Just curious as to the difference between General Discussion and Other forums?
Topics seem to be interchangable between the two. I would suggest combining them.

We have different forums for the OT, Episode 1, 2, and the two for Episode 3. How about a PT forum that would include both Episode 1 and 2 topics since they are not really as active as they used to be (and eventually include Episode 3 after the hype has gone away)?

Also how about a forum that would encompass the entire Star Wars saga? It seems like we have many topics that don't necessarily fit into any one of the forums, but end up in the OT forum.

Well, I see the 2 for EP3 will be combined in the near future, once the movie is about to come out. SO that will combine those since there would be no more spoilers.

Maybe after all is said and done, they will be combined into one forum.

Cool. As it stands, it looks like there is more love for the PT, while the OT only gets it's one little forum (although I know that is not the case).

But how about the difference between the "General Discussion" and "Other" forums?

Other is like the BS Topic forums. It doesnt count towards post count. Gen Disc is a topic that is going on that is of some importance, questions that are asked. Other is for basically nonsence(sp?, just woke up) like saying hey I am new or check out what I found on this site.

Yeah, "Other" threads aren't discussion topics, they're more like random nonsense and lists and bouka threads and stuff like that.

What's often overlooked is that General Discussion is also meant to be that "all encompassing SW saga category" . . . many times, people seem to see GD as 'non-SW' when that's not always the case.

Probably because it's under the Miscellaneous section and it's nowhere near the other movie forums.
