Just curious as to how many PM's we can have sitting in our box? It seems that now it's only about 20 or less. I remember long ago it was 100, then down to 50 I believe? Is it part of the new upgrades or am I just crazy??? LOL

Anyone else notice this?

Thanks SirSteve :) I just figured out that that counts sent and message tracking too LOL No wonder my inbox was dwindling. DOH!

Message Tracking doesn't count against your total, I just had over 50 tracked messages this week (mainly because I keep forgetting to deactivate that option ;)), but Saved messages do count.

Thanks JT. :D That's were I was "losin'" it. Each time I deleted inbox messages it seemed to allow even less messages in my inbox. I was like "WHAT THE ...!?" And then I thought to delete EVERYTHING, even message tracking. Nice to know I can keep that now though. :)

Good news everybody, the new version of the forums has it so you can download any or all of your PMs as a single file, making it easy to keep archives of your Messages on your HD without letting it fill up on the server. Just tell it which messages to download (or click the link at the bottom of the page that DLs 'em all from every box in one file) and then delete them off the server.

What file type does it save the PMs as? Can you open them on your hard drive without the PM program?

You get 3 choices. I tried the spreadsheet *.csv but I didn't like it. I'm not very familiar with the *.xml data format. You can download it in *.txt format. You save it to your hard disk Pendo, and are able to open it from the location you saved it to. You can open it with "Notepad", "Wordpad", and "MS Word", and I'm sure there are other programs that open text files as well.

Now this is a great new forum feature. I finally was able to clean out my PM fully. Now, just to wait for it to fill up again. ;) :D

I am using the text format because it's surprisingly well-formatted for something so simple and I'm very used to this type of file (like, duh, who isn't ;)). I don't even know what the other 2 formats are for, but one of 'em opened up default in my IE and looked like preformatted text for another program so obviously, I'm not cool enough yet for that one. :D

This feature is probably my favorite so far and I'm glad you folks like it as well.
