Did anyones star wars bonus disc dvd come with a title sheet inside or a playlist or anything whatsoever?
And is it just me or did you feel ripped off for having to pay extra for a bonus disc?
Taking the sticker off left a mess for my case.
Great movie though.
damn great movie.

No... it's a fun fluff piece that goes well with the "Beneath the Dome" DVD. I kinda like it for what it is. *shrug*

Fluff is right, there are only two scenes to watch so there is no need for a menu, title sheet etc. The one difference between this and Beneath the Dome is I'll watch 'Beneath' again vs. the Wal Mart disk likely never.

I also bought the Wal-Mart set and feel a little ripped off. Does anyone remember if this was available elsewhere already, I swore it was a special feature on either AOTC or out of the box set but I looked and couldn't find it!

I think something similar was on the AOTC VHS before the movie started. Similar... not identical.
Also... I wouldn't be so damn mad about the purchase. I mean, the back of the DVD told you exactly what you were buying.

What angered me was the sticker thing. I had to have my wife sit here that night and fix it with nail polish remover. I had the same problem on the real disc.
I haven't watched the bonus disc yet, so I don't know how ripped off I've been. Like someone said, it is another Star Wars disc in my collection.

The best thing to get that sticker off with is a product called "Goo Gone" I've used it to remove the price stickers from my figures for years now with no damage to the card back. It only takes a few minutes to get that sticker off.
On the disc side, I haven't watched it yet, but I figures one more SW disc for my collection. now I just have to get the "Ewoks Adventure" :D

I always have trouble with this kind of stuff too, on DVDs, CDs and even some books. I found the best way to get the excess "gunk" off is by getting most or all of the paper off, leaving the sticky glue stuff. Then hold a piece of scotch tape against your thumb with your index and middle fingers (sticky side out) and dab the area repeatedly (quickly on and off, pressing on with your thumb and pulling back off with your fingers each time) where the "gunk" is. It only takes a little off at a time, but 15 or 20 dabs is all it'll take. Sometimes it takes a piece of tape or 3 to do it also.
I don't mean to get all scientific geek and such, but the sticky stuff left behind stays there because the paper the sticker is printed on isn't strong enough to pull the glue off, whereas the plastic on the DVD or CD case is, therefore it sticks. The substituted scotch tape is strong enough to hold that glue, therefore it does. Give it a try, it works for me all the time.
Hardest part is remembering where you put the tape last when you need it. Good luck.
Or you could just swap it into a new case like I did. :)
Wedge, what do you mean about having the same thing happen with the real disc ? Was your ROTS DVD separately wrapped under the dual wrap ? It should have been . . . unless you mean the other stickers on that one.
How do you guys open your new DVDs ? I don't try to peel away those security stickers, I cut them down the middle at the seam of the case, then I peel them off from there so I don't have to dig at the corners and eff up the case itself. :)

I've got a nifty difty Cd/DVD cutter that rides the side of the case while cutting the top. Got it at WM a few years back. Makes opening the child-proof movies much easier

I think what you are thinking of is the promotion that Wal-Mart kept playing non stop on their TV sets when they re-released the trilogy on VHS with the sneak peak look at EPS 2. I think that is exactly what it is. Since it is a WM exclusive item.

I take a small pocket knife and cut the top (where the plastic is folded) left to right, then take it all off. As far as the security tape, I also cut it in the middle so that there are 2 solid halves to peel off. To me its easier that way.
I do the same thing with video games and music CD's.

What I didn't like about the Walmart DVD was that it was suppose to be the story of Star Wars but they left out ROTS and the ghost scene at the end of Jedi still had the Sebastian Shaw ghost image and not Hayden C.
The dvd had a 2004 copyright on it so it was made recently - just don't understand why they didn't take more care in putting it together. Leaving out ROTS is pretty stupid since it's suppose to be the Story of SW and the dvd is being packaged with the ROTS.
Had I known that I probably would have skipped getting it. Strange - they put the John Williams DVD out on the story of SW which was fantastic and they just throw it into a little cardboard sleeve. The story of SW which is incomplete with no ROTS footage and the Sebastian Shaw clip is put into a dvd case. Too bad the Williams DVD didn't get the case it deserved and they could have thrown this walmart dvd into a cardboard sleeve.

I first try to take the tape off myself, if that doesn't work I use a knife to slit down the middle then take the two 'sides' of tape off.
Speaking of taking stuff off of dvd covers, did anybody else have a sticker about 2 inches in diamater that was half on the bonus disk and have on the ROTS disk? It came off the ROTS disk super easy but on the bonus disk I have some glue on the cover. While it isn't a big deal it kind of honks me off.

My Wal Mart was sold out of the set a few days after it came out.

Are you sure on that ? My CD soundtrack had a dual jewel case with the Musical DVD nested inside. :)
