Anyone overseas get their DVD yet? It's due on Monday the 20th!!!

Yes, plenty of them on the shelves here in the UK - and it's quite funny to see all the biggest high street retailers trying to undercut each other!

Despite the recommended price being £44.99:

HMV are offering a choice of silver- or exclusive gold-covered versions for £34.99;
Virgin are selling the box-set for £32.99 and including a free set of postcards;
Borders are also selling for £32.99 - or £26.99 if you buy £20 worth of other merchandise.

There have also been a few articles in the press on how well the DVDs are selling.

Nice... I DO like the exclusive box that is being offered. It looks nicely "high-end". :)

Got mine yesterday, the regular silver which I prefer to the gold version. I'm in Ireland by the way. I've watched all the extras except the commentaries, the computer game stuff and the gag reel. Empire of dreams has some interesting behind the scenes footage, there was a short glimpse of Biggs in his tatooine garb sitting with Luke, an alternative Cloud city Han/Leia romance scene and in one of the ROTJ trailers there was a glimpse of the sandstorm sequence.

Watched ANH yesterday and intend to watch Empire today.

oh and additional changes I noticed: a new sound effect when Obi-wan frightens off the Tuskens and just before the heroes emerge from hiding in the smugglers compartments two stormtroopers meet at the ramp and one now says 'theres no one here'.
