What's everyone's thoughts on the cardback for the convention Boba Fett?
I love it! It looks better than I thought it would and pumps me up for it even more. Heck, I don't know if I'll display it facing forward or backwards :)

I like it too. I just hope I can get one without spending $100+ on e-bay or spending several hundred to go to a convention.

I'm going to the convention in Indianapolis for this figure and for the convention (secondarily). I'll get getting 4 of these puppies - one for me and one for each of my kids.
Late July can't come soon enough for me.

I love the front and back of the card, in fact, I'm gettin 2 of them!
I'll be going to a CON in Ohio, just for this figure!
If I have to, I pay twice admission to get extras for buddies. (There's a two to a person limit, so the only way to get more is to purchase another admission.) What sucks about that is that the figure is already $10 and the admission is $20. So my first two are mine but in order for me not to be out the $20 for the extra admission, I'll have to defer this cost to my friends. I know that borders on scalping, but I can't see any other way to get it for them since they cannot attens. Luckily, these guys understand this and in fact asked me to do this for them if neccessary. They are willing to pay the $20 for an exclusive silver Boba.
It sucks even more because I pride myself on helping others get stuff for their collection at the cheapest price (almost always retail, unless I get it on sale) and here is the one time I'm going to have to charge more than what I paid for a figure.
I hope you guys can see the logic in that.
Please no bashing, they (my friends) asked me to do this for them.

Very interesting... it's got the UK symbols on it. And those have been the main type of figures we've been getting instead of the standard US versions.
The card back itself is interesting, should look pretty snazzy in person.

Well, LT, I think the reason for that is because Hasbro has said that all cards in all regions will be identical. That would explain why there are symbols for multiple regions on the back.

I think the card back sucks. Anyways, I have question for you going to the Con in CA. I heard pre-view day is Wednesday and Thursday is the big day. So there is a total of 5 days that these will be sold. Hasbro said that there is a 6,000 production run. The CA Con is getting what 2,500 3,000 and 100,000 people go to this Con. Whats the chance of me getting 1, if I get there on Saturday? If I take 2 days off work plus other crap like Hotel and gas this figure will run me 800+ bucks. Sounds like e-bay might be the cheapest place other than the Fan Club, if they really get them, or should I say lucky enough to buy one.

$800? Hotel?
Who are you Michael Jackson?
Just hitch hike and sleep in a park nearby. (kidding.)
You could always one day register for thursday ($25) and take your chances. $60 for the whole thing is the same as paying $60 at the door. Besides, your paying for the whole event, not just the Fett figure. Man ... ordinarily you'd have to pay me to go down to San Diego, but I may try it this time.

LOL, All I'm saying, is it's realy not worth going if you are only going for this figure. I can care less for all the other BS. Whats this $60 about? You can't just pay for one day? 800? Well time off work and yeah Hotel or Motel I can care less. Gas, Food and more if my wife wants to go to sea world.

I think the cardback looks cool. Too bad I won't be anywhere near the convention so I won't be getting one. But I would still like one.

What is it with these people? I just looked on ebay to see the card back and this guy has 5 silver boba fetts for sale! What is up with that? He says that he will be getting five. This other guy says he has 60...yes SIXTY...2 day passes and will get 60 figures. This sucks. With people like that, fans like us will never get a silver Boba Fett for a fair price. :(

...or you could just skip the whole affair and send the eBAY seller $100 for the figure and just be done with it.

But ... you'd miss out on all of that convention ambience.

Comic Con is going to be just grand....I am gonna stay at this 5 star hotel called my truck. Turbo you can have the front seat in tilt mode if you keep a look out for the cops and car thieves. Sorry there will be no time for Sea World as this is a make it or break it mission with little sleep.
I have only two missions at Comic Con, get a chromed Fett and whatever other overhyped exclusives they have to offer and talk @$%# to Hasbro. Oh and if there is some hot chicks talk them into buying more Fetts for me and my SW buddies.

Are there going to be Silver Boba Fetts at Wizardworld Comicon in Chicago?

I plan on going to the Indy Convention once, at a minimum. It will be me, my wife and daughter. So I suppose we could buy as many as 6 silver Fett's?!?!
I'm not looking forwards to going to the Convention, from what I've read it's mostly RPG stuff, which I don't get into.
So my first two are mine but in order for me not to be out the $20 for the extra admission, I'll have to defer this cost to my friends.
I'm going to have to charge more than what I paid for a figure.
How do you mean? You end up having to pay $40.00 for 2 Silver Fetts. You end up charging $20.00 each. In my book that's cost! You're not even asking for a couple of bucks for gas, time, expenses, etc.
Besides, your friends will be pleased as punch when they see how much these will be (already are) going for on Ebay.
This will be my first trip to Indy. Though I should have gone to Celebration II! That's OK, I think the Sacul figure is a pretty lame "Exclusive".
What kills me about these things are the "Sealed case" sales on Ebay, or the AFA U90 (uncirculated) Silver Fetts, that will inevitably pop-up.:Pirate:
But, yes, being a fan of the OT Boba Fett, I will definatly be getting this figure. As for the card, it's nice, just not very original, I mean, Fett's not even a 25th Anniversary figure...or is he?
1977-Star Wars (A New Hope) original release no Boba Fett.
1978-Mail away "Mystery figure" turns out to be Boba Fett.
1978-Christmas Special, the first "Cartoon" appearance of Boba Fett.
1979-Star Wars (The Empire Stikes Back) first on screan appearance of Boba Fett.
1997-Star Wars (A New Hope Special Edition) First appearance of Boba Fett in A New Hope.
So I guess, from a "Cartoon" and "Mystery figure" point of view, it is the 25th Anniversary of Boba Fett. But honestly, it feels a bit odd.
Edit: WOW, now I am STOKED to be going to Gen Con Indy!!! I just hit their web site and found there have been a few additions:
Kenny Baker (R2-D2)
Jeremy Bullock (Boba Fett)
Amy Allen (Everyone's favorit Blue Twilek Jedi)
Michonne Bourriague (Aurra Sing)
Dermot Crowley (General Madine)
Warwick Davis (Wicket the Ewok)
Ray Park (Darth Maul)
Daniel Logan (Kid Fett)
Zach Jensen (Kit Fisto)
Rena Owen (Taun We)
Matt Sloan (Plo Koon)
Tooo, cool. I just hope I can see all of them in 4 days, but since I will have nothing better to do there, besides buy Silver Fett's, I may have a shot. Maybe I will even be able to get Jeremy Bullock to sign my silver Fett with a silver paint pen!!! That would be awesome!!! And pictures, lots and lots of pictures!!!

Hey, sith_killer_99,
Watch out for Rena Owen. I've heard nothing but bad things about her and unfortunately can back that up with a real-life experience. She was at my local Con (Pittsburgh Comicon) and she was a bit stand-offish. I'm also a member of my local FanForce (yes through TF.N) anyway, We had a picture that had been painted by one of our members with the intent on getting her and the other two ladies who were there (Amy Allen/Aalya Secura and Femi Taylor/Oola) to sign it for us so that we could raffle it off to raise money for our local Children's Hospital. The other two signed with no problems what-so-ever. Rena on the other hand wouldn't sign it even when I explained what it was for. There is more to this story but I'll leave it at that.
Just be warry of appraoching her as I heard her talking to one of the other ladies about how she can make upwards of $1500 a day off us fans at a convention.
Anyway, back on topic...
I still hope to be attending the Con in Columbus this weekend but now the plans are starting to fall apart. I hope I can make it, because I'm NOT paying for this on E-BAY.

Thanks for the heads up. She's actually LAST on my list, as all the others have actual on screen appearances, besides I want to see all the OT actors first.:D
At $20.00 a pop, I may hold back on a few autographs, besides I want 2 from Kenny and 2 from Jeremy. WOW, this may get expensive.
Oh well, I've never been to a convention before, so I may as well make the most of it.;)
