Why cant I attacht a pic?? Whats up?

I cant attach a pic for some reason...it's the right format and not to big??? Whats going on??? I've never had this problem before?

What is the size of your pic?? Is it a BMP?? cause that is not supported. The Valid file extentions are .gif .jpg .png .txt .jpeg. Give me some more info adn I might be able to tell you what's going on. Also, when it fails to upload, what does the screen say???

Are you certain its not too big? The white background counts as part of the picture too. If that is the problem, open the picture up in paint. From paint, reduce the size of the page (not the image) by grabbing one of the corners of the page and shrinking it like you would an image. This should keep the image the same size and reduce the white background. Resave the picture in the proper format, then try posting it.

Yes I'm certain I double checked because I thoguth the same thing to. It's a jpeg......I'm going to try one more thing before I throw in the towel..thanks very much. LM I did recrop the picture and it still didnt work. I'm going to try to repost a pic that I posted in here awhile back and see if that works..

What is the message it gives you when it fails? How big is the filesize (in bytes or kilobytes) and what is the file name w/extension?

I see what's happening here. You can't upload multiple copies of the same attachment. I have had the same thing happen. The page that pops up, links to the original thread that your attachment is in. Just scroll down and right click on the attachment, and choose "Copy Shortcut". Then paste the copied shortcut into the thread your trying to attach to. :)

I've had that problem before where I forgot I already posted a pic and it wouldn't let me do it again. I think that might be the most commom problem, like Jar said.

Yes, we have it set so it does not allow you to upload the same image twice. It saves on bandwidth.

Steve, I wasnt trying to post the same image twice ...when i was trouble shooting i mentioned that i would try to post a pic I had previously posted. That wasnt what I was trying to do in the first place...i was just trying to post a pic that had not been posted before. I think I just confused myself.LOL
