I am new to the board and I'm trying to catalog my collection to sell. Does anyone know what the abbreviations "RB" and "SUB" mean in the description listings of the price guide...I looked in the Help section but saw no explanation of the abbreviations...thanks for your help

Next to each line (in the PG) is a link to its corresponding legend...

I've asked these kinds of questions before, but it keeps coming up. People on the boards continue to toss out abbreviations like "Ultimate BPs" as if everyone here is supposed to automatically know what the F they mean. By the way, what the F does BP mean?

After some digging and asking, I found out that UGH means Ultimate Galactic Hunt, but seriously, is it that difficult to type out Ultimate Galactic Hunt? Honestly, there are so many different "lines" and toys being talked about lately that it is difficult to keep track of what's out muchless all the slang that collectors coin to save time in front of the keyboard.

So PLEASE, knock off the abbreviations whenever possible and assume that most people here have no clue what the F a BP or UGH or whatever else means. Please?????????

I too had to get used to a lot of abbreviations, more so than most here because I have absolutely NO friends who collect Star Wars. None. Zero.

But they don't bother me. If you can't figure out that an "ARC 170 clone BP" refers to a battlepack(assuming you are aware there is such a piece of merchandise, let alone something known as a "battlepack"), then that's a you problem.

Having said that, I think there's a limit. Piling abbreviations on abbreviations is simply too much. They can get ridiculous. And some abbreviations are too obscure.

I think it's simple enough to ask what an abbreviation means. The problem, to be honest, is that a lot of Star Wars collectors are real condescending pricks about it--particularly at a certain other Star Wars forum. That to me can be the real problem--when people feel like they're going to be treated like they're idiots because they don't know what something stands for.

That bothers me tremendously.

IIRC (BTW... LOL), IMHO RB = running back, and SUB = Sonar Under Boat. TTFN! MTFBWY!
