Are you having permission problems when viewing pictures? Are you logged in? If so, let me know.

I'm not having any problems viewing pictures.

But sometimes the system or something will log me out automatically. This case hasn't happened in a while. Now it's asking for my user name and password, once in a while, when I reply to a thread.

I cant remember where but I clicked on a link to take me to a thread and it said I didn't have permission to view it.

Also if someone attaches an image to the forum you have to logged in just to view it

mj, the system uses cookies and cookies can act crazy at any given time.

GNT, I need to know what thread. As for the images being viewed only if you are registered, I don't think that's too much to ask for. I may change that back seeing as the whole Hasbro E2 secrecy is over.

MJ, I have that same thing happen sometimes! Sometimes, the cookie and the forums just sorta "lose synch" and I have to log back in.

As for permissions, I haven't, but a few folks a while back were. I'll see if I still have their PMs, and there may be a thread about it too.

I thought it was the cookies but wasn't sure. The cookies suck. But I can't stay mad at them forever. They just taste so good.:)

Not an image permissions issue but still an issue - I've been trying to change my avatar today to signify some kind of return, every time I click the final submit modifications buton I get logged out and get the permissions denied screen asking me to log in.

Is this something that happened when you removed the moderator status from me or is it something else?

I'm only uploading a new Star Park avatar so it isn't a size or format thing. It just seems to be in that one section of the user cp though. Everything else seems fine to me. :)

Still bugging me though, cuz my new avatar is great...... :(

Cool Jargo, can't wait to see it. What the heck is your current avatar anyway, it looks like some freaky claymation demented clown or somthing. :D

I'm still having the problem so I sent you the avatar SirSteve. Hopefully you can load it for me. Sweeeeet. ;)

JJB, the current avatar is 'Angry kid' from Aardman animations downloadable in small quicktime episodes @ www.atomfilms.com and www.shockwave.com

He reminds me of what I was like as a kid. bear that in mind if you catch any of the episodes.

But this doesn't have anything to do with the thread other than to add posts to counts.

I added the avatars and changed yours. I changed mine with no problems so it may have been a caching issue... LMK if it happens again.

Well SirSteve, I've tried several times again today to change avatars and it just isn't happening for me. I'm still getting permission denied and also getting logged off.
Is the who's online section closed off? I tried to go there and got logged off there too. Do I need to delete all the SSG cookies in my system and start over? I just don't have a clue.

Try deleting your cookies. I don't believe anyone else is having problems with their avatars. Yes, the who's online has been turned off. It's too much of a server hog.

Okay, I deleted all the cookies and then made my way to edit options to go and try changing the avatar... And then I noticed that somehow, somehow the option of enable browsing with cookies had been disabled...... *grins sheepishly* So everything is hunky dory now thank you. I'll just go and bang my head against the wall for being dumb and not spotting it before bothering you with this...... sorry...

THUNK.... THUNK..... THUNK......

OW!
