Good choice. I'm a bit 'eh' about the use of "of the" again. But it certainly fits with the theme of the movie. And nice to see both Revenge and Sith make it into a title. :)

Revenge of the Sith was always and always will be the perfect title for Episode III. It correlates with Episode VI's Return of the Jedi so nicely.

OOOOOHHHHH MAN what an awesome title! !!!!!!!! wasnt too crazy about the phantom menace title(but got used to it). attack of the clones I found a bit better but revenge of the sith is without a doubt the best title of the 3(now lets hope it is the best movie ;) )

Man oh man, this title is awesome!!! It is much better than TPM or AOTC were when they announced them. I like how it is similar to "Return of the Jedi", and the Sith get their revenge in this one and continue to dominate the galaxy until the Jedi return. It seems on that page like Palpatine changes the Republic to the Empire before Anakin becomes Vader, maybe fairly early on? That'd be cool.

Now I REALLY can't wait . . .

I was always hoping this would be title. While not original, the best Star Wars titles ever. Let's hope it is the best movie ever. Personally, I have found that I like the Star Wars films based on how much I like the titles.

I like AOTC the lest among titles and the least among all the films.

I was at the "presentation" (Steve Sansweet) at comic con when they reveled it. I think it was neat the way they did it. I was also wondering why he was wearing that Sith Jersey... Untill they brought the picture back on him and he was wearing the Revenge of the Sith shirt.. Kinda neat. :D

Excellent choice by George! This is the one title that I think a lot of us figured would be used for one of the Prequels long before even Ep. I was in production. Correllates perfectly with Return of the Jedi, and really sets the tone that this movie could be even darker than ESB. Here's hoping GL can deliver big time with this one! May is just so far away.... :frus:

I like this title alot. I had always kinda sorta wanted "Rise of the Empire" but with "Revenge of the Sith" in the saga, it makes the "REturn of the Jedi" much more powerful and assertive. Nice choice!!! I can't wait!!!

Just got back from the Con and it was awesome. The Star Wars presentation with Sandsweet was well worth the time going for alone! Fisher, Hayden and Rick were there too! The DVD looks to be very nice, but no deleted scenes. Anyways The Title is perfect and it was a great moment in time when it was revealed! The 6,000 fans in the audience thought so too. The shirt went on sale right after the persentation and I had to get one!

I love the title! And I especially love the logo (on the T-Shirt), like AOTC logo was reminiscent of the ESB logo, this one is very (if not exactly) like the ROTJ one :crazed: :sur: :D

At first I was a little disappointed :dis: :dis: , because I thought that something like Rise of the Empire would have been better (certainly more mature) but then, as usual, I thought twice. This title is perfect for two reasons:

1) It's well linked to that horrible title that Attack of the clones was, because the Sith take their revenge on the attack of the clones;

2) Most importantly, it links perfectly to A new hope, because the revenge of the sith causes the rise of the empire (we could consider this a title for the twenty years between ep. III and IV ;) ;) ;) ), after which a new hope will be needed. It also has that very encouraging prefix RE-:D :D :D
Episode III, pardon "The Revenge of the Sith", is going to be a real first, I'm sure (save those seats at the Oscars :D :D :D :D ). Can't wait!!! :crazed: :crazed: :crazed:

This is weird but i KNEW that's what the tiltle was gonna be. I think I even poted it a few times. Somehow I knew it. I think the biggest clue was whent Revenge of the Jedi was changed to Return of the Jedi because revenge was something that a jedi wouldn't do. The Sith on the other hand would, as expressly stated by Darth Maul. This title is absolutely perfect. I couldn't have it any other way. I'm so damned exited about this movie now it's scary.

Well Bosskman, Lucas did hint a few weeks ago that many of us had figured out the title. And the top two being kicked around were Rise of the Empire and Revenge of the Sith. So it seems Uncle George and his fans were both firing on the same cylinders when it was time to come up with a title this time. :)

I know JJB, but I "figured it out" back before TPM came out. Way back when people were talking crap like "Balace of the Force" and "Fall of the Republic" in my mind I was thinking "Revenge of the Sith" would be THE perfect title for one of the prequel films. (At the time I didn't know how the plot of the prequels was going to unfold except that, at some point, Anakin would become Vader and Palpy would become the Emperor.) With the word "Revenge" taken out of ROTJ, I figured that fatbody would probably use it again for one of the prequels, and who better to have revenge than the Sith? "The Phantom Menace" and "Attack of the Clones" were titles that took me completey by surprise, not expected at all (although I love them both) but "Revenge of the Sith" is no surprise whatsoever. It was EXACTLY what I thought it should and wanted it to be.

Yeah no suprise here really! I'm happy. But, during this whole prequel making decade, I've never really been too worried or excited about the titles! This movie has alot riding on it's success, and that makes me excited and nervous all at once! I loved TPM!!! I enjoyed AotC but was a little disappointed in the stories' direction. Now RotS has alot to tell, alot of storylies to tie up and tie together, alot of story and storylines to tell in a short amount of time! This could be the greatest SW movie ever or just another scifi movie which of course would be more than a little disappointing!
