What are the chances that the Mods and SirSteve would let us vote on which words are used to replace "bad words"?

This thought (???.....uhmm...cough.....???) occured after reading the debate over the word gee aye why.

For instance....the word a double s could be replaced by donkey.

Imagine, a post about harassment would turn into
hardonkeyment.

The comic possibilities are ENDLESS!!!

You can discuss the "G A Y" issue and try to convince Steve to see it a different way, but the autocensor isn't a democratic system, it's in place to help the forums stay open for all of us to continue enjoying.


We already had trouble when it was replacing elements in "cockpit" and "assassin", and especially with the "Classic Trilogy", so certain words have to be censored and not replaced or things get... confusing.

See what I mean? That ^^^^ is the funniest thing I've seen on here, EVER!

As far as the Gee Aye whY issue goes. I have no problems with that word being dropped. Everyone (me included) doesn't have the same maturity level, so the use of the word could very easily be used "out of context".

Since we are a forum open to the World, there are some words that probably are missed or misinterprited by others, seeing as alot of our slang words for anatomy, bodily functions, and the like are very different from each others.

There was a big stink here in Orlando with the Virgin Atlantic billboards after people started to realize that the word "Shag" wasn't just a cute word Austin Powers blurted out ad nausium. It meant something......something most stuffy bluehairs weren't ready to see plastered all over town.

Anywho, I've rambled myself off topic kinda, so I'll stop.

I understand now, but come on....
