This show is fantastic, IMO it's the greatest Adult Swim original show they've ever had. Even the weakest of eps so far has been gut-bustingly funny. And naughty dirty too, they really push the 14 and up age limit, I was dying when Dr Girlfriend was getting instructions from The Monarch about seducing Dr Venture. And there are so many great parodies, mostly about Hanna Barbera '60s adventure cartoons, but last week's was a great satire of the Fantastic Four - my favorite part was when Venture accidentally opened the hermetically-sealed container letting in oxygen and the Human Torch burst into flame and started screaming. And then there's Brock Samson, who is unapologetic in his killing and loving, this guy is like if Race Bannon was a borderline psychopath, it's perfect! (Though as we just learned last week, Race Bannon's final words were "Tell Jonny I love- *urk*" :D)

So, is anybody else watching this show? It's on Saturdays at 11pm and reruns are Sundays' Adult Swim block at 12:30am after ATHF and Brak Show.

This show is fantastic, IMO it's the greatest Adult Swim original show they've ever had. I've seen it a few times. Not too impressed. I guess it's just not my thing.

Adult Swim has/had many shows that are far better, IMO:
Aqua Teen Hunger Force
Space Ghost: Coast to Coast
The Brak Show
Sealab 2021

I've seen it several times and it does have its moments, like Dr. Girlfriend. :D Like Rocketboy though, its not really my thing. I think its because it reminds me too much of Johnny Quest though. I never really liked Johnny Quest all that much.

I don't get that, it's skewering Jonny Quest, if you didn't like JQ then this should work because it is making fun of it.

I agree JT, it is a fun show. I watch it everytime it's on. That F4 parody was priceless. :)

I'm watching and it's quickly become my favorite new animated show! I should like to state, however, that I have always loved Johnny Quest, and that this is one of the main reasons why I enjoy Venture Bros. so much! Brock Samson is the new king of cool! My favorite episode is Dia De Los Dangerous, where Team Venture goes down to Tijuana. H.E.L.PeR.'s mod job is frikkin' sweet! I also bust into a giggle fit every time I hear "Mecha Shiva! Mecha Shiva!

JT, you and I have got to start pushing this show so Cartoon Network will go ahead and order some new episodes! It's too great to end so quickly.

If anyone could make me a Brock avatar, I'd much appreciate it!

Brock has a huge following on their message boards, I have no idea if the show has been renewed or not but it sucks going through endless reruns (though at least we got a new xmas ep that was freakin' sweet). Unfortunately, ever since Adult Swim put out "Tom Goes to the Mayor" and it BOMBED, they've only been making crap decisions so no idea what's happening there.

I have caught this show a couple of times. I can't say I'm a fan yet (I'm not tuning in every week,) but I have enjoyed the episodes I've seen. Some of it is so bizzare that I can't stop laughing. I think the last one I saw was the one where they had the Yard Sale, and all the villains came to buy stuff. . . quite silly. If you haven't seen the show yet. . . definitely give it a try.

I've seen this show a few times and think it's damn funny. Yes....damn funny.

The Necromancer is so over the top, I'd have to say he's my favorite character. "My daughter's maidenhead is not a prize to be won!"

The whole style of the show is great. The Ventures are pretty much a bunch of nerds so it's funny that Brock Samson has taken up with them. Kind of the total opposite of Jonny Quest. And doesn't that blond Venture Bro. look like Fred from the Scooby Doo show when they were all drawn as kids?

The episode I've enjoyed the most is the one where they go to that Japanese guy's funeral and it turns out all the characters were roomies at MIT/Harvard/whereever.

I can never remember when it's on so I've only seen a few shows. The one that was on Sunday night was something about the Monarch being on trial. Did that have a part 2? It seemed like it ended on kind of a cliffhanger.

It wasn't actually a two parter but it did have a follow-up - Return to Spider-Skull Island - which actually ended up airing before Trial of the Monarch. Among other things, it features the Monarch in prison (after the trial) where he actually participates in a "scared straight" type of program that the Venture boys find themselves in after having run away. The episode actually ends with Hank and Dean seemingly dead. Although there is a rumor that they are actually clones, which would explain why no one talks about their mother. Hopefully we'll get to that in season two. By the way JT, the show has actuallynot been renewed...yet.

Funny you should mention that episode. The first time I ever saw the show. . . it was that particular one. I was. . . "Wow, that was a pretty cool show. . . but I think I just saw the end of the series. . . they just killed the Venture Brothers!?!?!?!?!?" So confused. . .

I think the last one I saw was the one where they had the Yard Sale, and all the villains came to buy stuff. . . quite sillyHank's little misadventure with the lemonade stand was a bit out of character, but the A-plot stuff was so good I nearly cried laughing at some of it.

The Necromancer is so over the top, I'd have to say he's my favorite character. Dr Orpheus, the Dr Strange parody, yeah, his addition was surprisingly welcome, I especially loved it when he finally let loose with the good stuff in the last full ep puting those truckers' souls into the "Homies" figurine. :D

The episode I've enjoyed the most is the one where they go to that Japanese guy's funeral and it turns out all the characters were roomies at MIT/Harvard/whereever. Ah yes, as Hank puts it, "what school did you go to, super-crazy-no-way-c?!?" And they even used the Happy Days style of scene wipes for the flashbacks, great episode.

I can never remember when it's on so I've only seen a few shows. The pukey 11:30 Saturday night timeslot and another on Sunday that seems to float around between 11pm and 2am depending on how much crack the Adult Swim scheduling department has smoked that week.

By the way JT, the show has actually not been renewed...yet. Damn, that is really crappy news, there is something seriously WRONG with Adult Swim these days (I guess being part of the ineptitude that is Cartoon Network is bad enough).

So confused. . . The whole plot of that ep focusing on Hank & Dean, including that ending, is an homage to the movie Easy Rider and therefore I am not sure if it's really "canon" or just silliness for the point of being entertaining.
