View Full Version : Scene By Scene: Favorite Figures Never Made Before
JediTricks

JediTricks is not a completist to the best of my knowledge (but so what? - neither am I).Until Saga, I was. I'm no longer sure if it was the crappy gimmicks & statues of the line, or just Episode II itself (though I did shoot down half the figures before I even saw the film so probably not as much this) that broke me of the completist habit.
Queen Amidala Theed Palace with Throne (desk and hidden weapons in chair)
Gardulla the Hutt with R5 droid or alien guard (you specify what you'd want)
Nute Gunray softgoods with mechanical spider-walker chair and holo-Sidious (not poseable)
Funeral Pyre Qui-Gon Jinn with battlewound, simulated fire like Unleashed Mace
Padme Amidala Nightgown with bed, crash-through window on partial wall, kohouns
Padme Amidala in backless dress with Naboo water-skimmer canoe vehicle
Jango Fett out of armor with part of apartment wall with closet and window simulating looking out to Kamino landing platform and Slave-One (includes removed armor one-piece prop)
Rickshaw droid with carrier coach (and maybe softgoods Padme in blue Tatooine outfit with midriff revealed)
Supreme Chancellor Palpatine in red from "Emergency Powers speech" with Chancellor's speaker platform (could hold 3 figures) and camera droid
Obi-Wan Kenobi as Dooku's Prisoner with Jedi Capture Device
Large Flying Droid from Geonosion Droid Foundry that catches C-3PO when he falls (might include 3PO resculpt)
I voted for Jango w/ removable armor as a basic, so I'm not going to do so again. I sorta liked the sound of Palpi w/ chancellor's platform but it'd be as boring as Rieekan and twice as pointless since we already have a great AOTC Palpi; I thought about the Rickshaw droid set but ultimately didn't like the scene or the design enough to go that way; and I've been for Nute with chair/holoprojector for years but it feels too late now. Then there's Amidala w/ throne, who gets my vote due to being action-oriented, and my 2nd choice is Gardulla simply for the astromech droid (especially if he was R5-D4 ;)).
Oh, and I honestly don't think Obi-Wan w/ detention device is big enough to warrant an Ultra, could EASILY be a basic figure (and if it was, I probably would have voted for it, especially if it had battle-damage from the Dooku fight later in the film).
General Tagge with Death Star Conference Table (indicate if you feel we should substitute an updated Tarkin here)
Rebel Tactical Control Officer with Yavin Battle Display showing Death Star firing range
Darth Vader in the Executor's meditation chamber (complete improvement over "Complete Galaxy")
Torynn Far (female Hoth officer) with Ion Cannon Control Station (add to Rieeken's tactical screen to start making a complete Echo Base Command Center)
Ugnaught (new sculpt, or perhaps 2) with conveyor belt system, furnace, crates of junk, and a box full of C-3PO parts. (add Chewie and IG-88 to recreate classic scene and save C-3PO)
Han Solo Bespin Torture Chair (anguished Han Solo gets electrocuted!)
Luke Skywalker Rebel Medical Frigate Recovery Room (surgery bed with Luke in hospital gown, and changeable arms has one reveal inner bionics of artificial hand) Add FX-7, 21-B, and Bacta Tank to make full medical center
Jabba's Dungeon Droid Torture (the 21-B model being torn apart between two larger pieces of equipment. Includes equipment. Add EV-9D9 and 8D8 with their control stand and Gonk-Droid-Torture-Device, and then it'll only take a few Gamorreans
Worrt - the large creature outside Jabba's Palace that eats something that just ate something else. A burb accompanies the scene right before Leia as Boussh frees Han from the carbonite
Han Solo in carbonite (speaking of) this new Han has bending elbows and wrists that turn, maybe even interchangeable hands, so you can fit him inside the carbonite block perfectly. The back closes over the figure, so Han is completely seeled in. An alternate cover (front) is included, that lets you see your Han figure inside, so you can display him with Boussh as he's "thawing" from his icy coffin
Emperor Palpatine on his Death Star Throne - set includes observation tower window and throne chair, plus steps and railing and Dark Side Lightning. Palpatine is super-articulated and has softgoods allowing him to sit down or be carried by Darth Vader Emperor's wrath, who can be hit by Palpatine's lightning due to the Emperor's good wrist articulation and alternate lightning accessories, that let His Highness shoot bolts behind him
Darth Vader Funeral Pyre - Darth Vader figure has detachable right hand and lightsaber, possibly even removeable helmet or the 1998 figure's quality update, comes with large stack of logs and simulated fire like Mace Windu Unleashed's) That Vader w/ Executor chamber would be far too big for even an Ultra card I think, plus it'd need the holo-platform too and now we're halfway to a full-blown playset.
I think Han Bespin torture table could be accomplished as a basic, just Han and the rack, so I won't vote for it as a Dlx/Ultra, same with Luke in med garb.
The figures that really sounded cool were Palpi on the throne (because the Saga figure got screwed up, plus they can recycle the throne w/ the Jedi Duel 3pack to save $$$) who'll be my 2nd choice; and a new Han Carbonite who gets my vote so long as he has some sort of Jabba's Palace set decor or something.
DARTH VADER BESPIN BLAST DEFLECT WITH LUNCH TABLE AND CHAIRS That figure was designed and supposed to go with the Luke Bespin w/ CD from way back in the day, but got canned. I don't think a table & chairs makes a very exciting Dlx/Ultra (especially when most figures can't sit down anyway, similar complaint made for Tagge) so unless you can get a Han figure to have his gun pulled through the air across the table, no thanks.
Old Rebel Fleet Trooper
Imperial Officer (officer's tunic, as the 3 figures we have wear a jumpsuit)
the white platform droid with the multiple arms sticking up from it (Jawa scenes)
the black rolling half dome droid (a mining droid - Jawa auction)
Uncle Owen (resculpted and carded)
Luke Skywalker Tatooine in poncho
Biggs Darklighter Academy Uniform (lost scenes)
a moisture farmer (background human male with hat and typical Tatooine garb)
CZ-9 - white protocal droid seen in the sandcrawler and wobbling around Mos Eisley
the Bantha droid - large blue rolling droid, seen while Sandtroopers knock on doors
Wioslea - large cloaked alien who buys Luke's landspeeder before they leave Tatooine
Imp Officer seems tempting where Owen seems "been there, done that", but I'm going with Uncle Owen (*see next paragraph) anyway because the first one sucks pretty bad. And normally, I'd vote for Luke w/ poncho & gun & binocs, but after seeing a dozen or more Tatooine Lukes and they're ALL done pretty wrong, I've sorta given up hope.
*UPDATE: I'm changing my vote to R5-D4 (or how about basic R5-D4 with CZ-9 even? ;)) that was written-in by Marvin.
Hasbro really should do all the "crazy" droids from the early scenes of ANH as one boxed set, similar to Galoob's old minifigure boxed set.
I'm surprised so many people are voting for Wioslea. I don't know he alway kinda freaked me out and IMO a figure of him would look kinda silly.I agree with you there, I long for the ignorance of my youth, before the SEs when I had never noticed this thing at all. Looks like a rotting Mr Potato-Head (the classic, not modern Mr.PH) to me.
the Gotal (Feltripern Trevagg)
the Arcona (Hem Dazon)
the Givin (Elris Helrot)
the Advoze (Bom Vimdim)
the Abyssan (Myo)
the Anzati vampire (Dannik Jerriko)
Brea or Senni Tonnika (this is not a 2-pack. assume you get one) do you want it?)
Zvvvst (Brzzzt - "the Fly")
Kitik Keed Kak (mass released so everyone can get her)
the Lamproid (Dice Ebegon)
the Saurin (Fal Chas)
Brainiac (who's brain you can see) If it weren't for the SW Chronicles, I wouldn't know who half of these are.
By a LAAARRRRRRRGGGGE margin, my vote goes to either Tonnika sister whom I will buy 2 of and claim are both characters. My second choice goes to Hem Dazon.
I don't think I'd bother with the Fly or the Saurin or Brainiac, and I don't even see how Dice Ebegon could be a figure unless you had a puppeteer laying on his back as the bulk of the action figure. Dice doesn't make a lot of sense IMO, looks like a bloody sock puppet, not a character.
Oh, and Monkey's right, we don't have a decent Dr Evazan figure and could probably use a better Ponda Baba as well.

Most people are all caught up now.
Let's finish the last of the possible figures from A New Hope.
Vote for your favorite character to be made a figure from:
General Tagge
Colonel Wulf Yularen
Han Solo Stormtrooper Disguise - carded
R3 Droid - green details
Red Leader - Garven Dreis (completely resculpted, removeable helmet)
R2 droid - green horizontal stripes
R5 droid -red and black stripes
Rebel Flight Deck Crewman - Yavin Base
Han Solo Yavin Ceremony
I'd like all the astromechs. The darn JediCon came out with the exclusive red R3 droid. You can add that in as a write-in if it's your favorite color scheme for another astromech.
I could really care less about the Imperial Officers in this batch. I don't personally want to recreate the conference table scene, and since Tagge and Yularen don't wear hats, they're very scene-specific Imperials not too useful for other dioramas.
The Hans? Nah. Put a medal on any of the too-many-already-released. And most of us have the stormtrooper version, though it's offered here for newbies and carded collectors who might want this.
Red Leader begs for an appology. So for a wave with few exciting options, I'll go Garven Dreis here.

OK. Time to catch up! I'm only a few pages behind.
From the prequel ultras -- I like many of the choices, but the one I want the most is...
Supreme Chancellor Palpatine with Chancellor's speaker platform - After we get Sly Moore, we should get this.
Now, "Classic Star Wars" Ultra figures. Here's the ones I want the most...
General Tagge with Death Star Conference Table (w/ an updated Tarkin?) - I've wanted this for a long time. I'm not seriously in need of an updated Tarkin, but it'd be nice to have one that can sit. (This all sounds more like a good playset idea though.)
Darth Vader in meditation chamber - Yes. We'd need a great articulated figure with a removable helmet as well. (Is the VOTC fig gonna have a removable helmet? If not, why?)
Emperor Palpatine on his Death Star Throne - This idea gets my vote here. Figure and throne alone would be great.
Next bunch. Here's what I'd want the most...
Imperial Officer (officer's tunic) - Any uniform version would be welcomed.
Death Star Trooper - Oh yeah... we need a new one!
the white platform droid, the black rolling half dome droid - It is hard to not want these (and any other relevant droids) as a set. But single carded would be great also. A new R5-D4 is a must.
Wioslea - A great and weird choice. Carded alone would be best.
Uncle Owen - It's time for a very nice updated version.
CZ-9 - I was gonna vote for Owen, but this is really what I want the most.
From the cantina aliens...
the Gotal (Feltripern Trevagg), the Arcona (Hem Dazon), the Givin (Elis Helrot), the Advoze (Bom Vimdim), the Abyssan (Myo), the Anzati vampire (Dannik Jerriko), Brea or Senni Tonnika, Zvvvst (Brzzzt - "the Fly"), Kitik Keed'Kak, the Lamproid (Dice Ebegon), the Saurin (Fal Chas), Brainiac - Some of these I want more than others, but I do want them all. Probably Kitik Keed'Kak, Hem Dazon and the Tonnika sisters are the ones I want the most. Kitik we'll be getting (maybe?) The sisters I can't see as anything other than a two pack. So... I'm voting Hem Dazon.
Be nice to have more 12" figures from this list also.
Next bunch from ANH...
All of the astromech droids can and probably will be made at some point. I'd be happy with any of them.
Red Leader, Garven Dreis - I agree, we need a decent version of this one, but I doubt it'll happen for a while.
General Tagge - Here's my vote. Can't have enough generals I suppose. I don't think the "conference table" ultra thing will ever happen (though it should) and I'd rather have him as a single carded figure anyway.
Han Solo Stormtrooper Disguise - carded
Han Solo Yavin Ceremony
- Both of these are really unnecessary.
Red Leader - Garven Dreis (completely resculpted, removeable helmet)
- I honestly do not want this figure. I could not choose another x-wing pilot over some of these figures. We have allot of pilots allready, and only 3 of them Jek, Luke, and Dutch really stand out. Wedge (3 pack) and Biggs are pretty good, and the rest are not impressive at all. All they really need to do is release a Dutch body with different heads and helmets, and truthfully that does not excite me one bit. Give me other figs.
R3 Droid - green details
R2 droid - green horizontal stripes
R5 droid -red and black stripes
- I want to see all of these made!
General Tagge
- Although Tagge is one of my desires I really can't pick him over an intirely new figure. Hasbro would just modify one of the figures we have now and stick Tagge's head on the figure so give me another fig.
Colonel Wulf Yularen
Rebel Flight Deck Crewman - Yavin Base
- It simply comes down to these two. The Rebel flight Crewman I am going to bow too because we have all these X-Wings, pilots and droids, yet no crewman to work on them. Thus this figure is the logical choice. I wish Hasbro would commit to going through with their accessory pack!

Well, once again I would like to see all of these figures. However, I'm gonna have to with a write-in here. As much as I would love more pilots, I'm going to go with Luke Skywalker Stormtrooper - if he counts. If Han was a choice, I think Luke should be too. Since the Stormtroopers have been updated, these disgusie figures just don't fit in with them anymore with thier bulky bodies and poorly detailed helmets.
If Luke doesn't count I'll go with Garven Dreis

Well I'm going to go with Tagge. I really want a figure of him. I would be excited to buy any of these except Han Yavin ceremony. I have enough medals that I can take one of the many resculpts and slap it on him.

I would like a Han Cerimonial. WE got Luke, Leia, Dodonna and Han is all that is left to get from that scene.

I'll vote for General Tagge. Two reasons, first I'm unsure who Colonel Yularen is and what he did (is he the dude who warns Tarkin to evacuate?). And second Tagge would go good with Motti.
Tycho

Jedi Marvin: I counted your vote for write-in Luke Stormtrooper.
LuciferSam: Colonel Yalaren was the Imperial wearing a white uniform at the conference table scene. Similar to Grand Admiral Thrawn's uniform - the figure should be exactly the same because Thrawn should have had gold shoulder pads, Yalaren had white hair and a white mustache. He sat there and spoke no lines as Motti, Tagge, Vader, and Tarkin went through their lines in the scene (Vader choking Motti, etc.)
West End or Decipher wrote Wulf Yalaren's backstory and did not make him a Grand Admiral but rather an operative from Imperial Intelligence. He might have "been in disguise" as a Grand Admiral though, because later in the expanded universe, we learned that Imperial Intelligence officers wore red uniforms like Ysanne Isaard's. She was the director however, so perhaps Yalaren was a lower rank - though I doubt it. The Death Star was a pretty prestigious and top-secret post. Until it destroyed Alderaan, the Death Star was actually supposed to be a secret to the general public. Just the Rebels knew about it from their own intell ops.

R2-X2, who I think is what you've chosen for the R2 with the green stripes. This is the droid that can be seen during the pilot briefing exchanging a look w/ R2-D2. You can also see him being loaded onto one of the X-Wings as they are veing prepped for battle. He's been on my wish list since the beginning, so he wins my vote.

B'Omarr, thank you. It is R2-X2 I was thinking of. I went over to Red6 and confirmed it. There are a lot of good astromechs to be done over there, and if the droid appeared in ANH it can be a write in in our thread here. (Later on we'll take ESB and ROTJ write-ins). However, I tried to pick out the ones that were the most different, as well as highly visible in the films, that Hasbro has yet to produce. Personally, I want R2-X2, but I'll still take the effort put forward by them to appologize for Hasbro Direct's "Red Leader."
So continue voting and let's finish the last of the possible figures from A New Hope.

Well this is a pretty easy vote for me because I've wanted Colonel Wulf Yularen for quite some time. I've got a soft spot for the Imperials but I think his unique uniform makes him even more appealing and a definate standout. I highly doubt we'll ever see a figure of him made though. :(

Cool. Like 90% of the votes are in for A New Hope.
Let's start Empire Strikes Back.
There will be two groups of figures, for those who might write-in. I've divided the possibilities for this movie into 2 groups: Everything but Bespin, and Bespin.
We'll start in chronological order and start with Hoth and going through the film, skipping Cloud City until the next poll of course.
Pick the character you want a figure of the most from:
Torynn Farr
Major Derlin
Hoth Deck Officer (vintage figure re-do)
General Veers (it's rumored but we haven't seen it in plastic yet)
Captain Lennox (commanded Star Destroyer hit by ion cannon)
R4 droid (white body, black head)
Luke Skywalker Dagobah (tree cave - Bespin jacket hanging open over muscle shirt)
Captain Needa
Princess Leia Recovery Room (Rebel Medical Frigate)
Lando Calrissian Smuggler Gear (wearing Han's clothes)
Luke Skywalker Recovery Room - with bionic hand repairs
I actually would want and buy all of these, but Lando Smuggler's Gear needs to be done and would be useful for SOTE scene completions in addition to this never-made-before-movie-edition of Calrissian. With all the other characters' multiple wardrobe changes, let's not short-change Lando. I'll gambe Hasbro could make this one nice figure.

Torynn Farr (http://www.starwars.com/databank/character/torynfarr/) - Sure we need this, with more Echo Base parts also. (Hmm, would it have to be a deluxe figure?)
Major Derlin (http://www.starwars.com/databank/character/majorbrenderlin/) - This one I'm not really wild for. I'd take it, but maybe it'd be better in an Echo Base set (with droid, new soldier, etc.)
Hoth Deck Officer - Are we talking about a re-do of the Rebel Commander (http://systems.figures.com/database/index.html?page=detail&sdomid=5&sitemid=16853) figure? Either way, I'm for it.
General Veers (http://www.starwars.com/databank/character/generalmaximilianveers/) - Probably the coolest looking idea on the list. Would/should he have removable armor over his uniform, or is it molded on?
Captain Lennox (http://www.starwars.jp/character/image/captain_lennox.jpg) - Not a big deal for me, but I'll buy him.
R4 droid - Are we talking about this one? (http://www.starwars.jp/droid/image/r5_m2.jpg) If so, then he's R5-M2 and I'd like him very much.
Luke Skywalker Dagobah (tree cave) - I'm not sure that we'd get another Dagobah Luke for a while.
Captain Needa (http://www.starwars.com/databank/character/captainlorthneeda/) - Well, obviously we need all of the force strangled officer figures.
Princess Leia Recovery Room - Not a big deal to me.
Lando Calrissian Smuggler Gear - Yep, this one is good idea and another one that we should have had a while ago. With the new-ish Falcon coming out, it'd be an appropriate figure to do.
Luke Skywalker Recovery Room - I'd like this one, but it's not terribly important to me.
This is a tough one! Most of these I'd like to have, but I'll have to vote for General Veers. Maybe they'd reissue the AT-AT as well at some point, but for a lot less money this time ($60 perhaps.)

I'm really torn here. I would say Major Derlin but since I don't think it would turn out looking like John Ratzenberger it would be too dissappointing. So I think I will go with Torynn Farr with strong desire for
Hoth Deck Officer
General Veers
R4 droid R5-M2
Captain Needa
Lando Calrissian Smuggler Gear
Luke Skywalker Recovery Room - with bionic hand repairs

This is the toughest list yet...until we get to Endor of course. General Veers has been #2 on my want list since day 1, but I have high hopes that he will turn up later in the year as the rumors seem to suggest. (So help me if they rerelease him in his POTF2 mold....if they do I will personally track down that mold and destroy it) Anyway, my second choice would be a Rebel Commander, since we have Reeiken and the Trooper but nobody in between. I'd like to see both the deck officer and Derlin, but I'll give this vote to Major Derlin

Can I write in for Hobbie with his leather helmet liner ("Two fighters against a star destroyer?")? If not I vote for Torryn Farr, though there are others on this list I want as much.
General Veers (it's rumored but we haven't seen it in plastic yet)
Captain Lennox (commanded Star Destroyer hit by ion cannon)
Captain Needa
- More Imperials officers with different heads: No thanks. If they made each figure from scratch then I would be overjoyed. Unfortunately I know Hasbro's natural tactics of figure construction.
Torynn Farr
Major Derlin
Hoth Deck Officer (vintage figure re-do)
- I want all of these but there is one figure that I know I've wanted since 95, and I must vote for it.
R4 droid (white body, black head)
- Any droid must be bought.
Luke Skywalker Dagobah (tree cave - Bespin jacket hanging open over muscle shirt)
- This is actually a very cool idea, and if they ever announced this figure I would be very excited about. This figure idea was a very good runner up to my main pick.
Princess Leia Recovery Room (Rebel Medical Frigate)
Luke Skywalker Recovery Room - with bionic hand repairs
- I want to see these both, but the truth is Lando is something I've been dreaming of for years. They made every type of Luke, Han, Leia, even Chewie figure, why haven't they addressed this figure at all?
Lando Calrissian Smuggler Gear (wearing Han's clothes)
- This figure is a no contest. IT IS THE WINNER HANDS DOWN!

I agree that this figure is overdue. Sure the recent resculpts are all nice, but they should have made this one first. I think the ugly fact is that Lando doesn't sell as fast as the other principal characters--even in areas with large black populations. I'm sure this has some weight on Hasbro's decision, though, ten again as I said, they just gave us three Lando resculpts.

Interesting question I hope we can discuss without offending anyone: do black action figures (or any non-white ethnicity) sell less than white ones because people are prejudiced? (I mean would there be any other reason?)
BTW, before I comment more on this, a vote for Hobbie was accepted, and Janson and Zev Senesca should also be considered. I can't believe a guy with Tycho as his screen name forgot about Rogue Squadron
R5-M2 is the astromech I'm thinking of. Thanks for the picture PlasticFetish.
The Rebel Commander figure from Kenner's days has been done 3-4 times over if we go by uniform: w.Goatee ('97), without goatee deluxe ('98), January Saga midget ('04). This is a trench grunt guy - officer or infantryman.
The guy I'm thinking about hasn't really been done right: it's Kenner's Hoth Rebel Soldier (javascript: popwin('index.html?page=pic&sdomid=5&spicid=5144&pic_width=550&pic_height=709','image','709','550','win_ie','resi zable, scrollbars, status');). Note the picture on the card is not the character carded. It's actually likely a paint mistake that Kenner made back in the day, but there were other Hoth soldiers that wore the vest like Luke did. That's what I'm going for. Hasbro did one with the accessory set, but he was kit-bashed and sported a Goatee. We need a fresh sculpt with gun that comes out of a holster, and no facial hair so we can use him without the appearance of clones.
Anyway, General Veers in my vision is wearing his Imperial Officer uniform with his hat on (it might be removeable like the Bespin Guard's, but doesn't need to be). A snap-on Hoth battle armor chest plate can be attached, as can a blaster, and his battle helmet (AT-ST Driver style) is big enough it will fit right over the officer's cap (if the cap itself is non-removeable). I really want Veers done this way. There is a strong rumor that he's coming out at the end of this year - but we don't know if it's just a recarded "AT-AT commander" but we can hope not!
Back to black action figures...
1) SW fans are kids from all backgrounds. They like to see action figures that look like them so they can pretend they are in the action.
2) statistically, a larger proportion of white families have more money to spend on toys, large collections like these, and having the time and transportation to track down every character. I don't want to offend anyone, it is just a guesstimation based on observation of places I've lived, inner-city bus use by ethnicity (versus private auto to run to every store across your town at 8am, etc.)
3) it is a shame that income equality across racial boundaries doesn't exist yet (and I'm half-expecting a black member of the middle or upper class here to start drilling into me for my comments - but they should venture out of Beverly Hills to Chicago, Philadelphia, etc) but Bill Cosby just took a lot of crap for highlighting this in front of wealthy black audiences - and he's black! This issue extends well beyond blacks only. There are obviously a lot of ethnic variations we need to look at.
4) Recent video games present an alternative to Star Wars: black characters with corn-row hair that car jack, cop-kill, and generally gang-bang or operate as hitmen, etc. and that looks a lot more like the neighborhoods youngsters of color live in (unfortunately) than cities in the clouds where a black man is the planetary administrator (though we know in his particular case, he got there because he was a con man and a gambler). However, Star Wars has added several other very noteworthy black heroes: Mace Windu and Captain Panaka being the most prominent.
5) black action figures do and do not have a poor history of selling with Star Wars:
Mace Windu: all figures sold including the ridiculous version with the knob in his back. The only one that struggled was the one with his eyes closed and his mouth open. I'm convinced Sam Jackson started the problem when he decided to play while being real-scanned. It is an impressive display of what the RS tech can do, but they could have included alternate heads so you could make Mace however you wanted him.
Captain Panaka - sold
Naboo Royal Guard - sort of a half-black, half Mexican ethnicity - sold
KENNER Black Bespin Security - sold well if I recall
Captain Typho Pilot figure - sold
Lando - all versions sold, POTJ was one of the best figures.
Adi Gallia - a glut of them did move and she didn't linger to really clearance
Lando 12" - this figure did not look like Billy, so if it lingered, that might've been why
Lando Skiff 12" - Sold - rather quickly too
My polls will be offering more black action figures:
we offered Naboo Royal Security, and a white version of the NRG
a black version of the blue Republic Senate Guard - who's a character in the comics
we will be offering the remake for the Bespin Guard
an X-wing pilot from ROTJ attack on the Executor "she's going to blow!"
an Endor soldier - seen on screen in Han's commando unit
(there just weren't any black men seen in ANH, or in the Rebel unit on Hoth)
If kids can buy these, black youngsters can make up the character to be anything they want: another Corran Horn pilot type that becomes a Jedi, or a drive-by shooter that kills Rodians - whatever they imagine.
Diorama builders can get the most diverse variety for non-clone appearances of human armies (Bespin, Endor, Naboo, etc).
Kenner completists can get the darn Bespin Guard already!
Black basic figures have not really shown a tendancy to linger. And as much as we liked getting Dodonna after all these years, what can be said about "old white men" - or Han Solo for that matter. (What is wrong with Han figures anyway? - Endor Bunker specifically)
Well, keep voting and your comments are welcome.
Pick the character you want a figure of the most from:
Torynn Farr
Major Derlin
Hoth Deck Officer (vintage figure re-do)
General Veers (it's rumored but we haven't seen it in plastic yet)
Captain Lennox (commanded Star Destroyer hit by ion cannon)
R4 droid (white body, black head)
Luke Skywalker Dagobah (tree cave - Bespin jacket hanging open over muscle shirt)
Captain Needa
Princess Leia Recovery Room (Rebel Medical Frigate)
Lando Calrissian Smuggler Gear (wearing Han's clothes)
Luke Skywalker Recovery Room - with bionic hand repairs

I'll vote for General Veers as long as he is a completely new mold and has no parts in common with the POTF2 AT-AT Commander.
His features should be removable helmet, chestplate and officer's cap (similar to the POTJ Bespin Guard but hopefully not as silly looking with the cap on his head).
A great compliment to this guy would be a new AT-AT Driver, now that they finally got the helmet right with the recent TIE Pilot.
Since I'm several votes behind, I'll try to catch up eventually, but for now I'll chime in for Col. Wulf Yularen from the previous list.
I was tempted to say Han Stormtrooper; but Hasbro has had three chances so far to get this figure right and they've failed every time. I really no longer care if we ever get to see a decent Han Stormtrooper.

Just catching myself up:
For the OT lists so far, I vote:
Ultra figure: Han Carbonite - I've been hoping for an update of this figure for years
ANH part 1: Wioslea - the epitome of the creepy alien designs from ANH
ANH part 2: Myo the Abyssan - easily one of my favorites from the Cantina

I'll go with General Veers this round. Ideally I'd like to see him resculpted with a removable helmet and chest plate. Rereleasing the AT-AT would be cool too, I missed it the fist time around and would love to have one or two in my collection.

Catching up a bit.
General Tagge - we need this figure, if only for his haircut. ;)
Lando Smuggler's Outfit - badly needed. They could then use the body with the tucked-in collar for a ceremony Han, since their costumes are the same.

Hey Tycho, just a comment on your post about ethnicly diverse action figures. (too tired to quote - sorry) I agree totally with you. I think Star Wars does offer a pretty diverse population. (A New Hope aside) especially in contrast to a lot of video games and movies that cast minorities in sterotypacle roles and appearences. We have heroes from all backgrounds...and pretty darn cool ones too.
I think Hasbro has always done a pretty good job of keeping thier toy lines just as diverse. With G.I.Joe for instance one new Black character was introduced every year along with redoes of favorites. They also had several female characters, Asians, Native Americans and one or two Hispanics. Star Wars has done pretty well too with all the figures that you mentioned. As much as Hasbro frustrates me, I think they have done pretty well offering diverse ethnicities in thier figures, at least comparable to other toy lines.
I however, would still like to see more. We have a perfect Bespin Guard and X-Wing Pilot sculpt, so it wouldn't take too much for Hasbro to sculpt a new head and stick it on. I would prefer that much more then a rerelease of a crappy POTF2 sculpt like Bib or the Imperial Scanning Trooper.
Anyway, not sure if you wanted this discussed here Tycho, but I couldn't help it. Hope this doesn't distract from ana wesome topic.

General Tagge
Colonel Wulf Yularen
Han Solo Stormtrooper Disguise - carded
R3 Droid - green details
Red Leader - Garven Dreis (completely resculpted, removeable helmet)
R2 droid - green horizontal stripes
R5 droid -red and black stripes
Rebel Flight Deck Crewman - Yavin Base
Han Solo Yavin CeremonyHonestly, I don't have a strong feeling on any of these, I just don't care about the background Imps that much anymore, Han Stormtrooper is destined to be a failure because Hasbro will use the crummy version in the WM Scene Pack, the droids are always good but I have no desire for any 1 over the others. I almost went with Red Leader but didn't because the line could risk choking on orange-suited pilot figures. Therefore, because I hope he'll come with an X-wing ladder and it helps that Jaff's argument was pretty strong, I'll vote for the Reb Flight Deck Crewman with ladder.
Torynn Farr
Major Derlin
Hoth Deck Officer (vintage figure re-do)
General Veers (it's rumored but we haven't seen it in plastic yet)
Captain Lennox (commanded Star Destroyer hit by ion cannon)
R4 droid (white body, black head)
Luke Skywalker Dagobah (tree cave - Bespin jacket hanging open over muscle shirt)
Captain Needa
Princess Leia Recovery Room (Rebel Medical Frigate)
Lando Calrissian Smuggler Gear (wearing Han's clothes)
Luke Skywalker Recovery Room - with bionic hand repairs Hmm, now this is an interesting set of options, I'm not sure I can live with just 1 from these. I'd like to see Torynn Farr, Derlin (who I would accept as a generic Deck Officer anyway), Veers, Luke Dagobah, Needa w/ choked & dying pose potential, and Luke recovery room with alternate open mechanical hand, but it's Luke Recovery I'm going to vote for here because it'd be the coolest.
I don't get the fascination with Lando in "smuggler gear", it's a shirt and vest from another guy barely in the film and with no importance to the scene or the film whatsoever, just paint POTJ Lando's shirt white and slip the CTC Han's vest over him and call it a day. I simply don't see the justification for this figure over Luke Recovery Room or AT-AT Veers or a few others like that.
Tycho, you can't link to a pop-up that way, you just captured the JS code to pop-up the window, it won't work except on the page of origin. You'd have to open that pop-up from its original location and then copy that page's URL from its Page Info or Properties or something, it's the only way.

Thanks for the info on the pop-ups, JediTricks. I tried linking, but we're moving on and I'm basically in charge of doing the emcee work around here, and PlasticFetish has done an awesome job with providing a lot of the images. If on the other hand, anyone really cares about the Kenner Hoth Rebel Soldier (and it doesn't look like it from the votes which are going to Lando, Luke, Torryn Farr, and General Veers) they can look up the vintage Hoth Rebel Soldier (not Commander) on SirSteve's image archive pages from ESB figures 1980-1983.
JediMarvin, this thread and forums EXIST for discussion, so your comments were right-on, and very appropriate for this conversation. Everyone continue contributing! :)
Speaking of discussion, we're going to have a lot to talk about when it comes to the future of this hobby and the continuation of this toy line. I see a lot of people posting "nothing on this list particularly interests me here" and so forth, and since we're finalizing a complete list of all the remaining choices, it looks as though many of you would prefer the hobby to eventually die (as I can't imagine you are living for the "ultimate resculpt, R5D4 aside."
Well, let's see what interests you from the Cloud City wave that will finalize all our choices from The Empire Strikes Back.
Vote for the character you want an action figure made of the most:
U-3PO (a silver protocal droid, they could re-card TC-14)
black Bespin Security Guard
Utriss M'Toc - alien Bespin Security Guard
Wiorkettle - a Snivvian
Treva Horme - a tall Cloud City alien civilian
The Ice Cream Maker Guy
new Ugnaught
black Cloud Car Pilot
Bespin Security Guard with a mustache - in case you think the Vintage isn't redone yet
Darth Vader Bespin blast deflection - the not-released CD ROM figure
Cloud City civilian - woman Bespin Escape (seen in evacuation scenes)
I think I'd have to vote for Treva Horme as the most unique figure offered on the list here.
The black Bespin Guard really needs to be done to help complete all the vintage figures. I like the idea of the alien guardsman too - since it really encompasses the "all ethnicities represented approach."
The woman or the Ice Cream Maker Guy would be great universally utilizable figures for many dioramas - and actually the woman would be better than Ice Cream Maker Guy.
U-3PO and Darth Vader are just unncessary and don't distinguish themselves from TC-14 or any other Vader really.
Wiorkettle would be fun, as would a new Ugnaught, but like the Ugnaught, we have 2 Snivvians already. Maybe after Utriss M'Toc and Treva Horme, the woman, and the Ice Cream Guy.
This list really caters to diorama builders and those who appreciate more ethnic variants. Write-in anybody else that appears on Cloud City if you don't see your Bespin figure of choice here.
(Han Carb and Han Torture have been covered and strongly supported as Ultra figures, so they need not apply here. Solo's got that covered ;) )

U-3PO - I think "E-3PO (http://www.starwars.jp/droid/image/e_3po.jpg)" is the Bespin droid and "U-3PO (http://www.starwars.jp/droid/image/u_3po.jpg)" is the one from the Tantive IV (I may be wrong.) Not that it matters though, they're all the same and considering how many different times they've been on screen, it'd be nice to have another shot at getting a silver protocol droid. (Not like we had much of a chance with TC-14... grumble, grumble, grumble.)
black Bespin Security Guard (http://www.starwars.jp/character/image/sergeant_edian.jpg) - I feel stupid only having one guard, so... yeah, this one's needed.
Utris M'Toc (http://www.starwars.jp/character/image/utris_mtoc.jpg) - Yep. Alien+guard=good. This is a weird looking sort of Trek-ish character -- I could see him and a few guards coming as a set.
Wiorkettle (http://www.starwars.jp/character/image/wiorkettle.jpg) - Old head on a new body... and why not?
Treva Horme (http://www.starwars.jp/character/image/treva_horme.jpg) - Here again is a cool looking alien background character.
The Ice Cream Maker Guy (http://www.starwars.jp/character/image/willrow_hood.jpg) - At some point they're gonna need to make this one. Maybe it'll end up as the very last Star Wars figure produced.
new Ugnaught - Yeah, sure. You can never have enough of these.
black Cloud Car Pilot - Not that it matters what this one looks like, as you can barely see him/her/it, but it'd be nice to have at least two different pilots for when we get that new Cloud Car.
Bespin Security Guard with a mustache - can I just draw a mustache on another one for this?
Darth Vader Bespin blast deflection - I don't feel a huge want for this, but I'd probably buy it anyway. (As long as it doesn't come with a blast deflecting action gimmick.)
Cloud City civilian - Nah. No need.
Yep. Here's a list of both simple and weird background characters. For this one I'll agree and vote for the most unique choice, Treva Horme.
Another nice list, I want them all except the Vader and the black Cloud Car Pilot.
U-3PO (a silver protocal droid, they could re-card TC-14)
black Bespin Security Guard
Utriss M'Toc - alien Bespin Security Guard
Wiorkettle - a Snivvian
Treva Horme - a tall Cloud City alien civilian
The Ice Cream Maker Guy
new Ugnaught
black Cloud Car Pilot
Bespin Security Guard with a mustache - in case you think the Vintage isn't redone yet
Darth Vader Bespin blast deflection - the not-released CD ROM figure
Cloud City civilian - woman Bespin Escape (seen in evacuation scenes)
I'm going to go off my normal tangent and actually vote for the Black Bespin Security Guard. I want all the vintage figures made, and even though they would just throw a head on the allready made security guard that would be fine.

The only figure here that really interests me is the Black Bespin Guard. IMO the various civilians really aren't necessary and I can't imagine anybody but us die hard colelctors would bother purchasing any of them...at least on a single card. The only way I could see releasing any of them would be in an Ultra 3-pack like Jabba's Denzians.

Wiorkettle - a Snivvian

Darth Vader Bespin blast deflection I think it could be done well with right articulation plus they will need to have another vader eventually to keep the line going it might as well be this one.

Really? How come?
We got 2
Articulation was head, arms, waist, basically. Only the legs weren't poseable, so they were a bit "salt-shaker"
But we got 2
They were distinguished enough: one a business-'naught, the other a worker.
They were detailed as about as well as the ESB design permitted.

The fact that we got two was great, but quality-wise I just thought that they were a step backward compared to the vintage Ugnaught. But I've always been a sucker for cloth accessories. With the improvements in the sculpting of more recent figures, I think Hasbro could do an excellent job remaking the vintage Ugnaught. Who, if we want to split hairs, wasn't one of the Ugnaught offered in the POTF2 two-pack.

I'm voting for Treva Horme as well. This is actually a "Hare Mouse." It reminds me that Mosep was also skipped from the ANH list. This is the alien that Marvel used for Jabba the Hutt before his official movie design from ROTJ, and is one of my favorite SW aliens.
I like most of the choices on the list, and like others, my runner up was the Black Bespin Guard.
Utriss M'Toc, as was said was avery Star Trek-like, though it would be cool. Maybe Hasbro could give us a three pack with The Ice Cream Maker guy, a security guard and either a civilian as mentioned above, or Wiorkettle or another Ugnaught.

My write in vote: Han Torture. My second choice would be Vader, but only if something really cool were going on with it.

How come nobody has responded to my question about Lando smuggler's outfit?
Well J.T. my answer is this, when the VOTC comes out, I will take one Han (S.A. ANH) & one Lando (S.A. Empire) & swap heads/hands. This will solve the tiny problem I have with Lando in smugglers gear. Which by the way is nothing that I need to see carded. I'd much rather see General Veers or Colonel Wulf carded, but that's just my personal opinion. :)

How come nobody has responded to my question about Lando smuggler's outfit?
Could be because you didn't phrase it as a question. :p But I think the desire for this Lando is it is a version of a main character that isn't released yet. So like the endless Padme there is a strong support. Also like Tycho pointed out this is the outfit he wore in SOTE so there is EU support for the outfit as well. And while he doesn't were the outfit long its a more versatile figure then luke in traction.

JT, I agree with DIndae. The want for Lando in Hans clothes is similar to everyone wanting Padme in every outfit she ever wore.Even though he wore it for 6 secinds of screen time, it still would make a cool figure. And it shhows what a scoundrel he really is. He didnt even wait to see if his friend was dead before taking his clothes. :beard:
Mr. JabbaJohnL
06-11-2004, 01:34 PM
And, it's not like a simple head-swap/hand-paint could make a Han figure into a Lando. The costume that Lando wore had the collar closed and tucked in under the vest, IIRC. It was very similar to the costume Han wore for the ANH Yavin medal ceremony. So, like I said, after they make the Lando in smuggler's gear, they could add other parts and make a ceremony Han.

I think the problem is that ANH and the prequels have been thoroughly mined already and upgrading core characters to being the best they can be really is more important to a lot of us than getting a blue snaggletooth or something of that nature.
Some figures, like Luke and Leia Endor (offered in an upcoming ROTJ assortment choice-list here) really need to be upgraded. I whole-heartedly agree with that. The problem is that Hasbro can release less than up-to-standard figures conspiratorily, knowing we'll buy from them again the next time they upgrade it. WHY was Anakin Secret Ceremony's cloak flowing in the wind? Did he not have more screen-time with the cool way it draped on him hanging like Darth Vader's did? An Anakin with a cloak like Vader RH's (only a brown Jedi robe with hood down), would have been sweet. And it's just a guess, but I think the guys at Hasbro did see the movie ;) So when I see something like Ephant Mon - or take Tessek since he's more to standard figure size - that's background but done so well, so detailed - it's like ART. Anakin Skywalker, Luke Endor, Leia Endor, and up until recently Han Hoth amongst others need to be redone. Granted Han Hoth did come out like a piece of sculpted art - but we already knew exactly how it'd be done (almost) and exactly what it needed to look like.
Meanwhile we will be moving on to vote on figures from RETURN OF THE JEDI.
For those who like write-ins, the first round is Tatooine figures only.
Vote for the character you want a figure made out of the most from:
Herme Odel
Yarna dal Gargon
Umpass Stay (Klatoonian Drummer)
Ak-Rev (Weequay Drummer)
Shasha Teil - Ishi Tibb
the bird-head droid with the needle nose
Klaatu - a green Nikto from Kenner's vintage collection
white human guard who shoots Luke's hand - has helmet with antlers
black human courtier - stands behind Jabba, goes on sailbarge
Sgt Doaylln - has tank on his head - gets thrown against wall when Boussh enters
R2D2 w. Launching lightsaber - complete redo
Nikto -alternative for those not convinced Kenner's was redone
Weequay - alternative version, tan padding on chest
I want a lot of these, but first let's get Kenner's line redone! I'm satisfied with the Niktos that we have and don't really worry about those minor details. The Skiffguards 3-pack was probably the most highly useful CS in the history of the entire line!
While Herme Odel should get done and would make an awesome large figure in the likes of Ephant Mon, Klaatu should not be forgotten! My votes going to the Green Guy. How about yours?

Although I'm voting for Yarna d'al Gargan, I think we really need her beau, Sgt Doallyn (who could easily be a re-tooling from BoShek parts).
Also, I think these three guys and gals you skip need to be eligible:
human female dancer (I can't think of her name, but she wears red and is officially not Mara Jade
Gartogg (just an excuse to do a Gamorrean resculpt with the force pike)
human B'omarr Monks (there are several of these guys in a few different scenes)

I gotta go with Hermie Odel. I love my Ephant Mon and Hermie was a close second on my "rare aliens I don't think Hasbro will make" list. There isn't a bad choice on this list however so I would be happy with anyone.

I vote for Herme Odel too for the same reason as dindea...it was hard to choose between the two, so now I want Herme!
:)
I'm afraid that I will not even list any other figures from the list because Hermi Odle is the only figure that should be made! I bet he will win this entire poll too.

I could have sworn they made a Dofine figure, or am I hallucinating? The 12" Amidala Return To Naboo was beautifully done, but of course, that's out of scale. I'd like the handmaiden in both of the first two rounds.

While I'd love to get a Herme Odel figure I have to cast my vote for Yarna d'al Gargan this round. She's just about as unique looking as a character can get IMO.
A good R2 w/ launching lightsaber would be nice too though.

I'm reposting the list so it's on the same page for those of you displaying 20 replies per page in your user CP settings.
Jaff, as to Herme Odel winning the whole thing: maybe. More importantly, where should we take this thread when we complete another 2-3 rounds of ROTJ figure possibilities?
I can print the stats that rank all the characters from the highest vote getters to the lowest.
I can do that per movie.
We can do run-offs to see if they match the results given by the total vote counts, or if there will be change-overs in some cases.
We can pit prequel movie against prequel movie, sequel vs. sequel - then the winners against them all.
In the interests of fun, I suppose that's one direction in which I should go.
However, we all want Hasbro to make more than 1 figure!
I think some listing of numbers and some analysis should happen preceeding each run-off, so we can discuss stuff and see if the voting ultimately results in the most accurate picture.
Everyone should feel welcome to contribute their ideas as to how this should be done. By next Tuesday, we'll have covered all the possibilities from every movie.
So Vote for the character you want a figure made out of the most from:
Herme Odel
Yarna dal Gargon
Umpass Stay (Klatoonian Drummer)
Ak-Rev (Weequay Drummer)
Shasha Teil - Ishi Tibb
the bird-head droid with the needle nose
Klaatu - a green Nikto from Kenner's vintage collection
white human guard who shoots Luke's hand - has helmet with antlers
black human courtier - stands behind Jabba, goes on sailbarge
Sgt Doaylln - has tank on his head - gets thrown against wall when Boussh enters
R2D2 w. Launching lightsaber - complete redo
Nikto -alternative for those not convinced Kenner's was redone
Weequay - alternative version, tan padding on chest

Tycho, if we're talking about compiling a list that we're actually going to present to Hasbro, then I say we choose the top 5-10 figures per movie. Whether that list is made up of figures that already have received the top number of votes, or we do runoffs based on which ones have recieved the top votes thus far, is something that can be determined.
If we're doing it for our own entertainment, then maybe we want to narrow each movie down to 1-5 figures, then after we've gone through all five movies, have a runoff of those top 25 figures and whittle it down to a top 5 that would not necessarily include figures from each movie, but would represent out top five overall. To go further we could have a run off of that final five down to the one figure we want most from the list.
Granted, this is democratic, and would not necessarily represent even a single figure from some people's most wanted lists, but we're pooling as a group here.
Everyone is welcome to send their own top 10 lists to hasbro in the hope that someone actually takes note and says "Gee, an awful lot of people have been asking for Cliegg Lars, maybe we should make him."

Tycho, if we're talking about compiling a list that we're actually going to present to Hasbro, then I say we choose the top 5-10 figures per movie.
OK, we're sort of getting that. For both TPM and AOTC, we had 5 groups of figures we voted on, but from scene-by-scene sequences in the movie. So for each movie, we have a 5-figure run-off.
Whether that list is made up of figures that already have received the top number of votes, or we do runoffs based on which ones have recieved the top votes thus far, is something that can be determined.
4 of TPM's top vote getters are the run-off contenders in a TPM top-5. The fifth beat all other TPM figures other than its 4 competitors for top honors, but it did not get more votes than 4 of AOTC's top 5 contenders, and tied with 2 more of AOTC's top contenders.
So the ordered list of preference is correct only if that fifth TPM figure cannot beat the other 4 TPM figures in a TPM run-off.
Meanwhile, the only reason the AOTC figure choices got less votes than TPM winners was because the choices in the AOTC selections were much more contested, closer contests.
The problem there is that while TPM and AOTC had 5 lists of approximately 10 figures each, AOTC did have one list with 20 possibilities, and ANH only had 3 lists, ESB 2, while ROTJ might have 4 (if I break some categories down very scene specifically).
So I kind of think that keeping the Prequel and Sequel votes separate makes some sense, but we'll see what we get after those movie run-offs.
Statistically speaking, there might be little or no variances to the results we get once we start looking at our data when we finish with ROTJ.
Granted, this is democratic, and would not necessarily represent even a single figure from some people's most wanted lists, but we're pooling as a group here.
Right!
Everyone is welcome to send their own top 10 lists to hasbro in the hope that someone actually takes note and says "Gee, an awful lot of people have been asking for Cliegg Lars, maybe we should make him."
I was thinking of printing 2 copies of this entire thread, topping it with a results summary page, and personally giving it to Hasbro at Comic Con (to 2 employees, at different levels of management - SW team leader, boys toys development? Something like that).
We can take the larger leaders' list (of characters) and maybe use it for a larger polling audience by making the refined want-list a frontpage poll on SirSteves. JediTricks is here and could make some good choices regarding the data collected here once we consolidate it (I mean there's no point in polling the site's general readers about a wounded Hanger Duel Obi-Wan figure because not even one of you voted for it (as a carded figure - I remember Deoxy's vote for the Ultra). But we're not at that point yet.
With that in mind, I just want to post the next list from ROTJ early (about 6 of you might get behind in voting, but I'm over-anxious, so indulge me.
[b] I'm splitting the rest of ROTJ up like this (for those of you timing your write-ins): (1) Death Star / Space Battle figures , (2) Endor Rebel figures, (3) Ewoks. There will be some shorter lists because there are 23 figures total left. (/b)
Choose the character you want a figure made of the most:
Moff Jerjerrod - Death Star Commander
Slim Aloo - Imperial Dignitary made as vintage figure in the 80's
Dresselian Rebel - PruneFace's species, but no eye-patch
human B-wing pilot - red uniform - made as vintage figure in the 80's
black X-wing fighter pilot from Executor attack "She's going to blow!"
Grey Leader - Asian Y-wing pilot in gray uniform "I'm hit!"
Luke Skywalker Jedi Knight - Death Star II (no tunic vest)
Darth Vader Removeable Helmet - updated neutral figure
Right now, out of these, I really want Slim Aloo, Imperial Dignitary. I didn't like the Kren Blista-Whatever dignitary with the Captain Crunch hat and want at least 2 dignitaries for my scene of the Emperor debarking from his shuttle. I'd like the original figure redone to go with my other dignitary. I didn't buy Kren.
And I'd really like Moff Jerjerrod though - much more useful to me than other Imperials we've had choices of (except General Veers- a must have!) But Jerjerrod over Tagge or Yularen any day!
I also like the ethnically diverse pilots for the Rebel briefing scene. In the ships it's harder to tell - you could have Dutch Vander flying every Rebel ship you own and you'd have to look closely to tell. But in the scene with all their helmets off, this would be quite nice having black and Asian characters as well.
Luke needs to get done - don't get me wrong. That caveman with slashing action was awful! (and re-appearing at Wal-Mart quite regularly now). But I think since it's Luke, they're likely to redo this figure again anyway. I like his DSII outfit with the flap on his shirt open (only was like this in the scene where Vader's helmet came off - but it's cool to have the figure molded this way anyway, though some of you would disagree I'm sure).
But a solid list. Only the Dresselian doesn't interest me that much. But it'd be cooler if they did that rather than reconsidering PruneFace if his name comes up for re-release.

Could be because you didn't phrase it as a question. :p Excuses excuses, what is this, Jeopardy? I'll take "Star Wars action figures almost nobody wants" for 600, Alex. ;)
Ok, you want a question, how about this: what would be the justification for a Lando Smuggler figure over Luke Recovery Room or AT-AT Veers?
But I think the desire for this Lando is it is a version of a main character that isn't released yet. So like the endless Padme there is a strong support. Also like Tycho pointed out this is the outfit he wore in SOTE so there is EU support for the outfit as well. And while he doesn't were the outfit long its a more versatile figure then luke in traction.I don't think there's "strong" support for these nigh-endless Pamde fashion nightmare figures at this point, but even so I am just not seeing why Lando in Han's clothing is considered a better action figure choice than Luke in recovery room garb w/ cybernetic arm - we have several good action Lando figs already that were much more interesting and certainly more versatile than Lando in Hanvest, and SOTE may have been cool but it's WAAAAAAAAY in the past - I don't see an awful lot of folks requesting a better Dash Rendar or Lando in the half-guard outfit or even Guri at this point.
Tycho, not to be rude, but if you want art, try Gentle Giant; these are still action figures. You yourself have complained about figures that are basically just statues, so clearly it can't just be an "art" thing.
Herme Odel
Yarna dal Gargon
Umpass Stay (Klatoonian Drummer)
Ak-Rev (Weequay Drummer)
Shasha Teil - Ishi Tibb
the bird-head droid with the needle nose
Klaatu - a green Nikto from Kenner's vintage collection
white human guard who shoots Luke's hand - has helmet with antlers
black human courtier - stands behind Jabba, goes on sailbarge
Sgt Doaylln - has tank on his head - gets thrown against wall when Boussh enters
R2D2 w. Launching lightsaber - complete redo
Nikto -alternative for those not convinced Kenner's was redone
Weequay - alternative version, tan padding on chest Oh, there is no question at all, R2-saber-launching. I've wanted that done right since I was 7 years old, and to this date the only one that's even come close is the 12"-scale R2 I hacked the door open on (the stalk behind the "eye" actually holds the Luke saber hilt in place, looks good). Others that I'm interested in would be the guy who shoots Luke in the hand and Yarna d'al Gargan.
And I think Herme Odle is one of the lamest non-characters in the Palace scene, just a goofy-looking, drooling sack of meat who doesn't do jack squat; Herme looks like he rides the little yellow schoolbus to Jabba's Palace every day and has his mittens pinned to his jacket by his mom year round.
Moff Jerjerrod - Death Star Commander
Slim Aloo - Imperial Dignitary made as vintage figure in the 80's
Dresselian Rebel - PruneFace's species, but no eye-patch
human B-wing pilot - red uniform - made as vintage figure in the 80's
black X-wing fighter pilot from Executor attack "She's going to blow!"
Grey Leader - Asian Y-wing pilot in gray uniform "I'm hit!"
Luke Skywalker Jedi Knight - Death Star II (no tunic vest)
Darth Vader Removeable Helmet - updated neutral figure Again, no question at all - we need a GREAT Luke ROTJ no-vest figure (or better yet, removable vest and super-articulated and handcuffs and endor poncho and the works). In order, here are my next choices, Vader RH, Gray Leader, and B-Wing pilot; the rest just don't do much for me.

As for the run off I propose throw all highly voted figure into two groups prequel and sequels. Then everyone rank 1st, 2nd and 3rd. 1st =3points 2nd=2points and 3rd =1points. Then we could do run off between all figures.

For the last one, Yarna d'al Gargan, definitely.
For this one, I'll say Sim Aloo. The others are kind of boring, except for Luke, who I think should come with a poncho, and I assume will be in a future poll.

There are some really tough choices for me here. I love all of the different Rebel pilots and Sim Aloo is a character I've hoped we'd get for some time now. Having said that I still feel compelled to vote for Moff Jerjerrod - Death Star Commander.
The Luke and Vader would be welcome also but I think we have a much better chance of seeing these produced in the next few years than most of the others on the list.

Its a tough choice between Moff Jerjerrod and Slim Aloo, but I'll go with Slim. A bit boring as a vintage figure (I wasn't jumping up and down to get one as a kid), but I think he'd be great as a modern figure for collectors.

Keep voting between what's a tight contest for Slim Aloo and Moff Jerjerrod.
I need to post the next, and second to last list, before I take off very early tomorrow morning and disappear until Monday. 10 out of 17 of you have voted (who are recently regular), but I don't want to leave anybody with "nothing to do."
Since our last list will be exclusively Ewoks, this final list will comprise everything left out of ROTJ that didn't appear on one of our previous lists (Jabbas, the Death Star, Rebel Frigate, and Space Battle).
This almost-to-last group is narrowed down to (in my estimate) exclusively Endor Rebels. Write-ins from ROTJ not featured before (except Ewoks - saving them for our last poll) are of course welcome.
Pick the character you most want to see made into an action figure:
Luke Skywalker Endor - removeable helmet, removeable poncho (specify hard or soft)
Princess Leia Endor - removeable helmet, removeable poncho (hard or soft?), gun fits in removeable holster belt
Han Solo Endor Gear - removeable soft goods camouflage trench coat
Lando Calrissian - Ewok Celebration (slightly different from General's uniform)
Master Yoda - spirit / ghost - done like new Dagobah Obi-Wan
Anakin Skywalker -spirit ghost - done like new Dagobah Obi-Wan
R2-D2 shield bunker - blasted open - all gadgets sticking out everywhere
black Endor Rebel Soldier
old bearded man Endor Soldier in stolen Bikerscout uniform
This is an almost exclusively major-player list of figures. The scary thing is that with all the resculpts and recardings Hasbro has been doing lately, these would still ultimately sell better I bet - since they're all something you can't get - at least not without any great quality - from Hall of Fame recards or anything else out now.
How basic can a Star Wars wave get?
Luke
Leia
Han
Lando
Yoda
Anakin
R2D2
Sorry to sound conceited, but my wave here is almost better if not at least as good as Hasbro's V-OTC choices they're producing.
Now from my list, I could care less about this Han or Lando, pretty much. They'd make good figures, don't get me wrong, but...
Oh, and the Rebel soldiers? The old man should have been in a hover-chair and not a bikerscout costume! How could Han let him risk going on that mission? He must have had an interesting backstory motivating him. The black Endor Soldier ought to be done at some point, but we just got 2 head sculpts in 2002. It can wait a little while.
Yoda and Anakin spirits would be awesome - plus they'd be individually carded. It'd look very cool.
Luke and Leia have to get done! They ought to have been produced by now. Leia needs the improvement the most kind of that wide lower torso of hers on all previous Endor/General figures of the Princess from this movie.
But R2D2 done with everything popping out would make an incredibly cool sculpt for Hasbro. No action-feature - just all the stuff sculpted with coiled wires, etc. They could do an awesome job on this little droid here.
R2D2 dude!

Catching up a bit. From the Jabba's palace/barge group here's my main choices...
Hermi Odle (http://www.starwars.com/databank/character/hermiodle) - yes, ugly and crazy looking, but hey, I'd buy it.
Yarna D'al Gargan (http://www.starwars.com/databank/character/yarnadalgargan) - I can think of six reasons why this one will never happen... which is why I'd like to see it done.
the bird-head droid with the needle nose (http://www.starwars.jp/droid/image/bg_j38.jpg) (BG-738) - obscure, but cool looking droid.
R2D2 w. Launching lightsaber - It would be nice to get a decent version of this R2, but I'm not sure they can or will do it. I never liked the fact that the other one shot out a full saber and not just the hilt. They probably can't have a toy that fires something as small as a saber handle though.
I'll say Yarna D'al Gargan.
Next bunch...
Moff Jerjerrod (http://www.starwars.com/databank/character/moffjerjerrod/) - Looks like Gary Sinise. Sounds like a sure thing, weird that we never got this one before.
Slim Aloo - Yeah, this one's cool looking. Isn't it coming anyway?
Dresselian Rebel, human B-wing pilot - red uniform, black X-wing fighter pilot, Grey Leader -
Luke Skywalker Jedi Knight - Hmm, I think if we get an Endor Luke with removable poncho/helmet, then we get this also. It'd be nice if it came with shirt flap closed and some great articulation. If they wanted to do a "laying down" version with shirt flap open and some force lightning damage, then I'd go for that. (Not sure why though.)
Darth Vader Removeable Helmet - At this point, I've got what I want. If we can get a super deluxe med chamber version with articulation and all that... then cool.
Moff Jerjerrod here.
Luke Skywalker Endor - Yep. Removable soft poncho and helmet. Give it great articulation and it'll serve many needs.
Princess Leia Endor - Same, but not quite as important.
Han Solo Endor Gear - Yeah sure, but the older one isn't so terrible.
Lando Calrissian - Mmm. No.
Master Yoda, Anakin Skywalker (spirit/ghost) - I'm pretty sure that I don't like this new "ghost" style, so I'm also pretty sure that I don't want these. They'll probably make them anyway.
R2-D2 shield bunker - Not urgently needed. (Maybe as a playset pack-in.)
Black Endor Rebel Soldier - More soldiers would be fine. Probably just a set would be nice. Could include...
Old bearded man Endor Soldier in stolen Bikerscout uniform
Last pick, Luke Skywalker Endor with removable helmet and soft poncho.
Luke Skywalker Endor - removeable helmet, removeable poncho (specify hard or soft)
Princess Leia Endor - removeable helmet, removeable poncho (hard or soft?), gun fits in removeable holster belt
Han Solo Endor Gear - removeable soft goods camouflage trench coat
Lando Calrissian - Ewok Celebration (slightly different from General's uniform)
Master Yoda - spirit / ghost - done like new Dagobah Obi-Wan
Anakin Skywalker -spirit ghost - done like new Dagobah Obi-Wan
black Endor Rebel Soldier
old bearded man Endor Soldier in stolen Bikerscout uniform
The way I see it all these figures are pretty much rehashes or variations on figures allready made. Some sound interesting, but it's just the same old stuff to me, so I will pass on all of em in the vote.
R2-D2 shield bunker - blasted open - all gadgets sticking out everywhere - However this would be one cool figure! So this gets my vote.

I'm going with Han in a removable soft goods coat. Of the main three (Luke, Leia, and Han) I think Endor Luke is in need of an update the most. But I was never really happy with the POTF2 trench coat Han. The vintage version is easily superior. Why? Its because of the coat. A very close second would be Endor Luke with removable soft goods poncho.

I'm going with Luke Skywalker Endor here. A soft goods Poncho would be best but I'd settle for either. Removable helmet is a must on this one. I'm actually really surprised we haven't seen another version of this figure made yet, Leia too for that matter. :dis:

I'll go Luke Skywalker in Endor Gear, with cloth poncho. This would double as an awesome DSII version of the character, and would make up for that crappy Throne Room Duel piece of junk. R2-D2, Spirit Yoda, and Endor Leia are also very nice choices, and I think the rebel troopers would work better as customs. We'll have to wait until it's official, whether the Spirit Anakin on the DVD will be Hayden or Sebastian, and I want whichever version is on there (besides, we already got two old Anakins - combined, they would actually be more accurate than either version is!).

My second choice is Luke Endor w/ removable cloth poncho, lightsaber & hilt, removable vest & helmet, super-articulated.
Han, I wouldn't mind having a better version of this, Leia same thing. Lando, I could completely live without. Anakin & Yoda ghosts, perhaps but by no means likely. The 2 Endor rebs, take or leave.

This wave fills me with the least amount of excitement as it is mostly resculpts. I would not object to Leai, Luke and Han, but I hate the way the softgoods look, so I'd want vinyl ponchos, and even plastic for Han's trenchcoat. For all the complaining that everyone does about the existing version, I would like to warn you in advance that a cloth trenchcoat will look more like a bathrobe.

I'm out of it for a little while and... Time to catch up. For part of ROTJ, I have to go with Klaatu. I really want to see all of the Kenner figures resculpted and he does show up several times at the beginning of ROTJ. I would quickly and happily purchase any of the rest of those figures though. (It's so hard picking just one!)
Part II is the hardest. I seriously want all of these figures made. However, my ultimate most-wanted figure graces this list so I have to go with Luke Skywalker Jedi Knight Please, Hasbro!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Part III is another tough one. I think an ethnic variation on the Endor trooper would be great but I don't see the point in a new sculpt. I think Hasbro naile dit down pretty well with the Saga one. Just slap a new head on the old body and I'm happy. I want an Endor Luke, Leia and Han (soft goods would be nice) all pretty much the same. So, for this I'll go with Han Solo since the POTF version was one of the most annoying figures for me.

OK now: with this poll we are completely done going through every possible movie character from every Star Wars movie currently released!
Please vote and then stick around and contribute with us for all the interesting statistical analysis, some fun run-offs, and everything else you can think of!
First...
Choose the Ewok you want made the most:
Mother Ewok with baby Wokling
Chief Chirpa
Paploo - non-flying resculpt
Lumat
Warok
Romba
Keeolkeech - Death's Head Ewok seen as Leia's discovered in the village
As I created a large Battle of Endor diorama, complete with 2 vintage Ewok villages set up within it, I need a lot of Ewoks (probably 30 total in the diorama) and I'd like as much variety as I can get.
That being said, you can switch hoods and accessories to create your own variations, and the fur color and extras are the best things to help.
I also want all the vintage figures redone as some sort of tribute to Kenner, the 'ol days, etc.
Chirpa and Paploo were the most important of the 5 remaining that really need good modern sculpts.
Keeolkeech is a personal favorite I identified from Red6's site. I liked a tougher looking Ewok and he looks like he could take down one of the Empire's finest!
But the mother Ewok with baby wokling would be the most unique and different stand-out piece in my scene, even amongst vintage and modern Ewoks I have currently living in my village. I wouldn't want her overlooked while the demand for vintage pieces being redone uses up all the "allowance for Ewoks" Hasbro decides to give us - as personally I think the demand for the vintage redos will stay strong until they are done. We're down to like only 10 figures not yet modernized, so why should Hasbro avoid them?
Anyway, it's your turn now. Choose your favorite Ewok and our listing will be complete!

I want them all (and plenty besides), but I think Chirpa most needs to be made for three reasons:
1) He's the leader of the Ewoks.
2) He is a major character in the advancing the storyline, rather than a cool background character.
3) He was produced in the Vintage line.

BB, why do we need a new ugnaught besides the lack of cloth? The POTF2 versions look fine to me, I just found like 3 more sets of 'em in my collecting boxes awaiting display space. Have you taken a good look at the POTF2 versions lately?
I think it's mainly the cloth accessories that I want, if you look at the actual costumes for the Ugnaughts they were pretty awful so the POTF2 versions were accurate to the hideous characters. I would just rather have the specific Ugnaught made in the vintage line to be remade.
Wow, I'm offline for a weekend and I fall way behind in the votes here!
So, to catch up again:
I vote for Hermi Odle, only because Kithaba isn't listed. He's the Klatooinian skiff guard who stood directly behind Luke on the prisoner skiff and he has never been made in action figure form. The 3-pack Barada was on the second skiff, and the vintage Barada was the same character as the 3-pack figure only painted like Kithaba (yellow shirt/red pants instead of white shirt/blue pants).
For the second ROTJ list, I'll pick the grey Y-wing Pilot. I like these flight suits more than any of the others. I was thinking of a neutral RH Vader, but it's easy enough to do a head swap with the Saga RH Vader and the upcoming neo-vintage Vader.
And finally, I pick the Endor Rebel in Biker Scout disguise and the mother Ewok with Woklings.

I have returned, and this thread did race along like a bullet. I am surprised that there were so few polls in the classic trilogy. I think there were more choices out there; however, my favorties always made the lists so why complain?
My votes:
For Classic Trilogy Ultra - Worrt (it was Tagge until I saw he was a choice for non-Ultra)
White Platform droid with multiple arms
Arcona (Hem Dazon)
Tagge (I think Commander Willard should have been a choice, but I'd rather have Tagge anyway. But Willard had speaking lines so he should have been on the list)
Captain Needa
Black Bespin Security Guard
Gargan (this is the figure that should win the whole thing in my opinion. I also would REALLY like to see them make the guy who shot Luke because I doubt they'll ever make him)
Jerjerrod
R2-D2 with all of his gadgets out
Chief Chirpa

As much as I want the Mother and wokling, El Chuxter summed up why I have to vote for Chief Chirpa.

BIGBARADA: I can record your vote for the Klatoonian as a write-in if you want. It'll be his first. Or I can record Herme Odel's 4th vote, which will come slightly more closer to Yarna dal Gargon's lead by 7, making her the favorite for this poll.
DROID: If you care to add any Classic Trilogy write-ins, you may do so. I think I got almost everybody that is viable for a figure. Sure, Melinda Carniss, an ordinary girl with long brunette hair, seen in Jabba's Palace wearing a red flightsuit... - COULD HAVE GOTTEN WRITTEN IN by anybody all this time - but she'd not have stood a chance against Yarna dal Gargon. But while we are trying to be thorough, Carniss was elligible for a write-in all along.
By the same token, Chief Bast and other Imperial Officers who ever uttered anything were not mentioned by name - but "that guy" or Veers? It's the same type of uniform, the same function in an army (an Imp Offcier) but to make Bast before Veers or Jerjerrod would feel very weird.
They all could have been written in, and every list could have had 20 possibilities without exaggerating too much. But I think we covered it pretty good. As soon as the majority of Ewok votes come in, we're going to go over some stats on the "how many's" and "who got voted for's." It should be interesting. Be sure to add your comments, and I hope you enjoyed the lists you got to catch up on and saw some interesting choices, but most of all, had some fun! (do tell if you had a good vacation!) :)
Mother Ewok with baby Wokling
Chief Chirpa
Paploo - non-flying resculpt
Lumat
Warok
Romba
Keeolkeech - Death's Head Ewok seen as Leia's discovered in the village
I want all of them too. Chief Chirpa is the one I really want, but I have to vote for the Mother Ewok with Baby because she is just so unique.

The only one that is really unique and recoginzable from the film is the mother Ewok with Wokling. If made, it could be really cool.

Beyond voting for the Ewoks, lies our great analysis and I can't wait to start the comment period!
Keep voting for Ewoks if you haven't done so already. All polls are still open since the very beginning of this thread, so if you are new and just joining us, you're more than welcome to vote away.
All polls will close in 20 hours. This is the first of 2 notices.
So what have we learned so far?
We've listed just about every possibility.
There are about 211 figures possible, left to do in this entire line.
That does not include Episode 3 figures.
At 50 figures per year, should Hasbro release the figures we've suggested, (mind you we have not even voted for them all), this line (without E3 figures) will last only another 4 years.
Now AOTC recently produced 50 figures for the 2002 movie year (thereabouts) and 34 figures (approximately) in 2003 in the following Saga year.
We'll get into our list suggestions later, but we determined that Hasbro covered all but about 33 figures that they left possible from AOTC.
So not including those (because they are part of our 211 figures possible count), we might estimate that Episode 3 will add another 84 figures to the line's lifetime.
It could go something like this:
2005 - 50 figures from Episode 3
2006 - 34 figures from Episode 3, 26 figures from Eps 1,2,4,5,6 (50 total figures)
2007 - 50 figures
2008 - 50 figures
2009 - 50 figures
2010 - 35 figures
The line is over! (or not including re-cards, resculpts we didn't ask for - everything we actually might want could be done)
What do you think?

I'd say there are more than 211 possibilities, but to get into any higher numbers, you'd have to completely milk the Outlander Club, Cantina, Mos Espa Arena/Podrace, and Jabba's Palace scenes for all they're worth and throw in a lot of incredibly dull figures (like "third human on the right in scene 23" or "Doug Chiang as Generic Bob the Coruscant citizen").

What's interesting about ElChuxter's comments is that out of the 211 figure possibilities offered, only about half of them (110) were any of your first picks for figures from the lists of possibilities.
Several of you posting here complained that characters were uninteresting or too obscure. A couple of you had track records for voting for core-characters, even when they were resculpts.
So the further we delve into the first 110 that are this group's priorities, and any pushing further beyond that where we go to completing all the 211 offered, the more chances we have of seeing something unpopular pegwarm and hurt sales for the line's continuance.
I'm certain that most of you wanted more than the 110 figures that got votes here, but if any of you doubt that, then the viability of doing new figures to maintain interest in the hobby has only a lifespan of approximately 2 more years, versus 4 (not taking into account product for a year and a half longer from the Episode 3 movie).
So Star Wars will die this decade. 1995 - 2010 - that's 15 years. It only lasted 7 back in the vintage days before the Dark Times came.

All in all, I don't spend too much time wondering which Ewok will come next. I'm not anti-Ewok or anything, I just figure that they'll end up making every single one of the funny, furry little buggers... so, I'll take 'em as they come.
Mother Ewok with baby Wokling - Awwww! So cuuuute!
Chief Chirpa (http://www.starwars.com/databank/character/chiefchirpa/) - Yep. This is an obvious choice and it's obviously silly that we don't have him by now.
Paploo (non-flying resculpt) - The same one from the POTJ AT-ST set? Sure, a single carded version would be nice.
Lumat (http://www.starwars.jp/character/image/lumat.jpg) - A re-do of the vintage figure? Sure, why not?
Warok - Hmm, isn't the ultra w/ glider figure that we just got really Warok (http://red6.home.insightbb.com/Aliens/Endor/Warok.jpg)? If not then a modern re-do of the vintage one would be OK I suppose.
Romba (http://red6.home.insightbb.com/Aliens/Endor/Romba.jpg) - Another vintage figure re-do? Again... yep.
Keeolkeech (http://red6.home.insightbb.com/Aliens/Endor/Keoulkeech.jpg) - (As much as know Tycho's obsessed with this Ewok, I'm really surprised that he didn't vote for him.) We got the 12" version... well, some people (not me) got it, so I'd assume that a smaller version is coming someday. Maybe?
I'll vote for Mother Ewok with baby Wokling. It's a totally new and unique idea. Chances are good that all of the others can and will happen. In most cases, just tracking down a good vintage figure works fine. The mamma w/ baby thing is a long shot, and that's why it wins my vote... as well as my heart.

I would love Chief Chirpa just as much as the rest of you but I'm voting for the Mother Ewok w/ baby Wockling. Mostly because 2 figures are better than one and if only one of these choices were to be produced Chirpa would be possible to whip up as a custom.

Keeolkeech Could not care less about any of these really and I don't care whatsoever about recompleting the Vintage line. So, LLTA vote: Chirpa, I guess 'cause he's the chief. But they're almost all interchangable to me as action figures, except the mother which is a pretty dull action figure (I didn't buy the Tusken mother & kid, but that's more because I hated the designs, so it's not impossible that I'd buy this), and since none of them play a vital role in the film that requires major camera-time, I really don't see anything here that appeals much, Logray & Teebo & the generic Ultra fill the background enough for me -- except for Wicket they're not really characters to me, just generic teddy bears. Hell, I don't even want the catapult, in the film the glider was cool but the catapult was pretty lame IMO.
PF, I think Tycho proved that Red6 misidentified that glider-wearing Ewok as Warok pretty well, so I'm going that way.
I think we're already pushing the envelope with these background figures, the more background we go, the less collectors there will be which will itself kill the line, and that's not counting the kiddies who of course have more interest in main characters than barely-noticed background stuff like Jabba's drummers.

112 of the 211 basic figures possible got at least one person voting for them.
The Phantom Menace
53 possibilities 27 of them got voted for as someone's first choice
Attack of the Clones
64 possibilities 33 of them got voted for as someone's first choice
A New Hope
32 possibilities 24 of them got voted for as someone's first choice
Empire Strikes Back
25 possibilities 12 of them got voted for as someone's first choice
Return of the Jedi
37 possibilities 16 of them got voted for as someone's first choice
We're seeing the pattern that roughly half the characters possible in total, or movie-by-movie, still hold someone's strong interest.
"A New Hope" is the exception, as interest in almost all the cantina aliens is very strong, giving this movie an edge over favored figures from other movies.
Not too surprising, "Attack of the Clones," being the newest movie, has the most figures sought after since Hasbro has had the least amount of time to produce them - though you'd think after 2002-3 they'd have gotten enough stuff done.
We'll look at the lists generated by each movie next.
I'm seeking your comments on the information our polling has provided here.
JediTricks, for your case, let's try and figure out when you want the line to die as we go through the lists of still-viable figures to market.
El Chuxter, as you review our lists, let us know when stuff becomes "too dull for you." It sounds to me as though our "200" are almost all fine by you, and if it were up to you, you'd search deeper for even more characters before you found the point where you got bored. Am I correct?
Who else wants to add their opinion?

This is because we were only allowed to vote for One Figure from each list, rather than being able to pick All of the figures we'd like to have. I'd estimate I'm probably interested in 95% of what was listed.
There are a few that I can think of off the top of my head that were overlooked that I think are viable, interesting looking characters, Mosep [B], who I mentioned in an earlier post and was the model for marvel comics pre-ROTJ Jabba the Hutt. I also think that the three humans who served as "Jabba's Twerps" lurking around under the Millennium Falcon in ANH would make great figures, preferably as a three-pack.
As for the ewoks, I'm equally interested in Chief Chirpa, and the Mother Ewok with wokling. I'm voting for [B]Mother Ewok and Wokling because it is a visually interesting combination.

I agree with B'Omarr Monkey. There were a number of times where I would have liked to have had many of the figures on the list. I was choosing my favorite as part of the game. For instance, I had to choose between Episode II Owen, Beru, and Cleigg.
I know there are many of us who only want a better Endor Luke and then they would quit. But there are others who want many background characters. For instance, there is a thread somewhere on here where somebody listed every character that should be made, and it is so complete I wouldn't buy all of them! (And I have a sickness.)
