Back in August, I posted about the field length in the 'edit profile' page not permitting enough characters for me to enter my SSG collections page as my home page. I just tried it again, and it still doesn't work. Here is a link to my original post, and a link to my home page.
my original post (http://www.sirstevesguide.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=203)
-and-
my SSG collections page (http://209.197.117.27/databases/action.cgi?setup_file=sscollections2.setup&category=starwars&topic=70&search_and_display_db_button=yes)
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The collections page is a sad sad system and it will soon be replaced. However, I will make the URL field box a little longer.

Try now. I doubled the character amount.

Sir Steve, it still cuts off the address after the ampersand (sp?) in the address after the words "starwars."

Sir Steve,
I tried again to update my profile with the link that goes all the way to my collections page. The profile still only saves the address as shown below:
http://209.197.117.27/databases/action.cgi?setup_file=sscollections2.setup&category=starwars&
but the correct/complete link is:
http://209.197.117.27/databases/action.cgi?setup_file=sscollections2.setup&category=starwars&topic=70&search_and_display_db_button=yes
It really isn't all that big of a deal. If it could be solved without causing anyone any headaches, that's one thing. If it's a hassle then don't worry about it.

these posts keep abbreviating the real URLs. To see the real length of the URLs, you need to go to the link and look at the address. (but then, you prolly already knew that)

...but I have another question. Several weeks ago, I setup my profile to email me every time there was a reply posted to a thread I had posted to. About a week ago, I deselected that option in my profile and submitted the modifications, but I continue to receive the emails. Is there something I am not doing correctly to discontinue receiving the emails?
Thanks, Sir Steve.
