Playing in SW:TCG tournaments

Does anyone here play in TCG tournaments for the WOTC SW game? I went to my first one last night and I was the only person who showed up for it. I waited around for half-an-hour and then took off. I don't know if they are hard to come by or I just don't know where to look but I've yet to come across one in my area (Utah).

Are they pretty cutthroat or just friendly games?
