Hello guys...and gals!!
Can any one explain me what the C8-C7, etc rank means?
which is best and how you based that?
Whats the difference between green or orange carded?
What does it means that a model is "mint" ?
I will appreciate your help a lot!

1. Cards: When SW figs began their second production run in '95 the line was called "Power Of The Force 2" (POTF2) and was released on Orange cards. About 12-18 months later the card color was changed to green.
Here, I think, is a complete list:
-Orange
-Green w/ photo of character
-Green w/ Holo of ...
-Green w/ Film Slide, referred to as FF (Freeze Frame)
-Green w/ Flashback Photo , released just prior to E1
-Green w/ COMMTech Chip , released concurrently w/ E1.
This was the final card for POTF2. A new series was then launched, Power Of The Jedi (POTJ), which lasted until last Spring and only came on Green Cards. After that, all figures (AOTC as well as any figs from the 4 other movies) were released on the current blue Saga cards.
2. Mint. Think of a newly minted coin. bright, shiny, no scratches or anything else wrong w/ it.
3. As for C8... I think the C stands for Collector Grade, and the higher the number the better. It sounds like you've been shopping on eBay. The C is rather subjective, as usually the seller doesn't have an appraiser come out to place a value. Look for pictures, and ask questions if your not sure.
Buyer beware!
Good luck!

I think that Dr_Evazan22 is correct, although I think (dont know for sure) but c9 is the highest rating, I have never seen higher than a c9. Please if anybody knows better, please correct me, so my own information is correct. And like Dr_Evanzan22 said, I have only seen that kind of a rating system on ebay, especially for the "serious" collectors who think they really have something great. My opinion, I wouldnt sweat the ratings too much on the stuff you can go buy in a store, worry more about the vintage items when they start putting a rating with the items. Thats when you start talking about the value of an item

On the "C grading scale - it takes into account several things:
1. Condition of the backer card - punched hole at the top (if any) or not, price sticker present or not, corners (bent/creased or not), etc.
2. Condition of the plastic bubble. These things will/can yellow over time - be sure they are stored in proper containers and in darkness.
3. Scaracity of the figure. Kenner/Hasbro may have made 3 Million R2-D2's but if they only made 1,000 C-3PO's then the C-3PO would command a higher price based one the fact there are fewer available.
Hope this is helpful.

They do have c-10 but I think it is like buying a new car onceit leaves the showroom(in this case shipping case it) it loses some value.
