VOTE for your Top 50 Expanded Universe Figures! [Archive]

Kidhuman and I had a lot of success with our Top 50 polls we started on the site here in 2004. We used two different methods and you all indicated that 36 of 50 choices were the strongest either way. We're about 50% through with seeing all our winners made into action figures today, including likely 2008 additions. I think we should go for 100% or at least 75% before we vote again.

But with that in mind, we have 3 categories of figures to continue the line with when we do vote (and Hasbro is interested in the voting as of now). Those categories are:

1) Figures Never Made Before - see our polls we conducted in the past.
2) Resculpts - for which our previous polls allowed as write-ins and some won.
3) Expanded Universe - which was never polled.

It would take at least a year to re-read everything (especially counting the crap) and make a list of every "Page-by-Page: EU Figures Never Made Before."

Let's just list what we want.

1 pt. = Choice # 50
50 pts. = Choice # 1

Just pull from the top of your head. If you hate the EU, please don't participate. Some of us feel that Ulic Qel Droma will sell better than Darrow Willits and are willing to test that theory once we get a list to put into a larger polling mix.

I'm not really sure about figures from "Legacy." Plus I've some space left for figures from the live-action TV series if that actually spawns any strong appeal for me. I really do want even more obscure characters from Heir To The Empire and maybe I should have put Borssk Fey'lya in there, or Garm Bel Ibis, but it would take a large group consensus to push any of them to the top anyway. Let's see what happens.

Right. I'll talk with Kidhuman about when to close this poll, but for now I'd expect it to stay open until the thread gets buried. Then again, if it's hot, maybe we should "sticky post" it.

I approached making my list logically: I selected EU choices that went with figures I already owned so I could expand my dioramas.

Chux, I would appreciate it if you helped Tycho calculate the totals. I am really busy working alot and wont have the time to do so.

I will post my list tomorrow of as many as possible. I dont even think I can name 20 EU of the top of my head.

The suggest/ground rules was 50. Sacrifices had to be made, and tried to go with from what would likely sell and while as upsetting as some think the NJO is, it did very well in terms of sales, and while Hasbro would like Dark Horse for reference reasons, there still is an obscurity associated with the comics compared to the novels. I ranked mine by what should be done getting preference over what is likely to be done, but all have a definite "need" in terms of keeping the line going. Get them interested in the "start" and the "end" of the Saga, go to the late period, than finally bring in the old hands, and top it off with what most probably want.

Yeah, I need to count ORDERED lists when you guys have them. If you can't come up with 50, that's fine. But it will be scored in the list order so even if you have 10:

#1 = 50pts
#2 = 49pts
#10 = 41pts

So your order is important.

Well, I've been drafted to compile the master list. (Okay, actually I volunteered.) In order to come up with an average score, the figures have to be ranked.

If you can't come up with 50, that's okay, but please try to come up with as many as possible just to keep the numbers working as smoothly as possible. (I'd say 10 as a minimum.)

Any character from any video game, novel, comic, cut scene, Holiday Special, cartoon, made-for-TV movies released theatrically in Europe, roleplaying game, customizable card game, etc, is fair game.

KH, as far as I know, Montross is not in the Mandalorean set.

And so no one thinks I'm a hypocrite, I'm working out my list of 50. ;)

As someone who's sort of an "expert" on Tycho :D, his typical outfits are NOT the A-wing Pilot uniform he allegedly wore in ROTJ.

An X-wing Pilot Uniform would be the most useful.

As a civilian, he wears "Han Solo" clothes - his admitted hero.

He also wears Imperial Officer tunics (black and grey) for different Ops.

And Imperial TIE Fighter gear.

Finally, there's the Rogue Squadron dress uniform - white tunic over black pants with a red sash on the tunic top, also containing his campaign decorations and rank and Alliance insignia in gold.

The "Tycho" figure Hasbro opted for was likely to increase enthusiasm for an A-Wing Pilot figure.

I think it's from the Droids comic - a disguise C-3PO attempts to play upon. I don't know if C3PX is an actual real character, or one C-3PO invented for the role.

C-3PX first appeared in Droids, where there was a big case of mistaken identity, since he looks like Threepio with guns mounted all over him. It was revealed later that Maul built him.

Is that a fact? Its hard to keep up with whats coming out anymore. Keeping track of the EU Clone Trooper variants alone practically fried my brain.:D

I imagine we're quite a while away from calculating the totals however.

Should we leave discussion in the thread (I'm thining "yes") or have Kidhuman delete all posts that aren't numbered lists?

My thinking is that the discussion is helpful for those who aren't aware that a Tycho or Darth Bane figure is coming out, etc.

BTW: I get that the vote was for a young Darth Bane figure and not the one with (it's actually) a cage over his head to prevent the Dxun Moon symbiant creatures from growing there. (They're parasites that attached themselves to Bane's body when he went to raid the tombs of Darksiders interred on Onderron's moon. The creatures later multiplied but they were lightsaber resistant so Bane stuck with them. This occured after the Jedi vs. Sith War on Ruusan documented in the comics.)

I've been doing some preliminary adding / tallying of votes:

Nom Anor and more-over his Yuuzhan Vong warriors are the very-most-demanded EU figures in the lead!

Tales of the Jedi from Ulic Qel Droma and Exar Kun's era follow closely being very much in demand.

Not terribly unpredictable, but awesome choices!

Hasbro has the ability to do awesome TOTJ comic 2-packs with no trouble.

As to NJO (Yuuzhan Vong), I think the demand is showing and if KOTOR and concept figures work on single cards in forthcoming EU waves (Grievous, Ralph McQuarrie) then some Vong figures will sell for sure!

The Solo kids split their votes as some here want them as full Jedi Knights, and others as apprentices. They'll rank, but not as highly as the others I discussed above.

Voting will be open for a long while, btw. I don't see a reason to close this poll any time soon. So new people can always vote. I'll publish the totals as I get further into calculating them. Chuxter, please take your time but eventually double-check my work and I'll do likewise with yours. That way we'll make this as accurate as possible. At this point, I haven't even tallied everyone's votes, but I could see the pattern I discussed above.

If Steve wants to personally handle the outcome of this with Darryl and the crew...

He's stayed out of this sort of thing in the past, so that would be my first prediction about his behavior this time as well. Plus to my knowledge, he is not a fan of the Expanded Universe. I don't know of any other staff from SSG that will be attending ToyFair '08 either.

I was thinking that at Comic Con '08, myself, El Chuxter, and perhaps if you make it out next year, you too, can handle presenting our results.

I'm sure it can be done through e-mail or snail-mail of course, but it seemed to make a bigger impact when we could discuss our results one-on-one at C3 in Indy in '05 for our last effort like this.

Keep in mind, that it has taken about 2 years to see 50% of our previous polling list winners completed as figures (with Biggs Academy in stores, Jango Fett from his apartment coming soon, and the 21-B from Vader's birth slated for next year, amongst others).

Thus a February Toy Fair delivery or a July Comic Con delivery in 2008, will influence (at the earliest) 2009 figures. These might be competative for slots in the line-up with the Animated Clone Wars figures and possibly the beginnings of the live-action series.

EU may or may not be seen as a success at this point, too. Remember, "The Dark Woman" is just hitting shelves, and though the comic is included, some fans are going, "WTF? Who's this?" Take it a step further back in time, Ulic and Exar, as high of regard as it seems probably everyone voting in this poll holds them in, were in fact characters popularized in 1997 / 1998 - and that's 10 years ago now. (but that's also testimony to their staying power)

So, if EU's deemed a success, we might see Ulic and Exar (if our list has influence) by 2009, about a dozen years after their debut, and about that long since their disappearance, too. There is also the possibility that the fans on the Hasbro staff have the enthusiasm, as well as the great awareness of these popular characters and they are already on the short-list or being slated for prototyping now. (If that comes out, I'll remove them from the list once we see a hard-copy and bump everyone else up according to their score - the list won't close for cross-outs only until it is finalized for delivery - just like the ones that came before it that saw Padme Handmaiden and Feltripin Trevagg amongst others, come off before the list was finalized)

Anyway, I think it's interesting and exciting - all the possibilities! :thumbsup:

I was also doing some preliminary tabulating on my own, but wasn't sure how you planned on handling things like the Solo kids. I and some others didn't specify what version they should be, while others specified multiple versions of the same character in the same list. So, I counted generic and specific votes as distinct. I think that in the end, it should be taken into account that characters such as these have their votes spread out over seperate versions. I'll have to see how the numbers turn out.

Jaina and Jacen....

Since the Yuuzhan Vong are doing so well - our top vote-getters, I'm assuming any non-specified votes for Jaina and Jacen are for their Jedi Knight figures, approximately in their early 20's, as most Star Wars hero generations are that age anyway:

Obi-Wan TPM = 24
Anakin AOTC = 19
Padme AOTC = 24

Luke ANH = 19
Leia ANH = 19
Han ANH = 29

Specific votes for Jaina and Jacen as teens, will be regarded for their appearence in the Young Jedi Knights series at approximately 15 years of age, though that takes them up until they're 18 or so. I'm taking that to mean them in their tan "Bespin style" training fatigues, not the black, unless that too is specified.

Anakin Solo died as an older teenager, so I think he's best represented as in Junior Jedi Knights in any case (NJO or not).

So a straight vote for one of the Solo TWINS gets you their NJO Jedi Knight get-up. Again, if you want Jaina Solo in Rogue Squadron X-wing Pilot gear, please specify that. There has been at least one vote for her in that incarnation, too.

Anyway, I think this approach is logical considering NJO's popularity. If anyone needs to specify their vote for different Solo Twin figures, I'll change that for them on my score sheets. Otherwise, you don't have to do anything as I assumed the vast majority of you wanted the Jedi Knight figures.

Not having read anything past Hand of Thrawn, I'm only familiar with them as little tykes. So, I voted generic just because I'd like any version of them. I'd prefer something other than them as little kids, but haven't read far enough to know which version I would like best. NJO is probably the most logical, but Young Jedi Knights versions would probably be good too.

In the Mandalorian Evolutions set shown in the Hasbro slide show at Comic Con, they showed Jango, Boba, and Mandalore. The last looked very much like the Tales of the Jedi incarnation who swore his allegiance to the Sith Lord Ulic Qel Droma, which started the whole business of the Mandalorians being defacto servants of the Sith - traditionaly anyway.

I need more confirmation that Mandalore is a TOTJ figure, but if so, that really opens the door to Ulic, Nomi, and Exar, doesn't it?

This Boba figure has a removeable helmet, btw - for any of you considering voting for that. It's unnecessary as the figure will be released around Christmas time or First Quarter next year.

Oh - and surprise! - he looks like Jango under the helmet (with a skull cap on) - Steve's got pictures in his gallery. (and you thought it was JarJar under the helmet!)

I guess I'll go for NJO Jedi Master, but I kind of like all the options. Corran kind of deserves more than 1 figure, but those who have already voted get to only specify 1. New voters can list several Corrans I guess.

It's "not fair," I know, but I myself get to pick only 1 Corran and this could screw up my on-going tabulation if I allow everyone to adjust their votes.

However, if you really, really want more than 1 Corran figure, please let me know what figure off your list you'd sacrafice for him, so that I could award those points to Corran # 2 instead (maybe - if I feel good about it).

If you only want one Corran, just specify which one. Thanks.

Oh, the same thing goes for a non-A-Wing figure for Tycho Celchu (X-wing, RS Dress Uniform, civies) - you can vote for that if you specify, otherwise I can't count your vote because Tycho is coming out in a few months already anyway.

Mandalore is 100% the TOTJ version, Mandalore the Indomitable. It DOES open the door for Exar, Ulic, etc but Hasbro's still dropped no hints about them, far as I recall from all their Q&As. So I had to still vote for them, but didn't rank 'em so high as I might've because of the possibility Mandalore implies.

For the Corrans I picked, I guess Jedi Master would work too (not entirely sure when he became one, but it's the NJO version I want for that no matter what), and for the Rogue Squadron pilot, I guess the version from the books, so putting him in his mid-20s. I'm not too concerned with ages on most of the figures, just that the Solo kids look like they're in their late teens, even Anakin (he's ONLY a year younger, after all; make him a little shorter than Jacen, it's all good), and that any NJO/LOTF versions of OT characters look older than any movie versions. And make sure Leia's got a good head sculpt, not like MonkeyFace1995 or TinyUglyJediHead2007.

Not sure about which Corran Horn version I want. I've only read the X-Wing books and I, Jedi. Another X-Wing pilot would be boring. I'm not sure what he would look like in I, Jedi. The picture on the cover doesn't look anything like the drawing in the New Essential Guide to Characters, which looks nothing like the Decipher card. None of the pictures on the Star Wars wiki page seem to be alike. I guess I like this one (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Image:Iii.JPG) best, which is how he looked in the New Essential Guide to Characters.

Yeah, when in doubt, the default will be the latest "Essential Guide to Characters" look. However, like Toominator specified Wedge in his civies, you can pick a specific comic book or whatever.

I loathe the cover art to "I,Jedi" - it's not representing Corran at all. But Toominator really compiled his list well. It's easy to tell exactly what he's voting for. Nice job! (Yet Ulic Qel Droma (default Jedi Knight) has two different looks - the Sith Lord being the Alt version. Actually 3, as there's "Ulic from Redemption" too. :rolleyes: )

Specifiying Ulics - I guess we must - may cause him to fall in the poll rank due to splitting his votes 3 ways. But I guess we have to.

The wiki page says the I, Jedi cover is Corran posing as Kieran Halcyon.

As far as Ulic goes, I've never gotten past the comics where he is a Jedi. So, I guess I'll leave my vote as that. This picture (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Image:Ulicandnomi.JPG) with Nomi Sunrider might be an inspiration for a comic pack, but so could one with him and Exar Kun, or his brother, or with Vima Sunrider.

I guess for Ulic I'll go Jedi. I put Jedi/Sith but I like the notion of a Jedi version better.

FYI regarding Corran Horn... the Decipher card is NOT TO BE REFERENCED AT ALL. That's Michael Stackpole posing as Corran, which he agreed to do despite looking nothing like his own descriptions of Mr. Horn.

I never liked that hooded Corran image... just feels like an awkward drawing. But the outfit's fine, I like this pic better, same outfit tho:

It's pretty much Ki-Adi-Mundi's outfit, so it's kinda unimaginative for that, but it looks good on a human in those colors. It'd also mean Hasbro could just repaint ROTS Ki-Adi with a new head & saber (and separate hilt) for Jedi Corran, though he'd wind up a bit taller than he should be :)

I think Pilot Corran would be fine if only because he'd be in a green jumpsuit. Another possibility--though Corran himself may never have worn it, been awhile since I read it--is him in the later Rogue Squadron uniform, when he'd been reported dead: green suit, dark gray flanks, piping on legs, black sleeves. Could be fun to see.

Just a few words about this list - I don't read or like most of the books, so there are very few novel or comic characters here. Number one is Jaxxon, since a huge green rabbit is just so damn weird and cool that I want it. Number two is Kneesa since before I even knew about SW, my older sister had a book about Kneesa in it, so it has some sentimental value as one of my earliest SW memories. Number three is Teek since I like him in the Star Tours video and he's also just damn weird. After that, it's Clone Wars characters, then characters mentioned but not shown in the films, then Luke's Tosche Station friends (EU enough), then characters from the TV shows/movies, and then figures made in the vintage line from the cartoons.

I'm doing some more preliminary tabulating and I'm getting some interesting results.

The following is an ordered list that together, all of us are generating. Scores are not listed, but the characters are ranked from Most-Wanted to Less Wanted (though still high enough to make the list).

A brief argument regarding which Pellaeon to shoot for -- while his Captain incarnation would be great for Thrawn Trilogy stuff, as a companion to Thrawn, I think I'd prefer Admiral Pellaeon from when he was Supreme Commander of the Imperial Remnant military. The bonus is that his rank badge would be perfect for an easy repaint into Grand Admiral Pellaeon later on (official or simply customized), no more pips needed, to get the Old Man of the Empire. If he has a removable cap (as all future Imps should) it's even better, so the cap can be ditched for his GA version.

So to get a Captain, maybe, Hasbro (or we!) could plop an extra Pellaeon head on a Jerjerrod body (or a Jerjerrod/Ozzel hybrid ala the DS Briefing figures) for a Captain-badge version.

Palleon is shorter, remember. If the Ozzel figure is an accurate height (Ozzel was also shorter), then he is the best candidate for a custom body base.

Even though I own 2 of them for the appropriate "scenes," I cringe when people mention the Jerjerrod figure with his "I'm so angry the Emperor sent his lapdog down here to mess with my Death Star business, b!" expression when the man was so frightened, you'd think he'd add a neckbrace to his uniform if he had to be around Darth Vader.

Anyway, it also looks like Dark Forces video games will become a big contributor to EU figure ideas. The 80's Ewok and Droids cartoons could possibly as well. I'm working on tallying that.

The above makes some really good mixes:

there are 2-3 females in each set of 10.
there are 1-3 aliens or droids in each set of 10.
there is at least 1 "bad guy" in every set of 10, and on one occasion, even 6.

NJO dominates with 16 selections that could easily hail from that novel series - more than twice as many as the next competitor. Many interesting 2-packs can be made with these choices.

HTTE shows its staying power with 7 recommendations from you guys.

Clone Wars is not surprisingly the strongest category for Prequel EU showing.

Legacy of the Force has several selections exclusively to it, others with LOTF potential.

After all these years, SOTE holds its ground.

TOTJ comics are on an equal par.

These results are only temporary, but might indicate the must-read list for some of you.

Tales of the Jedi figures can likely be single-carded as KOTOR is being done with.

The Jango Fett: Open Seasons Montross vs. Jaster Mareel would make an awesome 2-pack with its comic, btw.

Some of these scores may have ignored other characters who made or are making gains up the ranking list. If you feel your favorite character has been slighted, please add up their scores and post what it is and where they should rank. It's possible I made a mistake and this poll is far from over yet. I'm just helping myself tabulate and commenting on whatever interesting patterns are emerging.

With Palleon for example, the issue of Capt. or Adm. or Grand Adm. has not been decided yet. Siri Tachi could be young to go with Obi-Wan when he was Qui-Gon's apprentice and she was Adi Gallia's. Or she could be Ferus Olin's Jedi Master, while Obi-Wan trained Anakin.

Darth Plagueis was suggested to be a Muun (San Hill's species). I'm not sure if any of you know that. I don't think there are picture references, though now an Essential Guide might contain something.

Ben Skywalker would most likely be covered as a late teen Jedi Knight.

Tenel Ka? A young Jedi Knight or the Queen of the Hapan System later in life?

Any picture reference for Darth Caedus (Jacen Solo as a Sith Lord in the future)?

I don't think we'll worry about these issues right now. However, these characters may very well have strong staying-power on our final list. So at a later time, we must decide these things.

I noticed that Mando3lite has voted for Obi-Wan in clone armor twice, as well as Obi-Wan in clone armor on a speeder bike with lance, so actually three times. Mister Roboto has two #36's thus resulting in a list of 51.

I don't see Ackmena on your list. I don't know if it is because you haven't tallied her votes yet, or because of the difference in spelling and the fact that she is listed as Bea Arthur in one list. I have her with a total of 138.

I also wonder if Shira Brie and Lumiya votes should be combined. I don't know enough about the character to know the difference. I just discovered that they were the same while looking up the characters in the list.

Misspellings have made it a little bit difficult to look up some characters and determine which character people are referring to. Here are a few that I've not figured out yet.

Bok - metaljedi didn't specify which Bok he was referring to. There are several Boks listed here (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Bok), including one actually spelled Boc.

Death Water Commando - I've not been able to find out who this is. I couldn't find it on the Star Wars wiki. This was on Sinscia Fat'o's list.

Kis'im - I tried different spellings but couldn't figure out who Kidhuman was voting for here.

Marauder Warrior - Mister Roboto and El Chuxter both voted for this. Are these Sith Maruaders (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Sith_Marauder)?

I'm still trying to create my own tally. When (if) I finish, I'll message you Tycho so that I can send my results for comparison.

I was referring to a "generic" figure of a Sanyassan Marauder (http://www.starwars.com/databank/species/marauder/index.html), as seen in Ewoks: The Battle for Endor. (The "Sanyassan" came well after the fact, and they're only called Marauders in the film.)

C'mon, you didn't seriously think I would vote for a KOTOR character over an Ewoks character, did you? :p

Physically, they're the same person, but Shira Brie was once a young covert agent of the Empire who seduced Luke Skywalker in Marvel Comics time. Lumiya is sort of a Dark Side Force user who has been cybernetically altered. It is like the difference between an Anakin and Vader figure. Lumiya had enough points to make the list. Shira Brie (in her youth) did not.

I got 131 for her and not 138. It barely makes a difference - just whether people want Koth Melan and Winter more than the Holiday Special Bartender or not. I'd suspect a Bothan and a lady Rebel agent would be more in demand anyway (except at Happy Hour). She does knock Darth Caedus off the list though. However, we have a long way to go before June, and any figures Hasbro shows at Toy Fair that might coincide with our list will be removed and the larger crowd advanced up in rank for the final list. - but it's not wasting a vote to support likely characters at this stage. We have no hardcopy in plastic of anything on the larger evolving list.

That only totals 44 points. If Bok is meant to be Boc, then that would give him 90 points and would put him in the top 100 just barely.

On the multiple Obi-Wan's, are you just deleting the other two and moving everything else up one? On the list of 51, I just left off the 51st name.

Anyone voting for the spelling "Bok" is likely voting for the Morgukai warrior from REPUBLIC. And really, who doesn't want an awesome Nikto warrior that gets CLONED to allow for some troop-building goodness & someone for your GAR forces & Jedi to battle besides a bunch of droids? :) I'll take that over a half-naked pasty-skinned crazy Twi'lek Dark Jedi from some goofy live-action cut-scenes of a video game any day :p

As it stands, Bea Arthur (as Ackmeda, or whatever) kicked Jacen Solo as Darth Caedus off, but I'm not updating right now because it's unnecessary at this juncture. The poll will be open for as of yet, a long time.

Meanwhile, Kis'im was a cool character. I don't think I like the name. Sounds like "Kiss Him," and I get this unpleasant picture of George Michael training Boy George to be a Jedi. :rolleyes:

Okay, now I found him. The reason he wasn't showing up was because his name is Kas'im.

Meanwhile, Kis'im was a cool character. I don't think I like the name. Sounds like "Kiss Him," and I get this unpleasant picture of George Michael training Boy George to be a Jedi. :rolleyes:The local classic rock station is KISM 92.9 FM, so that's all I was thinking of.

BTW, I knew Talon Karrde had some meaningful demand, but 1st place? I did expect him to be in the Top 10 or close to it though. I'm just a little surprised by his lead he took over others like the Yuuzhan Vong Warrior and Nom Anor. But I considered that nearly everyone read Heir to the Empire.I think the fact that he was a fairly major character in that trilogy was only part of the reason. He has also been in plenty of other stories as well, spanning a large chunk of time, and playing an important role. Plus there is a bit of the Han Solo factor. He's kind of what Han Solo used to be, or what he might have become had he not gotten so involved with Leia and the Rebellion and eventual new government.

The love for the EU is so strong that we've nearly gone a month (just shy of one by 1 week actually) without new votes, so I thought I'd bump up the thread for October.

It's close enough to the 30-day anniversary for this thread that I'll bump it so new participants can join in.

Eventually, when the original MOVIE scene-by-scene "figures never made before" list we voted for in 2004-2005 is done or nearly all done, I plan on using the unmade choices in that thread, combined with the EU winners in this thread, to do a new scene-by-scene poll and generate a new list.

The Force Unleashed, Clone Wars Animated, and Live-Action TV show may be getting under way by the time this poll happens. So the one we're running in this thread remains open because you never know if newbies will have the chance to post offering their preference for any new characters added to the mythos by LucasArts.

The remaining figures we originally voted for that have not yet been made are almost entirely "non-action roles." The exceptions are more cantina aliens and Jabba Palace characters. The main-character suggestions only really revolve around Padme, but there's a non-action Luke and a couple R2D2 variants in there. Cloud City might also be further fleshed out with cutting-room-floor-extra-aliens, but they'd still be cool to see made to expand that location's presence in the action figure line (not to mention offer the black Bespin Guard who is now rumored).

Anyway, vote away if you haven't done so already. Mad Slanted Powers is keeping an excellent tally, but you guys need to make his job more exciting.

I'm pretty sure I read (In Dark Horse's SW Visionaries) that Darth Plagueis was a Muun (from Muunlist, Separatist San Hill's alien species with the super long head, and sort of purple skin). I believe his speciality was Sith alchemy - which explains why he could prolong or create life with midichlorians. As Darth Maul proved, all Sith need not be humans.

Muun can be a boring species, but they created the IG lancer droids and IG-88, etc.

Yes, I understand he's a Muun, but really; from the pics we have seen so far he's just Sidious (looking very similar except the super long head which you don't see in any of the pics) in Sidious attire.IMHO Until he's fleshed out a bit more, that's all he's going to be to me.

I'm not feeling Plagueis. Take a San Hill figure and throw on a Sith accessory set robe from E1.

Maybe they'll change his species from what I think it is (Muun) but whatever. Will they make a young Palpatine to go with him? Or should you use the Clone Emperor figure from 1998 Dark Empire's EU figure? Someone could do a simple "custom" display like that: Clone Emperor with San Hill wearing a Sith robe and you have a Master and Apprentice for whatever that's worth.

I think I had Widdle Warrick on my list - well, apparently the Endor Battlepack that everyone thought was a poorly colored Wicket is actually Widdle (according to the packaging, but still a repaint of Wicket). Cool!

Of cowrse it's widdle. He's a widdle perwson awfter awww....lol sorry couldn't help myself. (This is not a slight on little people, but rather on Hasbro's screwup.)

Yeah, I actually got this set today and looked at the back, and it's definitely Wicket. I had briefly looked at this page (http://www.rebelscum.com/TACUBPendor.asp) before, and it said it was Widdle, but didn't read that it didn't say so on the package. Widdle is Wicket's brother and was in the Ewok movies and cartoon, and his fur is the same coloring as this new figure.

Whatever his name is, it's a new Ewok, and likely as close to Widdle as we'll ever get.

A piece of good news and housekeeping item:

several figures that are ranking here are now strongly rumored as coming in 2008's comic 2-packs.

If they're made, they will be taken off the list and those ranking beneath them will advance.

NO ONE is going to get to re-vote. You get your figures you want -before all the votes are totaled and reported to Hasbro. The rest move up.

Right now, this could affect:

Cade Skywalker
Grand Admiral Thrawn
Talon Karrde

or 4 / 50 - which is not a big deal. IF you voted for all of these, 46 of your other votes may still be registered as most important.

On Itchawaroo, I'm guessing you mean Attichitcuk, or "Itchy".

For now, I'm not distinguishing between Lumiyas, other than to count her separate from Shira Brie. It seems that most of the votes so far are for Legacy era. If we get enough votes for Marvel era Lumiya, then I can split the votes up. However, keeping the votes together means at least one version places higher in the final ranking.

We've had several votes for Saesee Tiin in armor, so I've counted your vote as that.

There haven't been many votes for Xizor, so I just counted him with the rest as a Xizor resculpt.
