MBNA is scraping the bottom of the barrell with this next promotional bust.

I just recently did the Star Wars credit card thing, I signed up under the idea of getting the Chrome Jango bust and when I activated the card they even told me that all I had to do was charge $25 to the card by June 30th and I would get ol' Pappa Jangers in the mail.

Soooooooo I made a charge (I got about 3 gallons of gasoline for that 25 lol lol lol ) anyway I made the required charge and a few days later I got a letter from MBNA saying that Jango is no longer in production and (even worse) it is being replaced with the new C-3PO bust. :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

Don't get me wrong, the pics of this appear to be an incredibly well done piece but come on, it's C-3PO ! :rolleyes:

He's my least favorite main character in all the saga so I end up joining right when they switch over to him ? :(

I mean, it's not like I had my heart set on Jango per se, I just didn't want Threepio, of all things. :D

Maybe I can trade this off for an Ig-88 or something. lol lol lol

Is the C-3PO bust the chrome version like the others? If it is, that might be kinda cool... you could call it TC-14 and then you wouldn't have to be so disappointed that it's C-3PO anymore! lol

I'd be pretty excited if I was getting a Chrome C-3PO Bust Caesar. BigHead5 is right -its more like a TC-14 bust then. The Chrome Jango Bust is over rated anyways. I'd love to get a Threepio bust.

The letter only refers to it as "the new C-3PO bust" and the pics look cool but they are black and white on regular paper so I can't tell from the photos.

If it turns out to be the regular gold version of C-3PO Caesar I can vouch for that being a quality bust. I recently purchased one and love it, much better than an armless Jango IMO. :D

Threepio never was one of my favorite characters. I wasn't planning on getting the bust, but when I saw it in person I had to buy it. The detail is incredible!

Hellboy and Reefer, you guys are right about it being a quality bust in that I can tell even by the black and white photos that it is well crafted. I just would prefer a different character. :)

If internet rumors are to be believed, then I think the "new" 3PO bust they are refering to is actually a AOTC repaint (used silver). They had it on display at SDCC (which looked outstanding in it's own right btw) and when I asked about exactly where he would be made available, I got the standard "we don't know yet" GG answer, but come on! why would they put out a repaint.

I have no need for another Threepio Mini Bust so I won't have any problems passing this variant up. The clean gold version looks much better anyway.
