Do you think that there will be some preview figures for this movie and if yes do you think they'll be in the ROTS package or in another packaging? I think they'll be in the OTC or maybe in the SAGA packaging but they'll say Revenge of the Sith.

Preview figures have already been confirmed. They'll likely be released on the current OTC packaging, since that's what has been pretty much confirmed. And that's how the Episode II Preview figures were packaged. Even the four figures are pretty much confirmed, since the Swami from Galactic Hunter predicted him. And he's been about 90% correct with what's coming out since he started predicting. :)

By the way, here's the four figures that Galactic Hunter's Swami sees. He also sees a preview vehicle, and there's a post around here that indicated what it might be. But here's the four preview figures we'll probably see.

General Grevious
R2/Astromech Unit
Tion Meddon (Helpful Alien - Played by Bruce Spence)
Wookie Warrior

Remember last year we had:

Jango Fett, Zam Wessel, R3 Droid, and Clone Trooper.

And later we got another version of: Jango, Zam, and the Clone Trooper later.

So I am betting that we will probably see different versions of Grevious and Wookie Warrior as well as their preview figures. Just something to think about. :) I doubt they'll make another "version" of the R2 droid and the helpful alien.

2004 Preview Pablo Jill
2004 Preview Wookie Senator Yarua
2004 Preview Sly Moore
2004 Preview Padme Ceremony Dress
2004 Preview Naboo Rabe

Here are the 5 figs that were put on as the "2004 preview" figures and charged to my Kebco account on July 29th. So I dunno which is which or what is what...just thought I'd pass this info on.

Yeah, but I don't really think they're meant to actually be preview figures. They were only originally rumored to be that. But that's since changed. Kebco probably only has that information from Hasbro for their orders. :)

As has been said somewhere else, there will be some waves of figures before Episode III and after OTC. They are:
Naboo wave - Queen Amidala (Celebration), Rabé
Coruscant wave - Pablo-Jill, Yarua, Sly Moore
Cantina wave - Dannik Jerriko, Feltipern Trevagg, some other one I can't remember
ROTS preview wave - General Grievous, Astro Droid, Tion Meddon, Wookiee Warrior
All of these will be in OTC-style packaging. There will also be another wave of animated figures, with Grievous, Chapter 19 Anakin, ARC Trooper, and another one.

Since Hasbro's waves have generally consisted of 4 figures, that means there are some they haven't announced; two more for the Naboo wave, One for Courscant, and One for the Cantina.

I believe that Myo, the cyclops was the other announced Cantina figure.

Why would the ROTS fig be on the OTC cards?
Episode III isn't the original trilogy.

It will be the OTC cards, it just won't say 'Original Trilogy Collection'. Just look at the repackaged Yoda lightsaber in stores. That's similar to what you'll see. :)

Yeah, and same with the TRU Jedi Council sets and Naboo Battle 4-pack.

Oh, I almost forgot - there were several waves of figures this year that only had three figures, so it's possible that what we heard about is it.

Wookie Warrior

Woohoo! Another Wookie! First we're getting the perfect Chewie figure in the VOTC line, then the Wookie Senator from Ep1, now this guy who I hope is just the first in the endless parade of Wookies that we are in for. :)

So, if 2004 was "the year of Bossk" will 2005 be the "year of the Wookie?"

I am glad they are on the OTC package. Not to fond of the new ROTS packaging.

Okay now I know how will they be, I think its better in that style, cause Saga would be too old for that time.

If you're "in the know" I'll believe you about what figures will be released early, but I wouldn't have bet on Grievous. He seems too important to be a preview. Sort of like Darth Tyranus. We got Jango I guess... I'll be happy if Grievous is one, and even happier if there's a cool Wookie! Can't wait... I've been unimpressed with the figures over the past year, but my interest is once again peaked with the news I've been hearing. Happy hunting all...

Somebody -- in another forum, on another site -- suggested that the sneak preview Astromech droid might be R5-D4. Wouldn't that be sweet? Might explain why we've had to wait so long to get a resculpt of the little guy.

I'm thinking it'll be R4-G9. Obi-Wan's new Astromech that Hyperspace Members picked the color for.

I don't think R5-D4 will be appearing in EP3.

Um, tagmac? Those are not the Episode III Preview figures. Those are the Pre-Episode III figures, namely the Coruscant wave. Those figures are all TPM/AOTC figures. As was stated earlier, the Episode III Preview wave consists of General Grievous, General Tarfful, Tion Meddon, and (possibly) R4-G9. I'm sure Entertainment Earth appreciates you plugging their site, but Hasbro already posted these images.

My mistake. I misread the "pre-Ep. III," thinking it meant the preview figs...would have helped for me to have actually checked the names.
