If anyone hasn't gotten the Mos Eisley Cantina set yet, you may want to check out your local Kohl's store. They are selling the set on clearance for only $12. ;)

Dont have a Kohl's here, plus I bought it already, but would buy another for the Dewback, stormie and other figs.

I'm wishing I had a Kohl's near me. The closest one is 2 states away!

I asked my Mom to look out for one for me since there are no Kohl's in Utah. She found one up in Palmdale, CA for $9 marked down from $17.98.

I didn't even no Kohl's had toys of any sort. Went down there and picked up the Cantina for $9. They also had the Snowspeeder, but it wasn't on clearance.

Thought I'd bump this one up to the top again.
I was out at ShopKo again in a different area and found the MEC on clearance for $10 something. I had one of their 10% off coupons and got it for about $9.30 out the door.
If you guys have SKs in your area, check them out tonight or tomorrow before the 25% sale ends. They're not too great on Hasbro SW stuff, but pretty good on Legos. If you don't have an ad (the big 2-week one), then just ask at the CS desk and they'll probably give you one and just rip out the coupon.

I didn't even no Kohl's had toys of any sort.I never knew they did either until 2002 when the AOTC toys were about to come out I got word that a Kohl's in my area had them out about 2 weeks early. Needless to say I ended up paying about $8 per figure but I thought it was worth it at the time just to have the rights to say that I had them before most anyone else.

Found another Mos Eisley Cantina set at ShopKo for $7 yesterday.
Also, check your Targets if they still stock AT-ATs. Mine put them on clearance (again) for 30% off.

Ok, what is shopko? I did get an AT-AT from my local Target Greatland for $69.95. When I finally found it I was worried it was still gonna be $100, but I scanned it and it was on clearence. :D Ive been working on it every now and then. So far it hasn't been hard to build, just time consuming. (one leg took me almost more than an hour...)

Went to my Target last week and saw 4 AT-At's on clearance. Went back the next day to snatch one and they were all gone

I saw 3 AT-ATs on this clearance price, but all the boxes were savaged and last week they weren't, so I guess the employees took back the normal boxes and put these out to get rid of them early, either that or they sold out of the clean boxes and got other stores' reject boxes.

Ok, what is shopko?
ShopKo is like a ghetto version of KMart. I know it's hard to imagine a store worse than KMart but it does exist.
Their prices are usually the highest at retail yet their selection blows major chunks. However, when they do put on a clearance it's almost as good as Target's. That's the only reason to shop there.
I got my MF for ~$60 due to a kick-A sale there, along with two MECs for under or around $10. I also understand they were selling the X-Wing set for under $20 at one time.

Finished the AT AT last night.. it looks really good and is worth the money. Only problem I had was that the head fell off when I picked it up.

That's the only problem that I've had with the AT-AT is the head falling off. Other then that I really love the set and the how well it's in scale with the little lego guys or girls.

Honestly I dont think it is that great of scale with the minifigs, but it is ok, just not great. The one thing I did find that goes well with it was the mini snowspeeder..

I'd say the AT-AT is about half-scale with the minifigs, though their scale is in question because their bodies are not in scale with human bodies. Still, the Millennium Falcon is only slightly better in scale, and the AT-TE seems to be even less than 1/2 scale even though it's supposed to be smaller than the AT-AT (I'm really not sure about how that one works).
I've never had the head of my AT-AT fall off, it's on there quite securely, so I am surprised to hear it's happening to you guys. Mine falls apart sometimes, but is very secure on the technic rod - perhaps you should reverse the rod or swap it out for another.

Mine has fallen off once, but it was when I was handling it and not just sitting there on the shelf. I just shoved it on the rod more securely and that seemed to take care of the problem.

I saw the AT-At at a Target the other day, for $50. Went back the next day, and it was gone. I contemplated buying it the day I saw it, but wanted to make sure I would have enough room on the shelf to display it with the first AT-At I bought at full price.
Wish I had seen the article earlier about the cantina set, I have been waiting for a long time to see it on clearance, I just can't justify paying $30 for a set that small.

Well Frett, it odes come wth a good amount of stuff(Mos Eisly). You have a Sandtrooper and a Dewback, Ben, Luke, and a Landspeeder. A mini Cantina w/ Greedo, Han. I thought it was worth it.

Dude, there's no way I would have paid full price for the MEC POC. :) It's just not enough for what you get. Sure the Dewback/Sandie combo is nice, but the landspeeder is ridiculously big and there's no spot to stick the droids without taking out the flip over nacelle stand in the back. I'll take the OG LS any day.
Plus the cantina is just waaaaay too dinky.
Keep your eyes peeled at Target during December. Every year they clearance their stuff right around XMas.
On another note, last Friday I got ahold of two Jabba's Palaces at KMart for $7 all together. They didn't ring up with a price, so the cashier gave them to me for the figure sale price that day ($3.26).

I ended up getting it on sale at K-Mart. If I see it for around $10 after Christmas, I'll pick up a second set so I can build a "Special Edition" with more than one Dewback.

I did manage to find an AT-At, at Target for $50, though when I checked the price under the scanner it came up $0.00. When I got up to ring it (thinking the cashier might not notice it was $0.00, the register buzzed), and she ran over to get the price from a hand held terminal, and notified me of the price. So I bought it anyway.

Not bad!
Over at fbtb.net they report that TRU may be selling any leftover AT-ATs for half off. That discount may be in effect as early as today. If you use the 20% toy card they sent out in the mail then it should be about $40.

With a price like that one would almost be forced to buy another. That would make a nice diorama.

I've read on bf2004.net that Kohl's will be selling all toys for 50% off. They have some SW Lego sets, like the Rebel Snowspeeder. It looks like we should be able to get them for $10 during the black friday sale.

Back on the AT-AT thing, I stopped by a TRU this afternoon and scanned one. They are ringing up at $50. If you want to save some time on Black Friday get one tonight before they close.
