KB's are closing :( ... Fred Myer's are no longer carrying figures :( But I have finally found 2 of the remaining six '03 figures I could never find up here at TRU... Ak Med Beq and the second Imp. Dig.

Wal-Mart also has the "Hall of Fame" figures. I found them early the first day (2 days ago) they were on the shelves and got all 12 for only $2 ea. :) This is good because I am not sure I would have paid full price for 12 repacks.

I'm lonely here, but I'll post anyways... in the off chance someone checks but doesn't post. If you do, please respond, so I know this is not in vain.

TRU has the new 12 inch wave. I only saw Garindan and Old Obi-Wan though. They also have been getting the Ack-Med and Imp. Dig assortment that has Barriss, Aayla, padawans, yoda and chian gold card re-packs.

K-B 5th ave. is closed, and K-B Dimond is soon to go as well.

Fred Meyers has been getting the Hoth wave although I was told they weren't carrying SW figs anymore. They had to add pegs at one store for the new ones.

I see that Alaska has the same bad distribution problem that us in SO Cal.
that sucks. Anyway I just wanted to drop you a line so you don't feel ignored like I did in the begining good luck with your hunting

I have found a few things lately, though not much.

Rappertunnie and J'Quille (though the rest of the case assortment alludes me).

better than nothing.

So how many stores are up where you live. here in SO Cal we have dozens of all kinds of stores and we still strugle to find toys.
It must be hard to find toys in such a Far place, i guess

We recently lost our K-Marts (two in Anchorage) and more recently lost our K-B's (also two in Anchorage). We now only have one TRU, two Wal-Marts in town and 2 within half an hour, and 4 Fred Myers (kind of like a Super K-Mart, but higher end) in town and two more within half an hour... plus a few comic shops and video stores that get their stuff early, but chargeabout $10 a figure... they're good only for knowing what should be showing up soon, or grabbing that rare figure before it disappears before you ever see it.

BTW... I recently saw the Antilles/Dadonna/Red Leader/TIE/Rappertunnie/J'Quille/Luke holo/Lando wave, but at a comic shop... Fred myers only had Lando and Luke left so I have two of the seven (I had J'Quille and rapertunnie already)

Good grief I haven't seen any of those toys down here in Texas. I guess I should move to Alaska.

Ain't it wierd, being the sole representative of your state on these boards? I've been posting here at SSG for a while now, and started up a 'Mississippi' thread in the Just Found section last year, and still I believe I am the only person in my state to post here regularly. Yet there are many in my state who collect, especially "older" ones like myself; the empty pegs at my local WM's and TRU's are evidence of this, and I know a couple of other collectors personally.

I think there are many who lurk on the forum to find out where people are finding things in their state, and yet do not post their own findings due to laziness, inherent greediness, or who knows why. Such a shame! But good luck in your hunts, skeeziks22, and take comfort that you are at least part of a very large, friendly collecting community.

There only seems like there is one tome in Alaska:beard:

I know how you feelthough. In my thread, VA/MD/DC area, I am the only one who lives in SouthWest Va. The rest in in Northern Va or Maryland. I post there to helpout "the lurkers" I know more than one person in my area collects because I have talked to a few at Wal-mart. I have been lucky enough to be at the stores the last few times they have packed out and nabbed everything I needed. I am onlymissing 2 '03 figures, Emperor and Mynock Chewie. Ireally want the Emperor, but will pass on Chewie for now.

Strange what different people have missed out on. I never saw the Outlander wave (Obi-Wan, Elan, Ayy and Conecpt trooper) but everything else showed up in some quantities.

The Emperor is not that great. It looks good in photos, but the actual figure has a hood that is thicker than his hands are and it sticks way above his face. Chewie Mynock hunt is the same from the Mynock Hunt three pack (which was also hard to find).

I am sure plenty of people from Anchorage etc. see these posts, but I know a few who don't inform me when they find new things even though we agreed that we would. Not sure if they aren't looking anymore or would rather keep their finds to themselves. BUT I will continue to post... when I find something new.

Just found "Ultra" Jango and Obi-Wan at Fred Myers. Beware of beat up bubbles. No ewok/gliders.... not the same assortment, soon hopefully.

Ewok is slated for late April.

I went for a little ride yesterday and made it to Wasilla and found...

Antilles
Dodonna
TIE Pilot
Dutch Vander
Tanus Spijek

There were also Holo Lukes, Lando Skiffs, and rapertunnies (though I already had those)

It looked like there were three cases on the shelves as evidenced by only three Tanus Spijek's and the pegs were full (I think I found them early).

Why have none of these have showed up in Anchorage???

recently found...

Red Leader X-Wing
Bossk
Dengar
Admiral Ozzel

also our TRU has been putting out a few cases of clone wars deluxe figures. Back stock, or new shipments from the distributor? I have read other TRUs getting cases of these as well, so maybe we can still hold our breath for wave 4 of the basic figs.?

hey im back.. I found an unleashed red clone at Anchorage Fred Meyer and got a free attackix clone :) (I think its on the old seward highway) Then on the way back to anchorage from denali we stopped at a wall mart and I found an unleashed Ig88, at the borders across from the diamond center I found "the final prophecy" autographed by greg keyes, at the wal mart by the diamond center i found the 12 inch Shaak Ti, and in a comic shop in the diamond center I got an old issue of empire I had missed. You sure live in a great state!

glad you found some stuff of interest. I collect only the 3 3/4" figures and this state has been stuck on #44 for a long time now. I actually saw the #48 R2 yesterday, but left him where he was because of the price. I figured he'd be the easiest to find once the newer waves hit Wal-Mart.

Hope you enjoyed your visit, and didn't get too wet. It's been rainy here for over a week straight now.

It was great, and only sprinkeled a couple of times. When we were leaving (9days ago) we could see all of those clouds building up. I have one gripe- your ABC News affliate is a BIG joke.. but I did get a few good laughs at some of the top stories that were sooooo pathetic.

I watch the NBC news... not much better though. Now, if only the rain will stop I could actually enjoy the state for myself.
