You guys think it is the real deal? It is like 3 hours away from me so I could go buy it in person. Would be nice if i knew the exact measurements on a real one so I could check it. But it looks right in the pic I think.

I would NEVER buy a loose vinyl caped jawa...NEVER! It's just WAY to easy to replicate those vinyl capes. Hence, IMO anyone trying to sell one loose is just trying to pull the wool over others' eyes.

hopefully you will not succumb to it

Ditto. I would have a hard time doing it even if I could feel the texture of the cape in person, because vintage obi-wan capes can be modified. Stay away!

Like Deoxy and JON9000 I would stay away from this. The color on the front shot looks pretty good, but the back shot is another story. That looks like a cut down Ben cape to me. The color just doesn't look right. Given the fact there is only two photos, both of which are a bit blurry, and the seller has less than 100% positive feedback I'd be real leery. But to the seller's credit he says he'll give a full refund if your not happy (not that's proof positive).

I have heard one too many stories of these being rip offs. Be very skeptical.

Here's a thread from RS going over this very topic. It also covers the Double Telescoping figures too as those are starting to be faked as the price for them rises.

I would rather buy from a major sw dealer than an individual off ebay. At least you know what you are getting even if you have to pay a little more.

I can still remember when I was kid going to Toys r Us and seeing the original Jawa figures for the first time. I remember saying to my parents I like the ones with the cloth capes - they look better (more like the movie) than the vinyl ones! I remember sorting through the $1.97 vinyl ones to try to find the better cloth caped ones! lol

WOW! I cannot believe that this Jawa sold for $364 and it is right here in my hometown!!! It is just so hard to believe any vinyl caped jawa is real and paying that much without really knowing seems a little crazy. Then again, if I would have known about it, I would have contacted the seller and went to look at it myself.
