Hello SSG powers that be:
___________:rolleyes:

Just wondering, why is it necessary to have the 2000 charcter limit to private messages? It doesn't make sense to me and it is a pain. I think 5000 is much more reasonable. Are you open to negotiation?

It's about harddrive space, if we gave everybody a 5k character limit on PMs, we'd probably have to lower the amount of PMs you can have in your box or take away some other function. It's not supposed to be a substitute for email, it's a messaging system. Last time I saw it, ICQ had a 475 character limit on non-direct-connetion messages, 2000 is a lot more than that.

Obviously, I don't have the final say in this matter, so if you have compelling testimony ;) feel free to put it up for SirSteve to digest.

OK.

A messaging system it is.

JT said it best. Use e-mail for longer messages. :)
