Went and picked up the new U2 DVD at Best Buy then hit WM and Super-K. WM had MAYBE 15 figures and a few gunships. All Super-K had were some arenas, some 2 packs of figures :rolleyes: , and about 15 to 20 figures. Still looking for that holiday set and one more dlx clonetrooper. No snow here yet as of 10:50 A.M. The wife wanted to go out the Target in Strongsville today so we did. But before we got there I stopped at Strongsville WM-they had NOTHING new at all plus the place was packed with people. That's why I go shopping in the morning!!!! Target had all of the old accessory sets-no new figures. Now it's starting to snow and rain. HH Boys.

Still no sign of those Holiday sets. Went to my fathers grave today with my mom and on the way back stopped at a WM by the cemetery. Even way out in the boonies they only had the new 12"-no new figures ( they maybe only had 15 to 20 figures on the pegs) and no Holiday Sets. Whats up Wally World?? You will not believe what I just found at my TRU. Although they have not had ANY POTJ figures for months, I got BoShek, Teebo, and R4-M9!!! These were the only ones they had, and I was quite surprised when I found them. I had only seen R4-M9 once but didn't get him until today, and I had never even seen Teebo or BoShek. They're all really great, quite a good hunt. :)

cool. we got destroyer droid, all the accessory sets, and saw 2 ephant mons on the pegs at a target in huber heights, OH. since my dad already has a DD coming in the mail, i will get one of them to open. the AS (accessory sets) rock! i wanted the geo battle set, but i passed. the total of everything today was 57.30 (the 4 accessory sets, a DD a thing of, no one laugh! pokemon cards, and a weather calender for next year.)) all in all a good day. oh, and star trek nemisis is AWSOME! too bad data dies....that really sucked...:cry:

Slayer-go to the Southland Expo in Southland Mall. It's on S. High St. just a bit north of 270. WAY DOWN THERE! It's like this flea market kinda thing there. It's huge so I'll tell you how to get to the stand.

Go in the actual flea market. At the first isle you come to, turn left. You'll go by the concession stand and an ATM. Walk down to the around the pool table. On the right side across from there is a store/stand called Finders Collectables. He has a bunch of Star Wars and Hot Wheels. He's a really cool guy. He has a lot of POTF2 stuff for $3-$4. More expensive figs from there. The last time I was there he had a lot of the EU figs. I don't recall offhand if there was a Mara Jade, but I remember there being a lot of them there so there may have been. The flea market is only open on Friday, Sat., and Sun. from like 12-5. That's a pain, but it's not that bad. His prices are really good. Let me know if you get down there and what you thought.

I saw the Two Towers today also, it was great. Although I don't like to admit it, it was MUCH better than AOTC. You could just tell the directing was better, the actors didn't sound wooden like Natalie and Hayden. (Especially Natalie...geez, she's horrible.) I consider it the best movie of the year. Oh, and my dad said he stopped by TRU to shop for my cousins and he said they had the Blue Coruscant Guard (POTJ), POTJ Battle Droids and Ellors Madak. I guess my TRU is FINALLY getting POTJ figures...? :D

i just got done beating clone wars for gamecube and, IT IS THE BEST SW GAME EVER! the people actually look real! so does everything in that game! and the plot is very very good too! anyone else played this?

AHHHHH!!!!! I hate it when people talk about the wooden acting in the new Star Wars movies. HAVE YOU EVER SEEN THE ORIGINAL TRILOGY? Mark Hamil and Carrie Fisher didn't exactly turn out Oscar caliber performances. SW is a B-Movie with an A-Movie budget. That what GL wants, and that's what he got. GL is not going to make the prequels like Schindlers List just b/c he can (and believe me, with the cast he has for the prequels, he could). If he did, the 6 movies would not match. Accept the PT for what it is. More SW movies.

So having said that, of course TT is a better movie than AOTC. TT is better than any other Star Wars movie (except maybe Empire). But as good as it is, LOTR will never work it's way into society the way Star Wars has. I mean, you can know look up the word "Jedi" in the freeking Webster's Dictionary. That's what sets SW apart from everything else.

I'm not trying to start a flame war here Darth Sidious. I know where your coming from. I agree with you. I've just expressed this same opinion on other threads and other sites, and just thought I'd bring it up here and maybe we can all weigh in with what we think on the subject........

i must confer. TT was slighty better than AOTC. this just raises the bar for E3. lucas will really have to do very good on it to make it look somewhat better than ROTK and TTT. and since LOTR has a movie out next year too, that is where ROTK will come in play for making lucas make E3 even better. i know he can do it. i hope he will.

Guys, I've descided to keep all of my starwars stuff and look at it as a "side hobbie" and a few other things....

The Two Towers "slightly" better than AOTC!?!?!?!?!?!?!
In my opinion the Two Towers blew AOTC out of the bloody water. Just my thoughts... although whoever pointed out that Starwars is a larger part of our society had a good point.

As far as the clonewars being the best SW game for gamecube is a tought descission because i think Rougue Leader II was the best game for the system overall If i remember correctly... Rogue Leader got a 9.2 on ign and the clonewars only got an 8.1. Also, I did descide to sell my Gamecube on behalf of games like Mario Sunshine and Animal Crossing. So i basicaly traded it for an brand new x box.

On my lunchbreak from work today, I got the flying geonosian at Target, along with the interactive R2-D2 on clearance. It was somewhere around $60 or so. There were 3. I bought one, my friend I was with bought one as a present to someone, and she said she may go back and get the last one for herself. We had it out in the middle of the office playing with it around 5:00 or so. I love to work at a place where you can break out an R2 unit and play with it, and everyone gathers around wanting to play with it to. Including the owners of the company.

NOW.....you guys will never believe what I just found at WalMart. I reemphasize.......WALMART! I saw the new Trash Compactor sets and TIE Bomber, but passed on them. I am really enjoying LOTR figures though. I have bought a few more, and now have Sauron, Treebeard, Pippin, Ugluk, Saruman the White, and Legolas (Rohan armor). These completely blow Hasbro's figures out of the water.

The LOTR figs are cool. SW needs to make some really cool larger scale figs. The Unleashed are cool, but they're more statues. The SW 12" line blows. It needs to be discontinued all together.

Personally, I think the newest Star Trek figs are generally better than some of the star wars line.

well, luck pulled off last night for me! got all the old ones that got re-packed in the SAGA packages and padme' and 2 tusken raiders (camp ambush). they had only 1 padme' or i would have gotten 2 of her. the tusken rocks! it has the removable head feature! great figure! padme' looks sweet too!

It's not that the toys don't sell. They sell like crazy. Hasbro just doesn't distribute correctly. They haven't realized that the market has moved from the 5 year old screaming "mommy I want that", to the collectors. Once we get Final Battle Mace Windu and Outland Peasant Anakin, then we have it and no more will be sold. They keep putting that stuff in boxes along with the new toys, thus eventually that stuff sits on the shelves and we can't get anything new in.

Oh....and what P.O.'d me the most was the Hoth Han Solo thing, with the blue coat/brown coat. I don' t mind buying both too much, but I don't want Hasbro to tell me "It's because we want to be authentic" I'm smarter than that. It's b/c they know we'll buy them both, thus they can sell twice as many Han Solo figs. Don't insult my intelligence.

I know this isn't news to anybody. But I'm begging, I'm pleading with you Hasbro......You are making great toys. BUT UNDERSTAND YOUR MARKET! I've had the new Obi and Tyrannus since around Christmas time, but I haven't found anything else new since. I'm serious man, Columbus is a black hole. It's the same crap at every store. Nothing at all new. Someone found a couple new ones at a WalMart last Friday, but only one of each.

Due to the recent cuteness of several forumites (either intentionally or unintentionally done) to bypass curse words through the AC, an update on the policy has been put into place. Although most mods aren't mentioning it, I figure that I would since the penalties of violation are much more severe than what they previously were. That way it won't be like it was totally sprung by suprise. Consider this the only warning on the matter.

The autocensor is missing words containing cuss words in them, such as "******", this is not the only phrase that the AC is missing either. I've noticed that many mods simply edit out the offending text without telling myself or Steve about the problem.

The update to the policy on swearing is now no-tolerance, that is to say that every offender gets suspended on the first offence (using a word that the AC doesn't recognize or using a spelling that actively tries to circumvent the AC with alternate characters such as using "$" in place of "s"). The use of the language should be immediately removed from the thread and then the user should be reported to myself or Steve.

Slayer: I routinely (sorry I can't spell) go to the one at Lennox. It's close to my job. Litereally nothing for 3 months except the Mace Windu's and then they put out that crap......
The Easton one is really close to my house, but I stopped going there. I think all the toys that got pulled from the shelves of other Targets went there. I might have to try it again before long though just to see what's what.

Oh yea, just to warn everybody.....I'm gonna be useless for the next month. OHIO STATE SPRING FOOTBALL STARTS TOMORROW!!!!! Only in Columbus can an entire city come to a screeching hault b/c spring practice starts. And I am one of the idiots. I'm anxious for all the excitement; who will put themselves in the running for one of the two open LB spots-D'Andrea, Carpenter, Hawk (who has my vote), Pagac; who will immerge as the front runner for the third QB spot-Zwik, Smith???? These are important things that only spring ball will answer. If anyone wants a complete breakdown of these issues, just let me know (and I say that very sarcastically b/c I know that following spring ball is twice as geeky as collecting Star Wars)

Slayer, No I didn't ever find him. I think I just missed him there once or twice. I actually never found Ephant Mon. I got him from a fellow forumite who hooked me up (thanks again Drew). I was just there today and they condensed the figs they have into just 3 pegs so they have 4 or 5 empty pegs they can put new stuff on. Hopefully they did that b/c they're expecting new stuff soon.

Went on a hunt today, nothing in the way of SW, but that's ok, because I got a Katana Blade! I'll post pictures of it when I get the chance. It was only $35, too, and it's a pretty good blade.

I got something sorta kinda new.......I got the Yoda Electronic Lightsaber. I basically got if for my nephew. He's about 3 ft. tall so I figured that'd be about the right size for him.
