The Clone Wars figs are everywhere, with nary a trace of the new Saga figures. I have no desire to get clone wars figures. I really like OT saga figures.

The Clone Wars figures and the basic Saga figures are in totally different cases. Clone Wars is shipping in what used to be Collection 1. And the regular figures are in what used to be Collection 2. :)

I think JON9000 was stating that Clone Wars crap is everywhere, and was not questioning the case breakdowns Jar Jar. JON your absolutely right. Clone Wars is being treated as if it's Hasbro's primary figure line, and not the film figures. It's obvious that this stuff is being shipped out more predominantly than the film figs. I have ignored the Clone Wars stuff (with exception to the Super articulated clone trooper), but the film stuff is very scarce. Hasbro does need to do a role reversal on their line distribution!

Well, he used the term 'pack' that's why I was commenting on the cases. As for why your seeing more Clone Wars then movie figures. Probably due to the fact some collectors arn't collecting Clone Wars. Where as more collect the movie stuff. :)

In my area, some stores seem to treat the SW pegs like they all belong to CW, which means that there's a sea of CW Anakins & Yodas instead of Jabba's Palace Lukes. And since the SA Clone comes on a CW card with CW Saesee & Kit, now there's a ton of those 2 everywhere even though they're brand new. This is exactly what I feared would happen (using my mighty power of hindsight to review the SOTE debacle) and it is coming to pass, in the next 2 months (the dead zone when new toys almost NEVER get seen) it's going to get much worse I fear.

Your right on the money Jeditricks. The Shadows debtacle will corelate with CW because Hasbro thought up this idea and pitched it fervently to retailers convinced that this idea would be a success. Since Hasbro wants this to be a success in their own wishes (rather than the masses) they put all their main effort on it, and ignore the rest. It's corporate (common) stupidity for you. However the clogged shelves are a good thing, as retailers will quickly back off the CW stuff seeing that their pegwarmers. This will force Hasbro to focus on the movies again, but now they need to convince retailers to pick them up now more than ever. Hasbro has had 2 duds in a row. First was Saga, now CW, retailers will be more cautious than ever to make large buys. Hasbro really needs to change gears and focus on the films, which is what it looks like their doing. Now they just need to focus and market that, and when it's at it's height they need to market EU, CW, or Animated figs like they did with the EU assortment in 98 with Thrawn! That was brilliant marketing, what happened to that brilliance.

It a cycle guys. It seems to happen a lot when the figures hit hard. There's always peg warmers and there's aways a few hot figures that everyone wants a few of. The problem is, is that hasbro seems not to have a clue on what will fly off the pegs. They really should have shiped full cases of SA Clones, as they did with Stormies and Vaders back in the day. They know we went crazy for the Clone 3 packs and they pull this. I think the idea behind this is, if we see a CW Clone we will pick up a Yoda and Durge also. You would think by now Hasbro would know we are crazy about Army builders!!:classic:

Yeah, it looks like yoda and anakin clone wars are going to be stinking up the pegs like Lott Dodd and Jango Pilot for most of 2004. Meanwhile, new Saga figures (with the exception of that blue twilek chick) are disappearing as fast as they're put out. I think Hasbro seriously overestimated demand for the first wave of clone wars figures. I guess they thought tons of kids would see the cartoon and rush out to buy the toys. Unfortunately, the cartoon is only a few minutes long, it's on at weird times for a large child audience to view it, and it's only shown on a cable network that not everyone gets.

I know this won't be a popular, but I really wish Hasbro would stop doing E.U. toys until the 6th movie has come and gone. A few more waves of pegwarmers are going to keep the major retailers from ordering any new things at all.

Strange, we seem to be getting a pretyy even mix, with a little more on the SAGA stuff over Clone Wars frome where I have been (Kentucky and Ohio).

Tonight I stopped by Target and found mostly the Bail Organa wave. KB had the Brown coat Han and re-carded "Gold" figure. And one Wal-Mart had only one or two Anakins and Yodas, while the other Wal-Mart had 4-5 cases of Wave 1 Clone Wars (those just hit that store), yet another Wal-Mart had no Star Wars figures at all last night.

As for the Holo Luke wave...it is the second wave of 04, considering what the Holiday season usually has for Star Wars I have been VERY pleased. I already found the the first wave of 04 on a few occassions. :D

The Clone Wars line is good. The only reason why you see them alot more is they are 4 to a case. I too want more saga line figs to show up, but they sell out faster since they are 1 or 2 in a case.

I couldn't agree more Turbowars. With 12 figs per case, if Hasbro is so adamant about not shipping a whole case of clones then how about this assortment:

1 Anakin
1 Yoda
1 Durge
1 Asaaj Ventress
1 Mace
1 Obi-wan
1 Red ARC Trooper
1 Blue ARC Trooper
4 Super Articulated Clones (2 standing-2 kneeling)

Or better yet since some are stinking up the shelves split these to two different cases and give us this:
Case 1
1 Anakin
1 Yoda
1 Blue ARC Trooper
1 Durge
8 Super Articulated Clones (4 standing-4 kneeling)

Case 2
1 Asaaj Ventress
1 Mace
1 Obi-wan
1 Red ARC Trooper
8 Super Articulated Clones (4 standing-4 kneeling)

Each case would come with 2 Jedi, 1 ARC variant, 1 bad guy/gal and 8 clones!

Real simple here! That would have sold like "H" "e" double hockey sticks!!!!
