I caught this movie over the weekend, and it turned out to be far funnier than I suspected it would. I'm sure it helped that I have worked customer service enough in life to see familiar faces and actions on both the customer and employee side. Unfortunately I think those people were supposed to be caricatures, but they were terrifyingly accurate reflections of things I've seen.

Ryan Reynolds definitely makes this movie, but that's not a surprise. He always raises low humor to hilarity and makes even the biggest jerk of a character a lovable cad. I always wonder if he's having as much fun as he looks like he's having.

The biggest complaint I had was that there were not enough stupid-customer moments. My two most recent jobs have been very heavy on customer service, and I detest customers with fiery passion that burns any happiness I had in my life to ashes. There were really only two instances where they had crappy customers.

Bishop, their wise man of the dishes was pretty awesome, and I love when Naomi tells him off.

And I'm kind of curious why Reynold's character has his change of heart at the end. I mean, yeah, it's a fart joke filled movie about slackers, so the idea is to let it slide on certain plot points, but Natasha wasn't going to turn him in and . . . damn.

If you want to see one movie right now . . . see Serenity (cheap plug), but if you're seeing more than one, you might put Waiting on the list.

I plan to see this movie this weekend and I am looking forward to it somewhat, but I can tell you right now that I HATE that ****ing Andy Milonakis  and I think he has no business being in movies, so I'm worried that he's going to drag it down for me. Ryan Morrisette ;) , David Koechner, Luis Guzman, and Dane Cook should all be good, though. :)

I'm on the opposite side of the Milonakis fence. For this guy, you either love him or hate him, there really isn't a middle ground (at least for the people I know).

I agree about Dane Cook though, that guy is hilarious! Also, I love Freaks and Geeks so it's good to see John Frances Daley again (and not in that idiotic-looking Kitchen Confidential). Oh, and Justin Long rules too! I haven't seen this movie yet but I want to.

Saw it last weekend with Jim Jam and it was good but not great. Dane Cook was cool, should have been in it more.

Oh my god was that Andy Milokakis stupid, I mean what an idiot. But he wasn't in it long enough to ruin it. He was bad enough to ruin it, that's for sure, but he wasn't in it quite long enough to do so.

Luis Guzman and The Goat was great. lol lol lol

Yeah it was alright, I'm happy I saw it at the midafternoon price. :D And as far as that Andy Milokakis friend of yours Caesar man did he blow! I was thinking he'd be in the movie more (which I'm glad he wasn't), although that song he sang over the closing credits was bad.

My favorite Luis Guzman part was where the picture is taken of him and his girlfriend 'having relations' in the bathroom stall and he's giving a big .

Yeah, I forgot about watching the end credits with the outtakes or whatever they were, we were enjoying them and then suddenly that douchebag started rapping in a video and we got up out of those seats pretty fast ! lol

One of the trailers for 'Domino' was for a new Ryan Reynolds flick that is coming out in December (I think). Ryan is a music producer/manager who goes home to visit and tries to woo the girl he wanted to date in high school. The catch? Back in h.s. he was quite a bit "bigger" and he's lost a ton of weight since h.s., the showed some stuff of him when he was 'fat' and it was pretty funny. Although it doesn't sound like much but it looked pretty good from the trailer, I'll go see it.

Let me guess, he'll be bringing his trademark sarcasm to the role, right ?

From what I could tell? Yes. Although it did seem to have a bit more of an actual story to it.

Saw it last weekend with Jim Jam and it was good but not great.

My opinion on this matter changed after I got the DVD...since then I've watched it probably 30 times, it's crazy. lol Despite my hatred for Milokanakis (who still sucks ;) ), this movie is hilarious and got better with multiple viewings. I love it!

Dane Cook was cool, should have been in it more.

My opinion on this matter has not changed, he definitely should be in it more!

I'm a rather new convert to the "Waiting" game. I watched it for the first time about a month or so back and I fell in love with it. Luis Guzman is quite possibly the best person they could ever pick for that role.

Great movie and the little bit that Dane Cook was in it was funny as hell.

It kind of bothered me that off all the goofballs in that restaurant, Mitch chose Floyd as "the worst" when he was setting them up for The Goat. :D

I thought that made it even funnier. Floyd was one of the only ones to NOT do something terrible to Mitch so him calling him out kinda through 'em all for a loop long enough for the tuck and turn.

Oh it was hilarious, I just felt bad for ol' Floyd. :D

"ME? What the f*** did I ever do to you, man?"

I've still only watched it the one time. I think my brother owns it on DVD, but I don't recall what he said about it. I still uphold it was pretty funny, though I reiterate the fact that it's most likely just because it all looked so familiar. I too liked the thumbs up Guzman gives, and the look on his face was awesome. How are the extras on the DVD? That's definitely one movie I want to see the obligatory "Unrated" version of.

I have no idea on the extras because I've never even made it to disc 2...whenever I decide to get a Waiting fix, I just end up watching the movie because it's so good. lol

I've heard good things about the extras but I can't confirm that.

I hope there's more David Koechner in there because he is wonderful. :)

Is it any surprise that very shortly after the release of this movie, the two local Bennigan's restaurants in my area shut down after more than fifteen years of business?

Finally saw Waiting last night.
Despite it being obviously Clerks-inspired, I though it was really funny, but methinks you kids over-hyped it a wee bit.

I want a screencap of the polaroid of Luis Guzman in the bathroom. Hilarious.
