a. I've never seen him in a store

b. I ordered him from Amoktime like 2 months ago, and they keep saying he's "hard to get" (then why take orders for him?)

Just wait for cripe's sake. Yoda Jedi Master didn't pop up around here for at least 5 or 6 months. I don't expect to find Ephant any time soon, and neither should you.:)

Actually I've gone to stores alot, including TRU, Target and KB, but Maul hasn't ever shown up. I had to get him off of Amazon when they had them for $2.99.

It's nice to vent collecting frustration and not get excoriated. I don't know why, but it makes me feel better for some reason to make stupid posts about elusive figures. :)

Sometimes patience pays off.. and sometimes it doesn't.

It took months before I found the Saga Yoda and Dooku on the pegs. Now, I can't swing a dead womp rat in a store without hitting one :)

But then I wonder.. what if Ephant Mon turns out to be one of those elusive figures that I NEVER saw on the pegs? Like TC-14, R2-B1, Sio Bibble or R2-D2 w/holo Leia? I had patience back then.. but I still never found them. Plus, with so many stores cutting back on SW toys.. well.. it worries me a bit.

I found one Ephant Mon at WM on December 13. That was the first and only time I've ever seen him.

I passed on the Acklay and have never seen another since Summer. But I've yet to see the Deluxe Geonosian and Deluxe Clone Trooper.

I share your frustrations Fulit, I am close to turning to the criminals on ebay to buy Ephant Mon, But you know I wouldn't have to go there to start with if those greedy jerks hadnt bought up all of the exclusives to sell for a large profit on Ebay.

The only way I got mine was a friend sent him to me. I still haven't seen any in stores and alot of sites don't even show him on there.

If I hadn't seen him on Ebay I would not be convinced that this figure exsists, but Sir Steve even has one displayed in his collection in Collections. So there is hope...

I'm glad someone started this post, because I too am at my wit's end. I have never been as excited for a figure as I have this one, and I have seen no sign of him anywhere! Does anyone know of any online retailer (other than Brian's Toys or Amoktime) that has this figure? I really would like to avoid ebay as well, but I truly believe I'm running out of options here. I hear some speak of patience, but patience kept me from getting a TC-14, R2-B1, and a Sio Bibble. Please, any advice (other than more patience)?

Hey guys, I'm not really a dealer, but my dad actually came across three Ephants in a Toys R Us in New Jersey. Funny thing is, the night before he also put a bid for one on Ebay and won. I opened one and have three more. I put two on Ebay and they haven't sold. E-mail me at irishcros@aol.com and we can work something reasonable out. I wouldn't mind taking them off Ebay if I had to either.

Look for your ephant, but do not trust to hope. It is foresake in these lands! :D

I found two about late november. Haven't seen one since.

He is the only figure in the line that I have yet to see. But I do have him. My friend goes to college right next to a TRU so he stops there everyday, and I mean everyday. And in his travels he has only seen the Ephants ugly mug twice, once for him and once for me. Never saw him again.

I've seen Ephant Mon 5 times over the past month. And every time they've been gone the next day. I still have yet to find the 'new' Yoda and Destoyer droid, (I use the'new' loosely in front of yoda).

Although patience has been my ally so far, and I will continue to use it.

I've seen Ephant mostly at K-mart surprisingly enough. I've already got mine, but will keep an eye out for those still lacking. There were actually 3 on a peg at one time.

I think collectors that want Ephant Mon should just buy it from a specialty store. Don't be stubborn and wait for it in TRU or Walmart. Just pay a little extra at a comic store, then you can OWN him. Trust me, I had to do the same because I live in Canada, and paid $15 US, and it was every penny well spent. You won't regret buying him for a little bit more. Trust me.

Also, don't buy it from some guy who just registered onto SSG who is just trying to make a quick buck. Take this from a guy who's angry and cranky from an ebay incident gone wrong!

I got mine from KEBCo a couple weeks ago. Still haven't seen him at retail anywhere. And my shipments from KEBCo usually come weeks if not a month or two after everyone else gets something, so if it isn't on a shelf by now, then it probably won't be.

Lol thank god for my aunt. She's a flight attendant so she goes all over the US and picks up figs and stuff. Its the shizzit. I got Ephant Mon a few weeks ago and I only had to pay like 5 bucks for it cuz she got it at Walt Mart. I'm glad I don't have to pay E-bay scalper prices.

I was like most of you about not finding Mon, but one Saturday I called all the retail stores in my area and some out and finally a K-mart about 20 miles away had 2. An employee held them for me. Sometimes calling around works and sometimes not. It's a pain to call and try to explain to 20 different people what a figure looks like, but it paid off. Now if I could just get a new Yoda, I saw a few at a local collectors store, but at $12.99 each I can wait. The funny thing is, $12.99 is not a lot of money, but If I bought it for that, I would feel stupid looking at it, because he will pop up some time or another.

I guess you were right turbowars ;) If I see another I'll surely pick it up... It's not that I was right, it's just that Mon is only in Wave 9 and so far Hasbro hasn't reported to have placed him in Wave 10 or any other assortment. I like that he's rare, but not this rare.

I've seen Ephant Mon twice in stores. They were quite a few weeks apart but he is out there. There's only like 2 per box on account of his very large size.

Apparently Jedi Drew has been the luckiest one of us all! I've had Ephant Mon for about a month-and-a-half now (thank you KEBco), but Drew and his wife have found three or so of these. He's been getting the extras for his friends who cannot find them. Really nice guy and NOT a scalper!

I just received an update from KEBco also stating that they are waiting for their last shipment of Ephant Mons to fill the remaining "One of Every Figure Club" orders. Apparently Ephant IS a difficult figure to find (unlike the Duros) from what their update reads.

A long time ago I posted a link to KB Toys.com during one of their brief in stock Ephant Mon selling windows and I was able to order some from them and got them (with some card damage because of the way they were packaged) within a week.

Now I am looking for a Slave I ship if anyone is interested in a trade. I can post a pick of the best one of the two I have. ( I bought an extra for another collector but he has not picked it up from me yet.)

I have yet to locate an Ephant Mon myself. I have seen every other figure from the Saga line (in rather plentiful quantities I might add) but none of Jabba's Head of Security. Kinda reminds me of the security guard here at work. . . can never find him. Oh well. . . looks like I'm going to have to scout my local retail stores on a daily basis now before work. I really hate doing that. . . I feel like I am a scalper, and the employees look at me as such. Funny thing though. . . my local WalMart (which I have boycotted for sometime now) has a comic store nearby. That comic store has all the WM exclusives in stock (in large quantities of course), but no Ephant Mon's. At least it looks like they aren't getting them either!!!!! Serves them right!

If I do see any though. . . I'll pick up any extras and post them here. . . looks like we all need to help each other on this one.

I emailed Hasbro about him being discontinued and their response was that it has not been discontinued and will be shipped with the 2003 assortments.

So, hopefully for me that is true! Last time I saw him was at a TRU and some jerk had 1 in each hand :mad:. I should have skipped my lunch & went straight to the store or beat him up for one!!!!:evil:

I got mine from my brother, who ordered 2 of them off of the KB website. I found 4 of them in a Target a few days later, and bought the only decent one to keep in the package. The other 3 were severely damaged. Other than that, he I haven't even heard of anyone around me finding him.

Bam! Finally nabbed him today.
I went into Wally World to get some clasp envelopes and some paper clips - I wasn't even expecting to find anything in the toy department (my WM seems to stock on Thursdays and Fridays). But to my amazement, there sat a beardless Endor Rebel and Ephant Mon. I checked the pegs for anymore of the latter (in case I could send it to someone on here), but I'm sorry to say there weren't :(

Have to say though, this figure was worth the wait. Truly one of the best (if not THE best) figures that Hasbro has put out. No crap action features, no silly pose. Just an awesome sculpt, nice paint job and decent articulation. Very nice job!

Anyway, to those that don't have one yet: don't give up hope. And I'll keep an eye out for more to try to help people on here :D.

I finally gave up and bought one at a collector store for $15. Murphy's law states that I'll find a whole bunch at Wal-Mart in the next week. Oh well, better safe than sorry. I don't feel too bad since this is the first time in a long while I had to get something in the secondary market. Though I might have to do the same thing to get that darned Acklay.

I have seen him, ONCE. They were asking $45.00 for this piece. I inquired at a Toys-R-Us and the employee said that one case had emerged from shipping. He took one, paid for it of course, and the other dangled for 10 minutes until another employee secured it for his collection. The first employee told me that his employer would not be getting anymore of that assortment in because they had too many other figures in that case assortment hanging from their pegs.

He's going to start shipping again at somepoint soon, according to Hasbro. So don't worry yet, the previous Fan Choice figures have been moderate peg warmers. Ephant Mon probably will at some point also. :)

nope, not exclusive, just shipped one per case as I was told. ebay is as much about patience as waiting for stuff to hit the retail shelves. bidding now just drives up the price, wait until the last second and keep the high bid low. set your limit and don't bid over it. I just picked up two for about $10 each, is that really such a rip off over retail when you factor in months of gas and frustration driving all over town every other day looking for him? I don't even need or what them, I just picked them to pass on to some friends for what I paid for them.

Nope, they were packed 2 per case. Wave 9 I believe. Ebay is one of the big reasons why you can't kind Mon, Ace. In away E-bay has destoryed Collecting. Once someome finds out that something is hot a scalper will by every single one and sell them on e-bay. Sure you can find them on Ebay, but thats why.

I decided to forego the frustration and traded a vintage Artoo for an Ephant Mon from Brianstoys, waaay back in late October. I didn't see any on the pegs until Christmas Eve night at Wal-Mart, where I saw two and picked them both up as gifts (one for my brother, the other for kidhuman). The only other one I have seen was a horribly mispainted one at K-Mart that sat on the shelf for a week, then eventually disappeared. Even for the desperate collector, I don't think you'd want to settle for a figure as badly painted as this one was.

Well, Ephant Mon now exists in my collection, albeit at a high price. My patience only lasts about 3 or 4 months, which is up from the 3 or 4 weeks I used to wait before ordering online. Despite bad run ins in the past, Brians Toys came through for me this time. Thanks to Brain. And his toys.

All 3 Ephant Mon have been claimed. Thanks to everyone who inquired. I only wish I had more than the 3 to sell. If I find more, I will let everyone that didn't get one this time have 1st dibs on the next ones.
