I've been buying a little again. I wonder if it's because there's not much out there right now that I really WANT to find, but I got:
1 of probably 2 more Super Battle Droids (TAC Wave 1) that I'm buying.
1 of probably 2 reg. Battle Droid 2-packs (Saga Legends) that I'm buying.
This will give me 6 droids for the scene, plus I'm going to buy 3 Octopara Droids when they come out in 2008.
I was originally only going to have Bacara and 4 Galactic Marines shooting Ki from behind, but now I'm finding that with the AT-AP and Octopara Droids I'm wanting to expand this scene.
There's really not many "new" scenes or expansions of existing ones that I planned on assembling that I can think of. But Mygeeto came up.
The confusing thing is, that while I feel this could turn out cool, I also wonder whether I'm just buying stuff to be buying stuff?
Who here is interested in making Mygeeto themselves? And how much of the scene are you going to display?

First let me say that your feelign of "buying stuff to be buying stuff" is something I've been feeling a lot lately as well and have read similarily of other collectors on other sites too.
With that being said, I fully plan on doing a "Death of Ki-Adi Mundi on Mygeeto dio".
I'll have Bacara, several Galactic Marines (not sure how many in this scene as I have at least 2 dozen right now) prolly no more than 8.
For the Seperatists I'll have:
2-4 Super Battle Droids
2-4 Battle droids...hmm, I may just go ahead and now buy some of the Legends two-packs for this purpose.
3 Octuptarras (Tri-droids)
The dio will have the bridge of course and a nice big background that I'll desing in Photoshop. The overall shape of the dio will resemble a half-circle, so that I can just "curl" the background and have the bridge meet it on two "sides".
So for the most part the amount and type of figures you've listed, Tycho, I'll be using as well. But then I'd expect that from just about anyone else too for this dio.

They need to make the UT-AT.

Interesting craft I'd never paid attention to before. I'll have to give it further thought.
Sal, I like your thinking with regards to the diorama. Yeah. We're on the exact same page. But the curved background approach is a new and cool twist.

Yeah, it actually saves on materials and you can view it form different directions and still get some depth perception out of it, even though it's "faked."
Oh and I agree that the UT-AT should be made. Heck, I'll take a mini a this point. It's just going in the background for me,so it would work with the whole forced perspective thing that I do with dioramas.

I'd like to do a Mygeeto dio, but it will have to go on my list of dios to do. I've seen some other cool Mygeeto dios on other sites and it's given me ideas.
I'd also like to do a CW Ki-Adi figure, too.
With the holidays here, my customizing and diorama-making will have to wait.
