News Links Not Working

The News items on the home page are not working. Each time I click on one, it brings up "You are not authorized to view this page" or HTTP 403(Forbidden). Hope everything is okay.

They seem to be working now. Maybe it was carbon scoring or something was jammed in there.:D

As SSG began the long trek to bring you the best Toy Fair coverage we can (why, I myself spent well over 25 hours of the first 2 days helping out), viewers took notice and as word quickly spread, the traffic levels went way way way up. If you were around last week when we tried to use the new SSG front page, that change to a new system was partially because our old News system just couldn't take it anymore. We'll have the news system back one way or another real soon, and of course, we'll continue adding to our Toy Fair coverage as well. Sorry for the inconvenience, we actually KNEW this was gonna happen, we just didn't know the fix we had ready was gonna break down first. :crazed: D'oh!

Yup, that's the riveting story of why SSG's front page is back to the old style and why the news was down. Scintillating, wasn't it? ;) The news is back online, but I wouldn't be entirely surprised if it goes down again. :o We'll have the new front page and news system up and running after Steve gets back from Toy Fair and can take a look at the situation.

We were doing 1/2 MILLION hits PER DAY during Toy Fair so with traffic like that, things have to be adjusted to handle the load until the situation is addressed.

We fixed it and pages are now flying!
