Multiple pages?

How is it that some threads have a page 1 2 > link to them, while others with more replies are one pagers? Can thread authors do that? Huh, huh? Just-a wonderin'...

Threads with the multiple pages (1,2,>) are determined by how many posts they have and how many posts-per-page you have your options set at. I have mine set at 20 per page (though I'm thinking of dialing that back to 10) and so when I see a thread with 19 posts, it is a single-page thread, but when I see a thread with 21 posts, it's a multi-page thread. This is how it works, it cannot be altered by the thread author, only by the Admin or by your personal options.
