Following on from the McQuarrie concept trooper thread, would you be interested in having a collectors choice figure poll, just for a bit of fun?
I'd like to hear if you think this is of interest and how it could be done, who would choose the candidates, would it be every fortnight, every month, is it feasible at all, would Hasbro take notice?

I'm am unsure as how this would differ than the Fan Polls.
If you are saying that they would all be concept or expanded universe figs, then, no. I am definitely not interested.
If, however, you just mean figures fans have been clamoring for, suchas Hem Dazum -- then by all means, yes.

you're a feisty little one......
Trouble with polls is the choices are always limited and there's always going to be people who disagree. The polls section here has had some success at finding many voices interested in similar items. have you had a poke around in the polls section death star gimp? Considering that mostly we're all collectors here anyway i think it meets your requirements. Tycho's polls have one problem though, If tycho offers more than six choices he gets edited. I think when it comes to areas like the cantina or jabba's palace you need plenty of scope for choice to truly reflect what people want. Giving scant choice means people will submit a vote but it's usually not their first choice they vote for. It's then followed by a post by the voter explaining this and wishing they'd had a chance to vote for the first choice.
In an ideal world hasbro would put up to vote their proposed product and give collectors a chance to vote out stuff they wouldn't buy. Like say yet another Luke tatooine or yet another boring jango fett figure or another Darth maul. A process of elimination rather than elevation. But hasbro are too arrogant in that respect to take note of sensible ideas like this. It would set a precedent which could have ramifications they wouldn't like and take a certain amount of power from them as far as decision making goes. hasbro likes to have control over what we buy whether it's right or not. whether it's good product or not.
In actual fact the dear hasbro section and the polls section are probably the strongest place for getting your voice heard by hasbro since they do read those sections and guage fan/collector reaction on it. If I'm not mistaken the current screen scenes are happening because Hasbro actually responded to collectors. Certain things have changed in the time I've been coming to SSG because hasbro listen. It actually takes a long time for change considering the size of the hasbro machine. It's a slow lumbering creature with a small brain. you have to shout really loudly to get yourself heard.
Go ahead and create some kind of poll system other than what's in place if you want to, it might help. You'll never know until you try. :)

I agree with Jargo, Death Star Gimp throw something out there, and I'll gladly vote away. We'll never know what works without trying!
PS My vote's for R2-D2 Jabba'a Sailbarge w/ Drink Tray
