I'd like to hear what you think of our Auction System (http://auctions.sirstevesguide.com/). Any feedback would be appreciated... is it a waste of our time or?

I like it. Once I get my roommates digital camera up I'll no doubt post some goods. Obviously since it's new not much is up for sale but hopefully it grows. I've only bid on one item thus far and am 0 for 1 on winning. (Hope you enjoy those damn California lottery coins.:p)

The coins are great! :D

And yes, the hard part is obviously getting people to add items. Seeing as it does not cost for a basic listing and there is no fee unless it sells, there is nothing to loose. Not to mention we give you $10.00 in credit towards your fees.

I think that that is the problem- we just need more interest in it and more people.

More interest in the system would be good,maybe squeezing in a banner somewhere for the auctions.

One thing I'd like to see changed is more payment options besides PayPal.Dont know how good that would work out though.

Ive gotten away with cash a couple times (but I dont like to do it)- i usally do money orders.

Money orders is the way I go. Not a fan of paypal any longer.

I normally use money orders as well. Especially off of auctions,if its just a trade with a SSGer I communicate with often,I use cash.

I think there should be a MO option then.. :D Yeah.. I dont like paypal.

We decided to go the PayPal route to ensure each user is verified. That means, less chance of getting scammed. Instead of US holding a credit card on file (to verify your identity), we simply let PayPal do it. We will be advertising the auction system very soon in several different media outlets.
