Forum subscription?

So, um... what exactly does it do and why should I want to subscribe? I did subscribe to the episode two spoilers forum to see what it did and so far I'm still non the wiser other than I'm now subscribed... Does it serve a purpose? Will it get me brownie points? I just don't understand what the feature is for.

Would it be like the "Email Notification" when you post to a subject or creating one,luike that or something different?

First off, if you subscribe to a thread, it will email you whenever that thread gets a reply, though I believe it will only email you once per thread no matter how many new posts that thread gets till you log in and look at the thread again. To control these, or view 'em all at once, go over to the User Control Panel and you can see all your subscribed threads instead of hunting them all down.

JT, I originally had "yes" checked for this option, and I had about 7-10 e-mails received in a few minutes, so I think it may sent you one every time a reply is made. I changed to "no" pretty quickly!

You sure it wasn't one email per thread? That's how it's supposed to work, I am pretty sure. If not, that could get irritating fast.

I think its every post made you get a e-mail telling you about it cause I too had to change to "no" after getting more than 20 emails!
