gonna do this or not, obviously it would make each post heavier in data and that's a negative.

I spent a couple hours yesterday searching for a Gasgano picture (Ever so hard to find) once I got it and made my avatar and was about to change it from My IG-88 to the Gasgano Picture, It had to be JPG and I couldn't do it,so maybe in the next day or so I'll have it up :) For now IG-88 will have to do!

Back on topic...

Just wanted to throw my congrats to the SSG staff on a great forum revamp. What is this, the 4th version since the beginning? - and it's the best yet.
