As you all know, I'm PC illiterate and I keep getting a message on every screen that says

Java Script Error

Description: Unterminated String Constant
Source: http://www.sirstevesguide.com/forums/newthread.php?s=&action=newthread&forumid=169
Line 43

See more details?

The 'source" is whichever thread I'm in at the time, so that changes. Is this my computer and how do I fix it? It doesn't seem to affect my doing anything (posting and stuff) but it pops up EVERY time and it's getting annoying.

Help!

Looks like you and LBC are having the same problems.

EP, you and me are in the same boat.

I get the same exact message with the url the only variable in the error message.

And yes, it is a minor nuisance.

And yes I am computer illiterate too. Plus, I have a slow computer that is pushing 3 1/2 years. It's going to end up in the mighty Niagara River soon.

I need more details. Operating System, Browser type and version, where exactly does it do it (what page(s)), ANYTHING you can tell me to help narrow it down.

I just received this message while looking in the collectors database, 2002 Saga Toys, Luke Skywalker X-wing Fighter, Bottom pictures. This is when this Java Error appeared.

I am running Windows 98, and I am using Novel Internet Explorer -- not sure which version...

I am betting it has to do with the DHTML nav bar...

First off, I use Netscape 7.02 and I've never gotten the Javascript error. However, after reading all of this I opened up IE and sure enough, there was the same error as everyone else. I did manage to get rid of the error popup and things are A ok for my IE now.

First I downloaded all the new updates and such that IE automatically asks you to do then I went to Tools/Internet Options/Advanced and scroll down to microsoft VM and make sure all radio buttons have a check (java console is optional, at least for me) then I uninstalled the "popup pal" that came with it (don't know if this effects it or not but the reason I did is because with the popup pal the darth maul lightsaber pop up window would not come up but instead the error) and restarted my computer and now I don't get the error at all, the darth maul window pop up comes up just fine and IE runs just fine now too. I'm still using netscape though :) My version of IE is 6.0.2800
